Feeling a tight grip around Ruby's waist, she had already closed her eyes for any shattered glass to impale her, but nothing seemed to hurt her. Ruby looked up and saw a bubble mana barrier surround both her and Ivy.
"You okay?" Ivy spoke quietly as she had her focus on the twenty or more rope being slung down. She felt Ruby nod her head as she released her grip around Ruby's waist.
Ivy's nose picked up a couple of new smell surrounding her bubble. She materialized her bloodstain sword, preparing herself. Ivy looked over to see Ruby suddenly having nine short swords floating behind her.
("Fascinating, maybe I'll ask how she does it,") Ivy said to herself before dropping the barrier and charging into the smoke. She used her sense of smell to find the ones who were closest.
Seeing Ivy run into the smoke, Ruby wanted to chase after her but waited. She could tell that Ivy had more or less increased senses than most people. Ruby flicked her wrist, and immediately the short swords impaled a man behind her before changing direction to another man, all the while, Ruby standing in the same place.
--------------------------------------------------
The king and his guard immediately entered the fray. The king summoned his claymore sword as he slammed the blade downwards, his momentum of force caused a large gust of wind to pierce the smoke and inevitably hitting Ivy.
The guards immediately surrounded Ruby and took positions to ensure that nobody was getting past them. The king was glad to see that his men were doing the right thing, but he had a feeling that someone disabled the barrier.
"I see you haven't changed old man," a husky voice sounded behind the king. He didn't need to turn around to already know who was behind him.
"Ah, Felix, you brat," the king smiled as he evaded Felix's backstab. "Still as slow as ever, haha! I'm glad that I saw through that pathetic facade."
Felix's body was interesting, it was buffed out with muscles and heavy armor but more lean, small yet noticeable muscles. He had the appearance of an assassin, gray hair with brown eyes, yet he wasn't the brightest assassin.
"You were always cautious of me, you old fart! You would never let me take her alone!" Felix yelled before feeling an indescribable pain below the waist.
"You shouldn't talk when fighting," the king said as he retracted his foot away from Felix's crotch. He watched as Felix fell to the ground before seeing him disappear. ("Not even able to withstand a kick, such a shame.")
--------------------------------------------------
Ivy finished up the two snipers that had different targets. She didn't kill them, just left them with traumatic brain injury. Ivy collected the two snipers' weapon as she may need use for them later in life.
She sensed a new presence behind and backflipped to avoid being stabbed. It Felix, as Omega already told her, he looked as if he was going to piss himself, yet he kept a surprisingly good composure.
"Never met someone with an aura that could be comparable to the king. What's your name?" Felix asked as he lowered his sai.
Ivy watched Felix before disappearing, then reappearing right in front of him and slammed the blunt side of her sword into his stomach, launching him back into the throne room.
"Could have been a home run if you launched him farther," Omega joked.
("Third base is good enough,") IVy countered before picking up the two unconscious bodies and teleported back into the throne room.
Ivy's senses came back to life as she could feel something bearing a large aura in the room. She wasn't affected by it, but she could see the guards and even some of the royals being affected.
Before Ivy could make sense of what was causing this, she heard Ruby scream as the guards started to attack her. She tried to dash over to Ruby, but something was holding her body down. She looked around to see four black chains emitting black-like flame holding her in place.
"Count William, he's behind all of this," Omega said. It analyzed the chains before disbursing them with an EMP (Electro-Magnetic Pulse) blast.
"What a smart AI you have, heheh, shame if you were to lose it," a dark, sinister voice echoed into Ivy's ear. She could feel a chill run down her spine as she moved away.
"Count William, may I asked what you are doing?" the king appeared behind Count William. Although they had around the same height, the king seems to dwarf the Count.
Ivy looked at the king's eyes before knowing what the king wanted her to do. She dashed over to Ruby and knocked the guards as they didn't have much protection around their neck. Ivy looked around before creating a bubble around her and Ruby. It was different from the azure blue from before. This time, it had a shamrock color as small mana particles, big enough to be seen by the naked eye, were healing Ruby's body.
Ivy kneeled beside Ruby as she watched her body slowly heal: ("How is she? Any major organ or deep cuts?")
"Nothing vital, everything is alright," Omega replied as it continued to focus on analyzing Ruby's body.
Ivy nodded before releasing a heavy breath. The hit that she took early seemed to start taking its effect as her breathing was getting a bit raged. Looking around her bubble, out of the twelve royals in the throne room, only three of them seem to be affected by Count William's aura.
--------------------------------------------------
Ruby's mind was sent to a foreign place, it was just a platform with her aura crest. It was weird since she didn't know what was going on. Especially as there was another her on the platform. Everything about the copy was the same except for the silver eyes glowing brightly.
"Who are you?" Ruby asked, but the copy didn't reply as its eyes started to shine brightly. Blinding Ruby and her jolting up from the hard floor.
She looked around to see Ivy battling Count Zulu. It looked like Ivy was struggling quite a bit, a few new scars appeared on Ivy's pale skin. Ruby summoned her blades before shooting them directly at Count Zulu, one impaling him in the calf.
Seeing the opening, Ivy took the chance and slammed the blunt side into his stomach and knocking him into the wall. Ivy panted as she was definitely not used to fighting such strong opponents. She looked over at Ruby before revealing a small smile.
Ruby smiled back before getting up and holding Ivy close; she could feel Ivy's heat before feeling the full weight of Ivy again.
"Thank you," Ruby whispered.
"I'm right fucking here," Omega appeared next to Ruby's shoulder.
