After some time the days flew by and soon it was Christmas. Lockdown was still put in place but it was quiet on both sides. After these last 3 months of living with Kirito, we have gotten close and he kept hinting at my answer from previously. I had thought about it and it made me smile. Thinking about it gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling inside that I finally understood. Though my feelings for him are in the early stage I still feel it strongly after realizing how I felt. I decided today that I would make this Christmas special for him and finally give him my answer.
I finish by putting the ribbon on the small wrapped boxed gift I had made for him and walk down the stairs with it in my hands. I walk around the corner to see the beautifully lit Christmas tree that had some Christmas presents underneath it. I set mine in the corner and as I stand back up I hear Kirito walk in from behind me.
"Up this early? I see your excited for today."
I nervously smile at him and clear my throat.
"I uh, what's for breakfast?"
Not knowing how to respond to him I decided to evade and he chuckles.
"The butler already has it made let's go eat."

After breakfast, we move to the living room and have a good time talking while unwrapping the gifts that our friends had sent us, finally it came down to two presents left. One with my name and the other his that I made for him. Kirito hands me mine and I place it in my lap while he sits back down with his.
"That one is yours from me, I see that this one is from you?"
I nod and take a deep breath nervously.
"Open yours first Yuki then I'll open mine."
I look at him with curiosity. His smile was filled with tenderness but he seemed a bit nervous as well but I eventually agree.
I begin unwrapping it and pull open the top. My heart skips a beat when realizing what was inside and I smile. A stainless steel necklace chain that had a rose gold diamond was fitted in the middle. He must have remembered my acting from a couple of weeks ago when I said I liked rose gold or silver better.
(I didn't think he'd take it seriously but that's so nice of him to be so sweet like this and to remember something like that.)
"Kirito it's beautiful!"
He chuckles and takes it from me.
"Here let me put it on you."
I turn around and he loosely fastens it around my neck, I place my hand on the stone and smile warmly.
"Ok, my turn!"
I watch as he casually opens the gift as I bite my lower lip he takes the small sheet of paper and reads it in confusion. I inch closer without him realizing and blush for a moment knowing what I was about to do. He looks up at me and I plant a kiss on his lips.
I could tell he was blushing and shocked by the sudden kiss but he deepens it nonetheless.
When we finally pull away from each other he chuckles and holds up the sheet of paper with amusement.
"So my present is a sheet of paper with the word Yes, Lookup? and then a kiss?"
I blush right away and look away from his gaze with my cheeks puffed out.
"M-maybe...Why? didn't you like it?"
He chuckles again and pushes me down on the couch laying on top of me with his head on my chest. I looked down to see the back of his ears a bit pink.
"I loved it, Thank you."
I smile warmly and place my hand on his head.
(He's so cute when he's shy.)
I try to contain my laughter but he looks up to see me giggling.
"Are you laughing at me right now?"
I clear my throat and look away while speaking with sarcasm.
"Um, no way I would laugh at you."
Kirito inches closer and I stop talking after taking notice of him getting closer. For some reason, his demeanor changed and I began to feel the same way he looked as if our energy was connected to some level. He seemed flustered and bothered by something his face looked relaxed, his eyes are partly open and his lips apart as he inches closer to me.
Instead of the usual feelings of wanting to escape or move away, my body felt still as he slowly inched closer as if he was hesitant for some reason to be this close to me. I could feel his hot breath quicken against my skin and the hair on my body sticks up like electricity has rushed through me quickly making me feel weird sensations.
Just as he's about to do what I assume and kiss me his phone rings snapping us back into reality causing us but jump a little. He quickly moves away and I sit back up as he sighs and picks up the phone.
It was then that I had realized I needed to go to the bathroom to deal with my monthly flow, but my heartbeat was racing and I had felt short of breath which was normal for me. I place my hand over my chest and try to calm down as Kirito had walked off to talk.
(I just need to get something to drink and go lay down for a minute, I should get up now.)
As if my body was pounding along with my heart I decided to go get a glass of water, I could hear Kirito call for me in the kitchen but for some reason, he sounded a lot further away than what he really was. I take a few steps towards the kitchen and then lose conciseness.
(Kirito pov.)
"Yuki, Come here for a sec!"
I see her enter the kitchen while placing a hand on the wall trying to keep herself up and the other hand covering her face.
"Yuki, what's wrong?"
Just as I say that she starts to fall and I drop the phone as I catch her in my arms, I quickly call for the butler.
"Fang! damn it Fang get in here!"
He quickly rushes in out of breath from my urgent yelling and takes one glance before pulling out his phone to call the Dr.
"Master Kirito place her on the bed while I phone the family Dr."
I lay her down on her bed and check her for any strange markings.
(We haven't had anyone near us there is no way she's been poisoned or attacked right?)
After seeing nothing relevant I check her heartbeat and notice it was beating really fast, my thoughts went blank but the dr comes in quickly taking action by doing routine checks.
He chuckles as he looks at me after assessing everything.
"Young Master she will be fine, She has her period...She's anemic and has low blood sugar. She just needs to take a rest, take iron supplements and drink something sweet..."
My face went rigid and I about slapped myself.
(Girls and their bodies...Such frail beings it seems.)
I shake my head and sigh with relief.
(How is this dummy even alive...)
"It seems your girlfriend has stressful periods, Next time just make sure she takes a good rest and takes her medicine, She should be fine. When girls have heavy bleeding it can cause a lot of unbalances."
" I understand, Thank you Dr."
"I will take my leave now young master."
With that said, The Dr leaves, and I sigh in relief.
(This girl will undoubtedly give me a heart attack one of these days.)

(Yuki pov, 1 day before new year's banquet.)

After packing our bags and talking with Naiomi about the situation she helped us in a way I never thought she could. She showed up last minute with a bag packed for the travel there.
"I want to go with you guys."
Kirito and I looked at each other then back at her, I was first to speak.
"Naiomi this is very dangerous I don't-"
She cut me off with tears in her eyes and a crack in her voice as she speaks.
"Yo-You don't understand Yuki! Kana is holding on in the hospital so she can see her family again...I want to help make that happen after everything she's been through and...and with me being her partner I can't just get back and!-"
I give her a reassuring hug and stroke her hair.
"I do understand Naiomi...If you're truly ready for this then I can't stop you. I do have an extra invitation, We will fill you in on the plan when we get on the plane."
She smiles while wiping her tears, I turn to Kirito and he nods.
"Alright let's go "

We board the plane provided to us by Kirito's family and take off. Once we got in the air I started to explain the plan.
"Ok so here's the plan."
I lay out a map of the Castle like structure but really it was just a mansion and pointed to the ballroom area.
"Kana said that her family should be here if they aren't being forced to be servants at the banquet, our plan is simple. We have to rescue all members of the family without anyone suspecting us, we are given false identity with these invitations we are posing as vampires, and as humans, we do not have the scent of vampires, and our eyes are not like theirs at all. Kana provided us with pills that will cover our human scent and temporarily make us smell like vampires and eye contact to look like theirs. Try not to socialize with too many people and stay away from anyone you may recognize. This is a masquerade banquet so we will have masks to help keep our identity safe. Our mage seal you get when finding your partner will also have to be covered but I can do that with makeup. follow suit with what the vampires do and how they act. If anyone tries to get too close to you or if you feel threatened use a sign for either one of us to come to you, we all must be seeing distance away from each other try to stick close but also try to blend in. Remember that these identities we were given were of random. None of us is supposed to know each other. Also one more thing...If our plan fails save yourself and get out as quickly as possible we are in the enemy's territory, we are also at war and we can't risk a fight or we all will for sure die. If one of us is caught it is better to stay silent or say you're a spy...I know that sounds dumb but we can't risk the safety of Kana's family."
Naiomi nods and I hand out the identities, pills, and contacts.
"Alright we will be there in about 3 hours just a few hours before the banquet starts let's get ready and take your pills right now, they will last up for up to 10 hours but they need time to fully kick in."
