Chapter 16 - Worshiped

It didn't take too much time after getting my idea out there for Dom to show up, he was wearing a holding with a controller on it, some jeans and his hair was messy. He was a short guy, 5 feet exactly but he very chill and kind to others.

"Hey guys, sorry for the wait." He took a seat next to Sam and just laid back in his chair, he looked exhausted.

"Not a problem, we were just brain storming some ideas for The Realm and with James here we came up with a good base plan." Pat looked worried when he noticed Don's exhaustion.

"Well game launches in tonight so it's good that we got a base plan...." Yawning Dom just rested his head on the table.

After everyone made it a lot of brainstorming went on until the base plan was solid, after game launch they would each make a core that will achieve a greater effect once they merged their domains. After they would slowly cultivate their own worlds and do there best to create the races they wanted after I told them about only being able to choose human and humanoid races.

Back at my apartment, I let out a yawn after being able to relax after today's events. Even though we're friends we haven't really got together like then since high school so it was more than a little tense on my part.

Laying down in the Pod I couldn't help but think back to the form, that this world being real. As the time ticked down thoughts of actually losing what I put so much time into just because I played The Realm like any other game, I can't let that happen.

. . .

My [Domain] was slowly starting to grow, the reason for such was the fact that my core was close to breaking through, it would currently at tier 3 of the first rank, when it brakes through into the second rank the mana should increase by a lot.

Lori-el look empty, every continent had no intelligent civilization inhabiting them, only the islands in between the three smaller continents had activity, maybe I made too big of a world?

"Hey, James..." Bell appeared out of nowhere and she had the look of a child when they know they did something wrong.

"Hey, Bell." I didn't put to much mind to it as there was a commotion going on at Idarirth, the island the humans inhabit.

"James...there's something you should know...I took the liberty of choosing a champion for you while you were gone!" She spoke quickly when she reached the end of her sentence.

"You what?" I was annoyed but there was really no changing the past now.

"I'm so sorry!" She looked scared at my annoyance.

"Look, I won't do anything to you but don't do that again, from now on if it has something to do with me you have to get my permission." It was best to get this out now then later when she does something way worse.

"Also..." She stopped and it seemed like she didn't want to continue.

"What?" I just wanted to look at the humans but Bell was showing me down.

"Your champion has created a religion off you, your being worshiped by his followers!" Before I could ask questions she already returned to her [Domain] and stopped me from reaching her.

"...what!?..." That was not what I need right now!

How bad could it be, maybe it's just a small cult that will be forgotten as time goes on, hopefully.

"Shit!" I could feel a headache creeping in. My 'worshipers' wasn't a small little cult, no, it was a dang full-blown religion! The champion bell chose ended up worshiping me as the 'God of Fate' and he spread his religion to all he could.

Not only was he the leader of a dang rebellion he was also currently fighting with the royal family and the Kingdom of Gold. But the best part was the system Bell put in place for religions, as a sort of validation only the religions with a real God got 'blessings'.

Priest of my religion could use their 'blessings' to look into people's fate, when change it a bit.The more worshipers a 'true' religion got the more 'blessings became available.

The real question was how many years past while I was offline?

. . .

Aldwin sat in front of a long table with a bunch of other people sitting in other chairs. Before them a map of Inarith was spread out all along the table showing the borders and cities of The kingdom of Gold and The Flame Kingdom.

Twenty years ended up passing while I was off and in those twenty years a lot seemed to happen. First thing that caught my attention was the Flame Kingdon, ten years after Aldwin reached the Barbarian Lands he founded the kingdom with the Firemane Clan.

They laid low for a while and expanded their control to the whole Barbarian Lands forming the kingdom that stood before me now. After convincing the people of the Barbarian Lands the pro's of magic it slowly started to become well-received.

Now you can spot a mage tower in every city, hundreds of aspiring mages would visit the tower each day to apply for admission into their teaching system. Shila ended up becoming head mistress of the number one mage tower, The Tower of Fate, which resided in the capital of the Flame Kingdom.

Red went on to becoming ruler of the number one assassin organization tied closely to the ruling family. What I didn't expect was for the two to hook up, the two always bickered but now they raised two kids.

The tank of their group ended up dying somewhere, I guess not everyone gets a happy ending.

Aldwin had visibly aged, wrinkles started to appear and his hair started to turn white from age. But don't let his appearance fool you, he already touched upon what should have been out of mortals reach. He had already taken the first step to ascending to divinity.

"Maybe I can fix this little headache easier then I thought..." I did not want a religion about me, it seems cool and all but that was too much work for me to handle.

My religion was based on fate, this was something that definitely was good in mortal hands. It allowed them to temper with the very fate of mortals, either from improving or destroying the fates of others.

My plan was to remove this power, Bell made the system for religions and it allowed me to shut this feature off. This way they will forget about me and believe I don't exist. But I couldn't give my races another reason to suppress religions, maybe Aldwin wouldn't mind a religion about him?
