Avery stayed in the castle staring out a window anxiously waiting for the battle to begin. Jesshira was also outside preparing his soldiers, they stayed vigilant keeping an eye on the grounds in the distance as night fell upon them. Silence draped over them like a blanket, leaving nothing but the occasional clanks of metal from the soldiers armor. It took some hours but at last the moment came and the silence broke as suddenly as the first attack struck.
The demons came charging through the frontline, brutally tearing away at the Dark Chimera's forces. They used their sharp claws like knifes piercing inside the vampire's chest, blood flowing throughout the battleground and clinging to their last breathes of air.
Leaving the frontline decimated, it was the last line of defense. Jesshira sees the tide turning against him and his army. He uses his last resort and turns the corpses on the battlefield into zombies rising them from the dead.
The zombies hold off the demons, but then with a sadistic grin Goliath enters the battleground
"So are you ready to die? I'll leave you dead and rotting. Your putrid race of creatures will be eradicated just like once before...Are you ready to taste the blood gushing from your mouth? For I will leave you an echo in history."
Goliath proclaims boldly as he enters the scene, his glare is met by Jesshira's piercing stare as the two men are about to fight each other once again.
A gravity sphere appears above Goliath, the unyielding force of a black hole rips him from his feet before he sprouts wings and flies into the sky. In return Jesshira was met with large stones raining from above, though he masterfully dodged each boulder as they smashed the ground around him.
The Dark Chimera put his hand down and began to rise up. Underneath his feet was an enormous scorpion that acted as his familiar. Jesshira stood on the very end of the scorpion's tail and catapulted himself into the air where he kept himself afloat with his own gravity manipulation. He shot through the sky like a speeding bullet, faster than his opponent's wings could carry him.
Goliath's eyes buldged in surprise as Jesshira collided with him in mid air and the two crashed to the ground sending debris flinging in all directions.
Both men immediately rolled to their feet and traded blows at a blurring speed. Each punch, each kick was blocked or dodged by the other. It was clear the two were evenly matched in hand to hand combat. Neither would be able to bring the other down at this rate so they both jumped back to gain some distance.
Jesshira began sprinting to the left to circle his opponent, he knew at all costs he must avoid being turned to stone.
Just as the Dark Chimera closed in on Goliath, Jesshira's scorpion started to rush in to attack Goliath while his attention was directed towards his opponent. Jesshira formed his soul blades and began to rapidly swinging them at Goliath which was deflected by another sword as long as his entire body. That giant sword just so happened to belong to Goliath himself. All the while the scorpion had made it right behind Goliath with the worst of intentions. It grabbed Goliath by his arms raised him up off of the ground, cocked back it's stinger and struck him through his stomach leaving Goliath in shock.
Goliath regains his thoughts and instinctively flew off the stinger. In an instant he drew a magic symbol in the air that lit up and let off an explosive ice blast at both Jesshira and his familiar. Goliath was very knowledgeable in the ways of magic circles and curses after all. The scorpion quickly burrows itself in the sand to evade the attack while Jesshira takes the full blast head on, falling to the ground in pain.
Meanwhile Avery decided he saw enough and desires to join the fray. He jumps from the window he was staring out of and was instantly surrounded by a large group of demons driven by their blood thirst for they thrive off of destruction and gore. They blocked off all means of escape while a big guy walks forth with a sword in hand. Avery's eyes dart this way and that, observing every detail of the situation.
"You're in the wrong place at the wrong time boy, now say your goodbyes!"
The large demon soldier pulled his arms above his head in preparation for a massive swing of his sword. The thing is that posture for that brief moment left the man wide open and it cost him everything. Avery stared violently at the man as a swarm of glass shards formed around him and turned into a deadly glass tornado. That of which brutally slashed through every vital point of not only the man in front of him, but also every single one of his accomplices. One by one the demons surrounding Avery dropped to the ground with a dull thud. Blood still spraying from their jugular, the entire scene was painted red.
The scent of demon blood enticed Avery, he barred his fangs unable to stop himself from licking every drop of blood that had fallen on him. The feeling left him fulfilled in the strangest way, as if a few drops of demon blood had given him a burst of energy. This was something he felt before, after he killed Atsuko her blood had given him power beyond his wildest dreams. It dawned on him that if just a few drops of demon blood made him this strong, what if he consumed as much as he wanted? There was a full buffet laying before him all for the taking after all.
Avery was overtaken with a powerful surge of what felt like pure electricity. His eyes turned red and a painful feeling at the top of his head had him crying out with a fierce scream. Two transparent horns sprouted from his forehead. After drinking the blood he turned into a demon, and he immediately felt the abilities within him grow to unimaginable depths. He heard a shout from the distance and ran to the scene where he found Jesshira on his knees before Goliath.
A burst of Flames mixed with glass shards consumed the entire area allowing him to come to the Dark Chimera's aid.
"Ahhh Avery boy, I see you're finally starting to take after your old man. You've finally become a demon, just like me."
Goliath spoke to his son with a smug grin on his face. He was villainous, yet some part of him seemed genuinely happy in that moment. He was proud to see his heir finally acceding his own twisted expectations.
Avery only spit in disgust as a reply to Goliath's words.
"So you're the demon lord's son as well as the son of a vampire guardian. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out."
The Dark Chimera mumbled just loud enough to reach Avery's ears.
"I say we work together to bring him down, I'll flank left you take his right."
"Sounds good to me."
With that said Avery and Jesshira bolted forth and split to either side of Goliath. This would be a tag team for the ages.
