Chapter 40 - Portion 9: The Halles

Edmond Lattone's POV

I was driving to the Westfield Forum des Halles and it was the best thing that I could ever see. It has been great and all and I was in awe when I was parking the car in the garage under the mall.

"So, what do you want to get?" Lyana asked me as I was looking at her. She was smiling at me before she was chuckling at me.

"I know. It was amazing and I don't think that this will get any better. You have to wait until you're inside," Lyana said before she was out of the car. I was opening the door and I went to her side before she was pulling my hand into the mall.

"Come on," she said as Lyana was eager and she was smiling at me when I was walking through the door.

"Oh, My, God!" I said as I was turning around the mall and my mouth was hanging open before Lyana was closing them.

"Do not be such a tourist. You will have to close your mouth before any fly comes in," Lyana said as she was pulling me toward the store that has everything that I needed. It was a hypermarket of the mall.

"So, all the things that you need are here. Also, they are super cheap so you might get some discounts today. Oh, look! They have sales," Lyana said as I was following her. She was smiling and carefree right now that I was happy to be with her.

I told her that I need some food to restock and she was pulling the trolley before we were going aisle by aisle. If I don't know any better, we were like newlyweds that were shopping together for the first time.

"Do you want this?" Lyana asked me as she was holding a pineapple. I shook my head before she was grabbing some apples and grapes.

"I don't think the fruits will be gone soon enough," I said before Lyana was waving her hands dismissively.

"Edmond, you need to take care of your health. You will not know that it was a blessing that we have fruits in our lives. Imagine if we're back on the day during La Viva Resistance. It would be disastrous and we cannot even afford bread," she said as I was looking at her, smiling at her slip of using 'we,'

"I like it when you use us to indicate that we will be together even in the past," I said before Lyana was blushing.

"Well, generally speaking," she said before she was moving to the next aisle. We took some detergent and softener, some toilet papers, even though I don't need it, I usually use the bidet, then we move to the kitchen section.

I don't have any plates or cups and so Lyana chose it for me. I think it was wise to go shopping with a woman. They know what to buy and which one was the best. I was pushing the trolley like I was a good husband of Lyana.

And that thought put a smile on my face.

I was looking around when there were teenage boys that were checking out Lyana. She was bending to get something and I just noticed that her skirt was ridden a bit. I went to shield her from their view before I was glaring at them.

"Look, they have the best pillows and I bet that you don't sleep comfortably last night until you try this pillow," Lyana said before she turned and we were face to face. I can feel our hot breaths mingled and Lyana was looking into my eyes. Her blue eyes were dilating before she blinked and it was back to normal.

"Edmond, why are you so close to me?" She asked as I was smiling.

"I don't know. Maybe I wanted to feel your body heat and get close to you. It was a date after all," I whispered before I saw the teenagers were looking at us.

"Edmond, Iā€”"

"Shh, I don't think you want to talk when all I can think about was to kiss you," I whispered before I was leaning closer to her. She sighed before she was gripping my arm.

"Edmond,"

"Yes?"

"Kiss me," Lyana said before she was looking at me. Her pupils dilated and I smirked as I know that I have that effect on her.

"Gladly," I said before I was pulling her closer by the waist and I was kissing her lips. It was soft and warm as she was gripping my arm and she wounded her arm around my neck before I was pushing her to the rack. I was kissing her and in the corner of my eyes, I saw that the teenagers were gone.

Haha, suckers!

This stunning woman was my date and I think our date was going splendidly. I was happy to know that Lyana was kissing me back before I have to break the kiss. I don't want to be showing PDA when we're shopping right now.

"Woah," Lyana said before she was licking her lips and she was steadying herself while she was gripping my neck.

"That was something," she said as I was looking at her delicate face.

Her high cheekbones like a royalty.

Her aristocratic nose that commanded attention.

Her long lashes were batting against her cheeks.

"I know. And I cannot wait to feel it again," I said before I was being pushed by Lyana to give her some space.

"I think we should get going. I don't want to be stuck here with you kissing the shit out of me," she said as I was caressing her bottom lips with my thumb before I was kissing the thumb.

"Okay, but I will be waiting for you then, love,'' I said before we were out of the aisle and I was getting some shirts and jeans.

"You look good in this one, I swear," Lyana said as I was wearing skinny jeans. I don't feel manly in them as I turned to look at Lyana before she was snickering at me.

"Admit it, I look stupid," I said as I was putting my hand on my hips. Then, Lyana burst out loud as I was rolling my eyes at her.

"Lyana!"

"Sorry, but you just look like Madonna with that jeans on and I laugh because you're a man," she said before I was smirking at her.

"Hey, even if I was a man, I can do makeup better than you if I want to," I said before Lyana stopped laughing. She scowled.

"You wouldn't," she said before I smirked.

"Try me,"

"Okay, I'm sorry. You look horrible. Now can we just shopping again?" She said before I was changing into my pants and I was choosing some of the pants that I know and I loved to wear.

"Well, this should be all," I said as I was looking at the full trolley and Lyana was smirking at me.

"Wow, I never knew that you love to shop, Mr. Edmond," she commented before I was scoffing at her.

"Okay, most of this stuff were from your choice. I would be happy to eat with one plate and one glass of wine,'' I said before Lyana was staring at me in horror.

"What if you have guests that come over?"

"Then we have to just use plastic cups and plates," I said before Lyana was punching me.

"Ow! What was that for?"

"That's not funny and it was rude. I don't think your guests will be appreciative after their visit," she said as I was looking at her, stunned.

"And why would they be appreciative?"

"Because I invited them to hang out with us," she said before she was blushing after she realized what she was talking about. She cleared her throat before I was smiling at her.

"It seems that I was underestimating you then. I don't think that you want your friends to come to hang out with me as well," I whispered to her before we were putting out the stuff on the conveyer belt.

"Whatever," she mumbled.

"And I would be happy if you come and hang out with me then," I said before Lyana was smiling as we were pulling the stuff out of the trolley before I was gulping as I was looking at the total.
