"This has become more and more a disaster as the days go on. At any moment, even as we speak that filthy mongrel demon king could be taking the lives of our fellow vampires."
A tall man with long dark hair spoke, his eyes so dull they were almost black which contrasted against his pale skin. He looked dead, almost like a walking corpse yet still he possessed the strength far beyond that of a human. He was one of the 5 trusted generals that served directly under the vampire lord and his name is Lextat.
"I agree to a certain extent of course, though I also believe it's not our place to question lord Damien's orders. If he has gone as far as to accompany the demon girl and her friends to the forbidden hollow forest then surely he has a plan in place."
Viktor, another of the 5 vampire generals had replied to Lextat's comment. He had blonde hair and a more muscular build. Viktor was the opposite of Lexstat in almost every way, therefore they would frequently butt heads in nearly every conversation.
Rellik and Raven tend to stay out of their petty arguments despite whether or not their own opinions matched theirs. They knew that arguments with those buffoons was pointless. Meanwhile, Kravon was the type that was good swinging his fists around but not a whole lot was going on upstairs. He usually sat there grunting to himself and rarely joined in on conversation, though this time he had something to say which caused everyone to stop and look at him.
"Well you know what I think? I think we should just go back and beat those demons to a bloody pulp like we were planning to do all along!"
"Yes, well usually your drive to use your fists instead of your brain is quite annoying. Though, I have to say it's definitely strange to have changed plans so drastically this far in the game."
Lexstat closed his eyes and finished speaking his thoughts with a sigh.
"Perhaps there's more to it than we know about."
Viktor proposed while looking between Lexstat and Kravon. The statement caused a unintelligible grunt to come from Kravon and a turn of the head from Lextat.
"Well, the only thing we do know is that this idea to travel all the way to the Hollow Forest is getting more and more sketchy as we go."
Raven decided to contribute her thoughts on the matter, though the conversation was already over.
"With that girl suddenly having whatever problems she's having, now we can't even use her portals to lend the dark Chimera our aid. This was a long shot to begin with, but now it's become a grave mistake."
Rellik was speaking to Raven but also mostly to herself.
While the 5 vampire generals were in their own discussion, Damien was drawing some sort of magic circle over Cera's forehead. Evan had reluctantly agreed to let Damien help, he had no idea what the magic circle was going to do therefore he couldn't help but worry. Sadako was kneeling down studying the design that Damien was drawing and asking exactly how it works.
"Well, to be honest with a candidate that has started the reincarnation process I'd say it's ideal to let it happen naturally. Unfortunately, we don't have that kind of time right now so I'm drawing a 'recall' curse that will speed up the process of soaking in the memories of Zeus. But, that will come at a price since with the memories also floods of immense power will absorb into her body. That flood of power is supposed to be sustained gradually over this process, but the 'recall' curse here will speed it up, which will have a tremendous wear and tear on her. That's why I've added this 'heal' curse inside of the first curse. But, even that isn't enough since when it's all said and done, she will be healed physically, but the entire thing will wipe her energy completely out. That's why in the very center of the circle, I've also added an 'energy' curse. Like I said, it's not ideal but with the situation that we're in this is the best option we have."
"When you say 'curse' isn't that supposed to be a bad thing?"
"There are positive and negative curses, for example the three I added here are all positive curses. Meaning they add something to the subject, on the other hand a negative curse is something that takes away…like the curse I added on you and your friends that took away your powers."
"I understand…why do you draw it all together like that?"
"…Hmmm, the symbol uses magic that represents one specific thing, but in order to combine that with something else it has to connect like a circuit that works to power the entire symbol as one magic circle."
"That's interesting…I think I'd like to learn more about this at a later date if you wouldn't mind."
"Not at all, I'd be happy to teach you. I had many students in Vladd before the attack in fact."
"The attack that was led by my father you mean…"
An awkward wave of silence passed between them, Evan was wiping his forehead in relief. He had been watching the exchange from Sadako and Damien and became nervous that they might be maybe TOO good of a match for each other.
Sadako is the kind of person that constantly looks for new things to learn about, and Damien had an entire mastery of curses and apparently he also had a joy for teaching. This had led to Sadako's attention being solely taken by Damien for a while. Evan didn't want to admit it, but he was starting to feel jealous about it.
