The Queen of the faeries saw Wraith and shouted at the top of her voice. "Push me higher more." She laughed wildly as he did. The swings chains were creaking harder as she went higher and higher. It looked like she might loop the loop at any moment.
"Wwwwwweeeee." She screamed as she jumped off, for a second or two it looked like she was flying. She landed like a cat on the grass and laughed crazily as she saw Wraith's face.
"Oh, don't makes no panic my Ivy Prince." She giggled. "Now come now there, here." She patted the grass next to her. "Lets me and you's talks upon your mother's skin my Ivy Prince."
Wraith sat down next to her and looked shyly into her eyes. Aurora danced across her pupils. She smelt of wild honey and chestnuts. Her skin was whiter than snow. "I am honoured to meet you." Wraith said. He felt it wouldn't take much to fall in love with her.
She grinned and pinched his cheek. "I's almost as older than be your mother." Wraith blushed; he still couldn't believe this was all happening.
"You should be speaking now with she." The Queen gave a frown. "She's a worrying for you always." Wraith rubbed the grass. "I will soon, I promise."
The faerie Queen clapped her hands. "Goodness good for that's." She then jumped up and said. "I's wishes his present now here." From the light behind the tree line six faeries danced through the air towards them. They each took it in turns to hold a small green velvet box. The Queen took the box and shooed them away. "Coming now here Ivy Prince."
Wraith walked over and she handed the small box to him. "This from me to you always Ivy Prince. We are happy you hers son now and always then. This gift for you alone yourself."
He took the box an opened it. Inside was a gold ring. It was covered in the design of Ivy. "This is very beautiful; I thank you very much." Wraith said humbly.
"Listen sharp with ear. Its binds the spells of you're choosing stronger. So if me's was you's I keep that ring on thy finger for always till then." She said.
"Why do you give me such a gift?" Wraith said. "Shouldn't it be me giving you a gift?"
She leaned over and kissed him with the softest lips imaginable. His whole body felt drunk with excitement. "I takes that kiss as a given gift." She leaned a little closer and whispered in his ear. "A secret between I's and you's. No mother has no needing to knows that now."
Wraith nodded and slipped the ring onto his small finger. It fitted like a glove. "I thank you again. This is a special gift indeed. But I must ask why do you do this for me?" He felt bewildered by it all. The faerie folk spoke and lived within riddles that only they knew the answers to.
She smiled and walk back to the light. "I does it right because I's loves your mothers farm. Now close them eyes and counting no more than 10."
Wraith did so and when he finished, he opened his eyes and found himself alone in the park. It came as no surprise to him. He twisted the ring around his finger and studied it. It looked old and different. Wraith felt that his spells would become stronger because of this ring.
From behind him a crashing came, Hex was back. "I'm sorry boss. I was chasing deer and the time slipped away from me."
"How so? You've only been gone..." and then Wraith remembered. He looked at his watch, it was almost dawn. Nearly 8 hours he had been with her. He gave a laugh.
"What's so funny boss." Hex said.
"My mother, Hex." Wraith laughed. "She knows the strangest of folk."
