It has been many millennia since Lord Kratos massacred the Gods of Olympus and the Titans. The few remaining Gods shut themselves up and have either slowly withered away or were invaded in their dimensions by powerful heros and were killed. After the chaos of the elimination of the egos of various Gods normalcy was restored, all of Greece stood united and the country flourished! Trades between Greece, Egypt and also the primitive kingdoms amidst the frigid north flourished. Monsters and New Egos of Gods are the only threats to the existence of Mankind.
City of Corinth. Spring of Year 2000, Age of Clemens.
Heavy grunts and sounds of a shield clashing against a wall resounded as a small 5 year old boy practiced his shield bash. People passing by couldn't help but think "Mad Spartan Child". Hours passed and the routine of Shield Bash, Spear Thrust and Charge were completed. The small boy had a dip in a lake and was quickly present in the Hall of Hypatia branch in Corinth. Commoners all over Greece and Rome were blessed by the Hall of Hypatia, which provided free access to knowledge from basics to intermediate level. Twice in a week, a scholar from the Scholastic Guild also volunteered to teach letters, grammar, diction and elocution. Today a scholar was going to teach numbers and basic arithmetic to interested people. Scholar Polygonus was a cheery person of "heavy" bearings, with a deep bass voice.
"Good evening, fellow humans I and my acolytes will be teaching numbers and arithmetic today. Those who are yet to learn numbers, please go to the left and those who need to learn addition and subtraction please go to the right", said Polygonus with his cheery bass voice reverberating in the secondary auditorium of the Hall of Hypatia. As the common masses shuffled around, Polygonus couldn't help but notice a 5 year old moving towards the right. Shocked Polygonus instigated his acolyte Menlos to interrogate the kid. Menlos in a placating tone asked, "Hey kid, What is your name? Are you sure you have learned the numbers enough to start learning arithmetic?" The kid cast a calm yet powerful gaze at Menlos and in a steady voice said, "I am Lucius son of Atreides from Sparta. I have been counting my spear thrusts, shield bashes, push ups, laps, lunges for many days, separately and together to practice counting. My father says counting together is addition, so I came to learn." All shuffling sounds stilled for an intense 10 second period as the same thought ran through every mind in the room, "A Spartan using his brain? A Spartan replying calmly?" Lucius stood straight even when nearly 100 pair of gazes stared at him. He calmly walked to the right side of the room and sat with a slightly eager expression on his face. Polygonus and his acolytes couldn't wait to experience this novelty of teaching a Spartan.
All through the evening the sponge like mind of Lucius absorbed all the arithmetic taught. Completely exhausted after training his body and mind, Lucius entered a rented shack welcomed by the loving arms of Cersei, his mother.
After a quick dinner of unleavened bread and lentil soup, Atreidus announced "Son, generally kids train after they get a Job Class at the age of 7, I know you are excited by the stories of God Slaying Heros like Kratos, Orestus, Ba'Amun but you need to exercise caution. I, your father am joining a frontier village as its resident hunter along with my brother. We'll be shifting to the village by new moon. Here's a Silver coin, get any books from the Ptolemy Book Store that can contribute towards your learning."
"Thank you, father." Lucius replied, tucking the silver coin into the fold in his belt. He wished his Parents a goodnight and proceeded into the hands of Morpheus. It has been 2 years and his parents were still stunned at the calmness of a child.
Atreidus, slowly sipping his wine, looked towards his wife, "Dear, it seems we'll be going to the frontier, where anytime we could perish. Will your family take in Lucius if anything happens to us?" "My brother might just train him or give him an artifact, to get rid of the debt of being my sibling. Otherwise I wouldn't trust my family to even shed a single tear over my dead body." replied Cersei, emitting fury from her eyes. With a deep sigh Atreidus sipped his wine in silence as he contemplated his situation, eventually surrendering and turning to sleep.
Herein starts the journey of the future God Slayer Lucius, the Chaotic Magic Swordsman.
