Those that familiar with Mikayla can detect there is a bit of change in Mikayla attitude but they just keep quiet about this. The new attitude is more lively than before and more open. He just tells others if he is dissatisfied with something.
Today, at the school, Zuri, Ginger, Jill, and Dew are dumbfounded seeing Mikayla. His unkempt hair, his shirt is untucked, and didn't even bother to button his coat. Where is the previous Mikayla? Is this what they call the rebellious stage?

Today is the first day of examination and the first subject is vampire language. All the student starts writing their answer. Mikayla answer the exam question for thirty minutes and stand up to get out of the class.
"Where are going Mr Blade?" said the teacher.
"Out," said Mikayla.
"The examination is still going on, sit at your place except if you want to go to the toilet," said the teacher.
Mikayla takes his exam paper and pass it to the teacher then get out of the class. The teacher is angry but when seeing Mikayla answer she just put the exam paper on the table and start marking.
Mikayla headed to the library and take a nap until supper.
"Mikayla, are going to leaves this continent?" asked Zuri.
"Nope. Why?" said Mikayla.
"The blue moon will appear next week. it will be quite dangerous for non-meat eater like you," said Ginger.
"Yeah, some of the human family will leave this continent for two weeks and comes back after the blue moon completely disappear," said Dew.
Mikayla has heard about this from his father but there was no plan to go somewhere else. Mara and the other servants didn't tell him anything. Blue moon is a second moon that appears every year in October for two weeks. That moon increases the magic power for the night creature and their hunger intensifies. It is a perfect time for hunting and to level up the magic power.
If the vampire hunt every full moon then in the blue moon every night creature will go hunting. It is a massive hunt and the whole continent is the hunting field. Magicians and selected civilians will be relocated to a safer place but for the others, they will become prey. There is no distinction between the servant or civilians. Those who stay in the city or village will be the prey.
"This is interesting," said Mikayla.
"Hmm, yes it is the best time in the year. I could hunt and eat as much I want," said Jill showing her fang.
"All of you can hunt outside?" asked Mikayla.
"Of course but it is because we will hunt in group with our family," said Ginger.
"It looks like some kind of family bonding for me," said Mikayla.
"Well, it is something like that. During this massive hunt, family will teach their children to hunt and passed down some tips," said Zuri.
"Won't the human extinct if you hunt all of them?" asked Mikayla.
"Nah! we import some from outside," said Ginger.
"Yeah! human supply from outside is different, probably because they come from a different land and eat different type of food," said Zuri and gulping. Dew also shows an interesting face. Both of them giggling together.
Mikayla just shakes his head seeing his friends, they are definitely excited with the upcoming hunt. They go to the class and to take another exam and the school is finished for the day.
Back at home, Mikayla put his school bag on the sofa and he called Jason.
"In school today, my friends and I talked about the blue moon. Any plannings for me?" asked Mikayla.
"Yes, we already discuss that you will join the hunt together as a family this year," said Jason.
"Are you sure? Who will be joining together? It can't be only my father and I?" asked Mikayla
"Family means the whole Blade family. You and Duke Blade will be joining them in the hunt next week," said Jason.
Mikayla is speechless and he goes to the study room. He opens the door and saw his father.
"Care to tell me anything?" said Mikayla.
"Oh! Mikayla, what's bring you here?" asked Alaric.
"Answer my question," said Mikayla.
Alaric wants to cry, he misses the obedient and cute Mikayla.
"About what?" asked Alaric.
"The hunt with the whole family," said Mikayla.
"About that, I was going to tell you at dinner tonight," said Alaric with a small smile on his face.
Mikayla slam the door and the things in the study shaking a bit. Alaric sigh and thinking he probably needing new door sooner or later. Mikayla keeps slamming the door when he is mad or dissatisfied with something. Shrugged his shoulder Alaric continue doing his work, at least Mikayla more expressive than before.
Mikayla goes to the twin's room, it is time for them to sleep. Mikayla arrival makes the room lively with laughter. When seeing the twins Mikayla has a bit struggle whether to pinch the twins or to pull their hair. He brushes all the thought away and put them to sleep.
In the castle, in the Land of Ancestor.
"Hecate making Mikayla to join the hunt this month is a bit rushing. He only healed from the effect of his spell," said Daniela.
"No, it is not rushing but it something he needed. He needs to learn how to use his magic power properly," said Hecate.
"Hecate is right because we are not familiar with his magic spell we almost lost him," said Spike.
"Daniela this is not the time to be soft-hearted. Those human are perfect practice target for him," said Elena.
Daniela knows that it is important for Mikayla to join the hunt but she can't bear for Mikayla to see those scene during the hunting. Can Mikayla handle it?
In a certain blood farm. There are a lot of human men and woman are separated. These human are the ones chosen for the hunt next week. Their eyes full of despair. Most of the servants is young or middle and healthy.
All of them are grouped for running training. The hunt next week is going to be boring if the prey did not give any resistance. So, running practice is being held so that the servants can hold longer during the hunt. Among the servants, there is few in their eyes filled with hope and practice with great vigour.
Far from the blood farm, there is a group of human under a basement.
"This hunt we will rescue as many as we can and transport them to the mermaid island before continue to the human continent."
A group of human is seeing a map on the table.
"Remember your hiding place during the hunt and use the magic stone to make yourself undetected."
"Those with magic power don't recklessly shows your power. We don't want you to be captured."
"Don't worry, the plan is perfect and as long there is no mistake happen then everything will be fine."
The others nod their head and shout "FOR SURVIVAL".
