Samuel Ricketts just couldn't get used to the smell. The air had a strange acid smell to it and the horseless carriages really did frighten him. This new world he found himself in was crazy. He couldn't wait to get back down to hell; he was beginning to miss the screams and terror.
His legs felt strange as he walked, it felt like he was on board a ship in a storm. He could feel Carson's body working within him, more than once he felt like being sick. This body would not last long. But he had a job to do and his master needed him more than ever before. He searched Carson's pockets and found only a small amount of money and a comb. Of all the rotten luck. He would have to ask for help.
He used his new voice and spoke for the first time in over 200 years to the man dressed in black. "I nnnneed hhheelpp." Scab turned away and walked faster.
Next, he tried the lady. "Ccccaann yooouuu." She looked at him puzzled and said. "Oh, later my dear let's hear what the young lady has to say."
Finally he pulled at the old man's jacket."Yyyoouu hhavee tooo." But Mr Petrova frowned at him and said. "No, I'm sorry I can't understand you, are you drunk?"
The group stopped and Beth motioned for them all to step inside a cold looking building.
Samuel Ricketts felt a wave of sickness go through him. He had to speak soon before. Well he didn't know what would happen but he felt like he didn't have long.
"You might be wondering why we are all stood in a disused public toilet." Beth said. The group gave a chuckle. She had swiped this spot from the Spooks and Loo's tour. Business was business after all, Beth thought. "Here in 1924, a Mr Walter Davis reported on seeing a Roman Legion walk right passed this spot."
Samuel Ricketts raised Carson's hand and spoke. "I needd tooo speakk."
Beth fumbled with her sleeve she had thought the emo would be the crazy in this group. "Well you're free to leave to use your mobile phone Mr Adams." She gave a side step away from him. His eyes were completely crossed eyed.
Samuel Ricketts swayed Carson's head back and forth. He could feel something inside him and it didn't feel good. "Noooo one'ss llleaavvinng hhhereee till I ssppeeakk withhh..."
And that was the moment Samuel Ricketts left Carson Adams body forever. Possession was always a tricky thing to pull off he thought as he leapt out of the body. He would have come up with a better plan but his master insisted time was against him. So, the first human that came near his grave he leaped into. He had hoped he would have had more time but beggars can't be choosers.
His ghost hovered in front of the screaming group. Beth in a moment of clarity locked herself inside one of the toilets and got out her mobile phone. There was only one person she knew that could fix this and it sure as hell wasn't Ghostbusters.
Samuel Ricketts screamed with all his might at the group that had treated him so rudely. "Now will someone make a call for me?" The master had also insisted that he knew what a mobile phone was.
It's funny what the devil knows.
