The next morning I woke up feeling more motivated than I ever had before. It was time to show these slime bosses who's the boss!
Today I'm definitely going to one-shot each and every one! I'm totally going on a killing spree today and earn enough money for my first companion!
Grinning ear-to-ear the whole time through breakfast I couldn't wait and wolfed it down without even realizing what I was eating. After finishing I almost ran towards the dungeon. On the way, I kept looking at all the other divers with my priest skill. It seemed like a good idea, that way I could probably find some of the more regular combinations.
The first thing I found out through this was that most rare combinations consisted of two level 10 classes. I noted down what I saw but since all of them seemed rather mundane I didn't give them to much thought.
Without realizing it, I was already standing in front of the dungeon. Grinning widely I grabbed my spear and stormed into the dungeon shouting "Leeeeroyyyy Jenkins!"
The next moment I found myself in a regular Dungeon room surrounded by 5 slimes. The grin on my face slipped and manly tears fell down my face.
FUUUCK! I TOTALLY RAISED THAT FLAG! Why did I have to do shit like this all the time?
Gritting my teeth and tightening the grip on my spear I prepared for the fight of my life. No way am I going to die to some fucked up slimes! I haven't even gotten my slave harem!
After a battle of epic proportions, in which I showed my masterfull spearmanship while dancing around the apostles of death I finally managed to down the last of the five overpowered monsters.
Thinking about how that fight had to at least last 10 hours, which in reality was only 15 minutes, I sat down on the floor and tried to regain my breath. While waiting for my breath to calm down I analyzed the fight.
In the end, I had to reluctantly agree that my epic dancing was nothing more than me stumbling over my own feet and the movement of the slimes was basically so slow they didn't even move more than 30 cm from their places.
No, the slimes were not extremely overpowered. They didn't even have an attack move! It was just that I was so bad at using my spear that the slimes could move their core out of the way before I even came close to it.
With that, I made a decision. I wouldn't try to kill as many slimes as I could. Rather I would use the slimes to hone my spearmanship and try to find a way to not let them know where exactly I wanted to attack.
I grabbed the five cores and something that looked like a small blob of slime, which must be the slime essence and made my way towards the next room.
The rest of the day I spent training and analyzing my spearmanship as well as the movement of the slime core. Because of that I only managed to kill another ten slimes but not only have my movements with the spear improved, I also found the reason why they always could move the core out of the way.
Have you ever read one of those stories where they talk about transferring killing instinct? Well, it seemed to be something like that. In the beginning, I always concentrated on watching the core closely while I made my move. Once I didn't do that, the core began to move so much later that I almost always at least scratched it!
Having found enlightenment on the way of the warrior I decided that for once I wouldn't do something stupid and ended my training for the day. It was already late afternoon after all. I grabbed the core of the last slime I killed and made my way back outside.
On the way back to the Dungeon Divers Guild I counted today's harvest. It wasn't as bad as yesterday. I got a total of 15 slime cores and a grand number of 5 slime essence. That would give me a grand total of 1 silver and 25 copper!
Not a bad harvest for a days work. No wonder Dungeon diving was seen as the best way to make money. Well, you had to put your life on the line and I don't think there were many people diving alone. Especially since there must be much stronger monsters then slimes.
I even gained another level in my three classes but no new skills. I'll probably only get a new skill at level 5 or even 10. That's something I'll find out once it happens I guess.
For the next four days, I did nothing else than fighting slimes. I fucking hate slimes, man. The fucking hobble and wobble, I can't see it anymore. Five fucking days! For five fucking days that's all I saw! Fucking slimes hobbling and wobbling around. Gaaaahhhhh!
There was a silver lining in it though. The longer I fought slimes the easier it got and the better I became with my spear. Not to mention the levels I gained, the money wasn't bad either. Especially since I only spent money on food for my time inside the dungeon. And the food sold by the roadside stalls was cheap and better than you'd imagine.
After killing slimes for so long I got 250 cores and 190 essences! That's a total of 31 silver and 50copper! Shit while that is a nice sum for 4 days work, it's nowhere near enough to buy a slave right? I guess it's back to the dungeon tomorrow. Maybe I can try the second floor and hopefully leave behind the fucking slimes.
I spent another 3 silver and 50 copper for seven more days at the Inn and went to my room after eating and bathing. It was time to check out my status and the skills I gained!

I got level 5 a few days ago and then stopped leveling. Probably because the slimes are just too weak to give more experience. Shit, I even forgot to change my classes because all I had in my head were hobbling and wobbling slimes!
It was one time! One fucking time alright! Fuck!
GRAAAHHHHH! FUCKING SYSTEM! I HATE YOU! YOU'RE A SLIME! YOUR WHOLE FAMILY IS A SLIME!
I just flipped the fucking table in front of me and went to bed.
Yep, I didn't read that. Nothing slimy was written in the skill descriptions. Didn't happen.
Good Night!
