"Well, what do we have here?"
the familiar voice whispers in my ear and I look up to see Rode smirking. Kirito instantly draws flames to his hands.
"Let her go!"
Rode chuckles and he takes a step back with me revealing a dozen more vampires alongside him.
"I knew you smelled too good to be true, so who are you guys?"
He tightens his grip on my wrist and I wince in pain.
I see Naiomi motioning with her hand towards the ground and knew what she was doing and try to stall.
"It doesn't matter, let us go all we came here for was lowly servants. You don't need them anyway!"
Rode chuckles and bends his head down towards my neck, I could feel his hot breath and the hair on my body stands up. Kirito rushes in.
"You low-life vampire get your hands off of her!"
Without lifting a finger a wave of energy ripples off of Rode sending Kirito flying into Tobi.
"Your no match for me boy, Just stay down and watch the show."
I look back at Naiomi who nods and I bash my head into Rodes, He immediately throws me to the ground still holding onto my wrist, but I grab ahold of his wrist just as he tries to draw away I grab the dagger I had hidden on my thigh and stab into his chest with all of my might.
"Master Rode!"
His allies try to get close but Naiomi shoots thick vines up into the sky making a solid wall between them and Rode and I. Rode tightens his grip on my wrist and I try to push the dagger in further but to my surprise, he chuckles.
"Do you really think this is going to hurt me?"
Shocked I look up into his glowing eyes. He smiles and throws me against the vine wall with all his strength. The breath is quickly knocked out of me and I fall to the ground. Rode starts to walk towards me.
*Cough, cough*
"Yuki move!"
I take a much-needed breath and see Kirito behind Rode. I smirk.
"No, do it now!"
I hesitate for a moment but soon realizes his plan and Rode turns towards Kirito as he shoots flames at him, I quickly stand up using my ice magic at the same time. both of us on either side.
"Tobi get them out of here! Naiomi protect them!"
Naiomi glances at us before doing as we told them. Soon they runoff.
(This has to do something...)
I glance at Kirito and he nods. We quit and let the hard rock settle that was created around Rode from both of our magic combined.
"Kirito that won't hold for long let's go!"
He rushes over and grabs ahold of my hand dragging me along with him we run as fast as we could away from the scene. After a minute we could hear an explosion behind us but do not stop to look back.
"Yuki, we are almost there come on!"
*Huff Huff *
Breathing hard with sweat pouring from our bodies we finally make it back to the plane, we quickly get on and the pilot takes off.
(Rodes pov)
I finally break free and chuckle realizing they had escaped. Frustrated I blow up the wall and my allows looked relieved to see me.
"Lord Rode your injured let's go back now."
I stay silent and walk past them.
(That girl could use ice magic...She must be Kazuki's sister my father was talking about.)
"Interesting..."
A few drops of blood from my arm drips onto the ground as I walk back to the banquet.
(Yuki pov)
Once I dressed Kiritos wounds he pulls me into a hug. I wince in pain and he instantly let's go.
"Why didn't you tell me you were hurt!?"
I shrug.
"I'm ok I'm just bruised."
Kirito forces me into the room closing the door behind him.
"Ok prove it...Take off your dress and show me!"
I instantly blush and shake my head.
(Shameless man!!)
I curse him silently and he smirks.
"Now or ill do it for you..."
He starts to walk closer and I try to talk my way out of it.
"I'll have Naiomi look you don't have to-"
He cuts me off by smashing his lips to mine and throws his arm around my back unzipping it till it falls to the ground. I push him away instantly and pull it back up cursing at him.
"Shameless...Shameless man!"
I was at a loss for words but he chuckles at my reaction but speaks sincerely.
"Naiomi is tending to Kanas family. Now let me see."
I sigh and let go of my dress. I notice his slightly pink cheeks but he quickly goes back to normal when he sees the large bruise on my side from Rodes kick and scrapes on my arms and back.
He slowly and gently treats each wound. When he's finished I put a change of clothes on as he cleans up.
(I can't help but feel happy about this overall situation, we managed to save Kana's family and got out alive. But why do I keep thinking about the man who was talking to Rode...)

(Back home)
Soon we were back in our home country. Naiomi explained Kana's situation to her family and told them to keep quiet for now. They were to go into hiding until this all blows over. They agreed and told us how thankful they were. Tobi decided to go along with them to make sure they would be safe while Naiomi went home. Kirito and I decided to stop by the headmaster's place. Once he opened the door he was surprised to see us.
"What are you guys doing here? We are still in lockdown..."
Kirito speaks first.
"We have to tell you something may we come in?"
He hesitated but eventually moves away from the door and leads us to the living room. I decide to let Kirito tell him.
"We found out that Kana was the mole...But she had her reasons, Her family was being held captive."
The headmaster gasps.
"I wouldn't have ever thought she was the mole. But I guess it makes sense."
"I'm not done...We left the country 2 days ago and rescued them...We sent them to a safe house along with a servant werewolf we also rescued. They are all fine now but we found out new details while we were there."
The headmaster looks at us angrily.
"How dare you guys break regulations! do you realize how dangerous that was!!"
We both nod and look away from his gaze feeling a bit guilty.
"Anyway, the most important thing is you guys are safe. So what did you find out?"
Kirito continues.
"Their king is sick and his son is planning to annihilate everyone that isn't a vampire when his father dies and he's given the title of King. I feel this information is key to ending this war. Though there are missing facts we need to find out we believe this could help us."
Headmaster nods agreeing.
"This is indeed useful intel, I will pass it along. How is Kana doing?"
I sigh thinking about Kana.
"She is still in a coma. They don't know if she will ever wake up."
He sighs as well.
"Alright. You guys go home and get some rest. I'll let you know what the president says about the information."
We smirk and take our leave.
"Ok thank you, headmaster."
He gives us a small smile.

(A few days later.)
Once everything was settled we took it easy for the last couple of days, I decided to check up on Kana but there was no improvement. I had felt very down about it and decided to just binge watch tv. Kirito would casually come to check on me but I was zoned out
After a while, I hear a knock and go answer the door. I am overjoyed to see the fully pregnant Izumi.
"Izumi how are you! Come inside and sit while I make you some tea!"
She giggles and does just that.
Once I made the tea I sit down beside her and pour her some.
"Why did you come by? Is something wrong?"
I ask in concern but she shakes her head.
"I had you on my mind and wanted to visit. How are you?"
I stop hand her a cup of tea and place my hands in my lap.
"I'm ok...Just worried about a friend of mine right now."
(If there was something I could do to make Kana better I would have already done it before.)
The thought wanders in my mind and I sigh. Izumi places her hand on mine.
"Worrying will do no good. Try taking your mind off of it or else you will just be depressed every day. That is not healthy at all."
(What she says is true but...)
"Izumi I see what you mean but I feel as if there is something I could do to help. I just do not know what that is."
She takes my hand in hers and places my hand on her belly. I could feel kicking and it made my heart flutter. I smile and look up at her.
"That's so cool, I can't wait to meet them!"
Izumi giggles.
"Life is precious but we have no control over it. All we can do in moments like this is live on Yuki. It's ok to think about someone your worried about but do not let it consume you. Know in your heart that she will get better And if she doesn't just know that she's happy somewhere else."
Her words made me remember my family as well as Kana. I silently nod knowing she was right but still felt a bit sad.
"Thank you Izumi I appreciate you talking to me."
She shakes her head and sighs.
"It's not a problem, Just remember what I said. If you are having a hard time getting out of your head-"
She pokes my head mid-sentence.
"I am sure that Kirito would love to spend time with you."
I blush a little and turn my face away, Izumi laughs at my response.
"I can see he cares a lot about you. Kirito hardly ever shows his feelings around anyone so this is a rare moment if he does. Don't let the moment pass Yuki."
I smile back at her.
"Your right. Thank you, Izumi! Oh hey did you need to talk to him?"
She shakes her head.
"Nope, I came just to see you! Besides I'm sure if he saw me here he'd just-"
We hear Kirito's voice ring out from the other corner of the room and both look seeing him leaning up against the wall with his hands in his pockets.
"Izumi shouldn't you be on bed rest, Those babies of yours are going to be here any day..."
Izumi stands up and walks over to him whispering something to him.
"Your welcome by the way."
I see Kirito nod with a smirk and Izumi turns back towards me and waves.
"I should get going now before my husband starts worrying about me as well. I will see you guys later."
She walks out without another word and Kirito sits next to me.
"Do you want to play some board games?"
I nodded smiling at him.
"Ok ill go get them then."
