Chapter 7 - 7 Commotion at Work

"Song Cha Mii!" Wan Chu burst into the office without knocking. "What a surprise. You're back so soon."

"Don't do that! Please knock before coming in?" Camellia glared at her as she heaved a deep breath recovering from the surprise. "One of these days surely be my bad day to die in a heart attack." Wan Chun raised her hands as a sign of apologies for her abrupt entrance. She elbowed down on the desk with her hand supporting her chin while staring at her junior in glee.

Camellia ignored her to continue giving instructions to her new intern assistant, Jae Yoon that Wan Chun took six months before she went for vacation back to her homeland, Thailand. "I'm getting my job back." without looking at her senpai.

"Cha Mii nim, the 10am appointment is here. The Park couple is now in the Tulips room.'' Shin Doo, another intern, showed his head on the doorway.

"Okay thanks, Shin Doo shii," Camellia replied from her desk, and she quickly stood as she gathered all her works with her that she busily compile together the past three days before Carol's wedding takes places. She was grateful to the new intern that helps with the works while she was away. "Don't forget to sent in some refreshment too afterwards."

"No problems. Leave it to me." The intern cum as part-timer office boy waved his hand an 'okay' sign as he accepted her gratitude and walked away. He has been working with the company for a year now. More or less, he able to do many jobs for them.

"Will this be all, Cha Mii nim? Then I'll head to get everything ready for the Park's couple." Jae Yoon turned to her boss.

"Just for now," Cha Mii heaved a smile at her assistant. "Let me know if the sample that I ordered arrived." Tulips. That's the flower theme for this Park couple since the wife very much love the tulips so much especially when the wife-to-be went to study "Let me know if the sample arrived." the assistant nodded and bowed before leaving the office.

She smiled, watching at her assistant's back as she was leaving the office. Camellia turned back to the other works at hand. The desk was once organised, and tidy is now full of samples and files. Wan Chu frown at her sight. She turned back to stare at her junior with concern.

"I heard something peculiar about someone been staying here." Wan Chu sat on the edge of the desk with her arms crossed. The whole time staring at her junior to gauge her reactions. Camellia halted action only confirmed her fear. "You know I am ever grateful at your hardworking from the start of this business. But, I never expected you to disregard your health and social life at all."

The 'WeddingBliss' company was just a dream at first. It was accidentally inspired by Camellia senior- Wan Chun. She was a Thai Chinese origin. She went to study in South Korea 5 years ago. Wan Chun was three years senior in their time in the faculty of business hotel management at the University of Seoul. The moment they were introduced, she knew that this lady going to be her favourite senior. There were rumours of course, but she doesn't believe it. For Carmelia, Wan Chun senpai is too beautiful and graceful for them to gossip about her origins.

Before that, Camellia once saw her passed by the cafe outside the faculty and all eyes were on her. For a woman like that to be so perfect and humble person is like nearly zero in this world. They with beauty is like either already non-exists or rare creatures. Even Camellia, a woman watching her graceful swing her sexy hips makes her blushes at sight. Wan Chun senpai's body is top-notch with a size D cup, tiny waist and moderately size hips. Her skin was smoothly white as if she takes extra care to have such skin. Her voice was melodiously soft and sweet.

But, surprisingly she still single and it doesn't seem to bother her at all. She seemed to enjoy all the attention she been having from the crowds. Nearly every day, flowers were sent to her by her admirers. It seemed after she graduated from University, admirers still flocking at her like a flower and a bunch of bees.

"You supposed to enjoy your honeymoon like a loving newlywed couple," Wan Chu concernedly aware her nonchalant behaviour might affect her health. Of course, she knew their marriage was not based on mutual love at all. However, she always can resolve it with divorce. Nowadays, it has been a norm to all married couple. Even the recent married couple that they had been in charged with the planning were ended up divorced. Some were in the middle of divorcing with common reasons. But, she didn't dare to recommend that option to her junior. "You should stay at home and try to know more about your hotty husband."

"Then why didn't you be the replacement bride that day?"

"I see that you still mad about that," Wan Chun moved to the sofa and sat down. "I know your feeling right now but hey don't blame me. I, myself just arrived from my vacation and that niece of mine suddenly kneeling begging me to help her." Wan Chun crossed her arms, watching her reactions. "You want to blame someone, then look for that troublemaker." Camellia didn't argue with her. She knew Wan Chun well. Senpai will not be doing this without any reason.

"Is Erika around?"

"I think so." Wan Chu pouted when Erika's name mentioned. "He was pissed off that you get married that day. The next day, he didn't come to work for three days. Three whole days. What is so good about you?"

Camellia didn't react to her pouting. Don't even dare to crack a smile to her face. Wan Chun was right. Erika will surely mad and try to stop the wedding ceremony. But, what can he do now that she married to a stranger? She was hoping for a miracle or something to stop the ceremony. Sadly, that didn't happen at all. Erika was a good companion to her and always been good to her despite his quiet personality.

She feels at ease whenever she with him. Maybe she admires his extraordinary taste of fashion that always brings surprises to her whenever she asks him for more design for the sake of the customers although not all customer can gain his favour to get whatever they want. Though sometimes, Erika was not easy to be pleased. She knew she needs to head there to explain her sudden marriage to him but she not in the mood to do that right now.

"Can you help me to take these dresses sample for the bride in his boutique?"

"You didn't even listen to me, hmmph. My heart can't stand it," Wan Chun continued to pout. "Who wants a workaholic woman? You're lucky. You get to marry some hot looking man."

"Alright, that's enough. I heard you the first time. No need to add more insult to my character." Camellia slammed the files onto the table in annoyance. "What's wrong with working hard? I love to work. Besides, we're talking about money here. More business, more money right." She knew Wan Chun has a thing with Erika but at what extent is their relationship, she'll never guess.

Camellia only gets to know Erika after the first six months operational of the business, Erika joined their company as a business partner. Sakuragi Erika. He was such a quiet person. The first time she heard that name, she was expecting a woman showed up on the door to join into their meeting that day.

She even mistaking him as Wan Chun's boyfriend that day which pissed him off as hell. Wan Chun not even helping at all. She was sitting there laughing to tears. That was the first time she witnessed Chun being so unladylike. It took her half an hour to calm herself down before they proceed with the meeting.

"Yeah, right. The heiress of conglomerate hotel chains talking about a little penny."

*******

"Hey, It's time to clock out. NO more overtime for this week," Wan Chun approached her desk with a low and concerned tone. She heard some rumours from the staff that her beloved junior seemed to be staying overnight at her office for nearly a week this morning and she will have to drag her out of office herself if that lady doesn't stop working.

"Alright, I'll go home after this." Camellia didn't turn to her senpai at all. She concentrated on her works, avoiding further discussion with her. Wan Chun chuckled at her answer in irritation with a glare. The same answers she has been giving her when she left her junior yesterday and the days before.

"I see," Wan Chun decided to play along with her game. "How about I'll wait here, and we go home together after you finished your work, huh?"

"What?" This time Camellia shot up looking at her, surprised and afraid. "Why? Just go already. This is Friday night, after all. I will head home once I finished my work."

But Wan Chun already seated on the sofa folding her hands and legs in a bad mood looking away. Camellia's body slammed back to her high seat in defeat. Tears threaten to flow from the corner of her eyes.

"Am I not considered as your trusted friend?"

Camellia shut her eyes at her senpai's question. 'Yes you are.' but no words were expressed. She was afraid. Afraid to show her weakness to her senpai how fragile she is right now. When she knew her weakness, she might laugh at her.

"You can always convey your thoughts to me. I'll always be there for you."

A sudden noise from outside her office made her realised the presence of some staff still working extra hours for the Park's couple wedding ceremony in two more days. Camellia was waiting for any good news from the ground staff if they need anything from her team to prepare.

"Plus, even if you a wonder woman, you should consider your assistant and the other's welfare too. They can't work extra time for the whole week."

Camellia's open her eyes wide, realising her mistake grunting in guilt.

"You should know how the system works." 'Aye, they won't call it a day unless their boss left for the day.' The noises become more unbearably tolerated. "What happened?" Wan Chun stopped one of the passing staff.

"There's a gorgeous man with his expensive car just outside our premise's entrance. Everyone aware it was there since a few hours ago." Kim Ying Cho, the hairstyler explained. It was raining heavily outside with thunders and flashes of lightning. The sky darkens. It must be some guy waiting for his lover. What a bother. Camellia ignored the noises and started to tidy up her desk, getting ready to leave for the day. She was so exhausted since after the wedding a week ago. Her plan to stay behind in the office might be not the answer to her problem.

Where will she go after this? Her rented apartment that she had been shared with Carol is already gone. Carol went to terminate it and took the deposit for herself the day she got married to the stranger.

What just happened to her? Camellia might not mind any bit of it if her husband hasn't rushed out to where-only-he-knows-where before the formal family lunch and later dinner ended. She only knew everyone had been staring with sympathy, and even the servants were sneering at her. She had to look up looking proudly ignoring those spectators. That night she insisted on going home and waiting for her husband at home.

Only to find the meaning of those sneering and sympathy the next morning. All the online tabloids showed the whereabouts of her husband the whole night. She meant not to feel anything for this husband nor care about his affairs but the hurt felt real beyond reasons. Strange how this stranger can stir her feeling this much. It was the same familiar feeling that she once felt not long ago.

Grandmama once a proud woman had always brought her to the markets and always had some people sneering at them, and some followed them home only to cause more chaos to chase them out from the land believing grandmama is an evil shaman.

"Cha Mii, your husband is here." Wan Chun announced. The source of the commotion outside the premise finally solved.
