Each race had their own level of prosperity, the humans we're currently gaining population at an alarming rate but that was to be expected. The dwarves were delving into the ways of there craft and the same could be said about the gnomes.
Their thirst for knowledge has caused the race to focus heavily on magic, they found ways to incorporate magic into almost all things whether from transportation to offense and defense. It was almost unnerving on how much they depended on magic.
The halflings we're my most active race, a small bunch they might be but they already explored all they could of their surrounding islands. This put a hold on their exploration, causing them to build cities and towns but now they put together a huge fleet to go beyond their knowledge and explore what they couldn't before.
Their main focus was the sea so they built massive navies to explore and settle their lands. Their use of magic also relied heavily on the sea, the magic they used was completely different from the one's humans use, each of my races had different magic systems.
Their magic was based on the sea, they used magic to make their explorations easier by being able to find what direction they sail in using their magic. They could guide the winds into their sails and calm the waters beneath their boats.
All in all they were developing well, the dwarves on the other hand had a set back. Because of the increase of monsters they were slowly pushed back from costal settlements until they could only survive in harsh terrains. The three close clans ended up being pushed apart.
One clan was forced to his within their mountain and build labyrinths to keep their enemies out. One clan learned to live on the peaks of mountains but this caused them to be limited in living space. To counteract this problem them developed magic that could keep the areas around their cities under control.
They even tamed huge flying creates whether from birds or other monsters to allow them to settle on other peaks. Their magic was heavily focused on control and air magic while the other clan was more of earth and flame magic.
The last clan broke apart into three other clans, they found shelter in deserts or jungles and become nomads, never settling in one place. Even though they broke apart they still kept contact, and every so often they would meet to trade or hold competitions. They treated magic was a curse, killing any dwarf that is proven to be able to use the arcane arts.
Bells world felt much more lively then my world, her world had two continent's, one was a bit bigger then the other and was perfect for her children while the other was a bit gloomy. Her children already roamed half of their continent naming it after their mother Bell.
Although they were small they made up for it in number, you'd barely spot a single fairy, their usually in groups of 10 or more. They used fae magic, it was hard to understand their type of magic. It had three main factors, emotion, age, and soul. If a fairy was more attuned to the flame element then they are much stronger in fire type spells, but would never be able to use water-type spells.
They could also use the elements adjacent to their type, so fire could use earth and light while water could use dark and air. It was cool to see all these different types of magic systems, I personally thought fae magic is stronger then the rest.
Her little champion was currently exploring the forest they named The forest of Origin, it's the forest where Bell gave birth to her children. They were desperately looking for the tree Bell gave birth to her children with, I like to call it the Fae tree as it evolved after these two hundred years.
It would take Bells champion some time to find the Fae tree as it created a separate [Domain] of the forest they were currently in. They'd have to find the connection point between the Fae Tree's realm and Bells Realm. But it was fine as fairies had long life spans, about 300 years so Bells first generation should be able to get their wish.
Bell set it up so that the souls of her dead children return to the Fae Tree, they get to play around and not have to worry about anything, and after enough time passes they have to option to rebirth or stay. She even had it so that the children she directly gave birth to can acaend and join her not as gods but like angels.
This made me think about my system for Lori-el and what happens after one of my races die? I didn't have a system for it and right now I don't know if that's a good thing letting a bunch of souls roam my world.
"I have an idea but it's gonna require both of our strength, you listening Bell?" James was looking around until he spotted the little fairy.
"What's your idea?" Bell appeared cautious as she gazed at James, her wings fluttering in an awkward way.
"Oh come on, my ideas aren't that bad!" With a look of hurt James held out his hand for Bell to stand on.
"Oh yeah, says the person who thought of only allowing people to gain experience only by killing the monsters that continuously get stronger as years goes by." Bell rested on the palm of James with a look of annoyance.
"Well this idea won't be so bad, I want to implement a certain something to collect the souls of the dead and reuse them."
"That totally doesn't sound like a mistake waiting to happen." Bell really wasn't sugar coating her words, she was being as blunt as she could be.
"Well actually I have two ideas for the souls, but being that one of them doesn't have all the requirements yet that only leave one option..." With a pause for dramatic effect a grin appeared on James face.
"I want to add dungeons!" James grin turned into a full blown smile as he finished his words.
