I had trouble writing this one.....if its bad then I understand 😂😂😂😂....
---------------------
From the rather long walk from the gate to the large building in the distance, Juda was able to understand a number of things. No matter who it was, be boy or girl, grown or not, everyone seemed to not only stop and make way for Haruna but also fall under her spell, captivated by her beauty. Haruna herself didn't acknowledge them even a little however even when some people called out to her. Another thing Juda noticed was that as soon as people saw him, they would either frown or glare angrily, some people even shouting at him.
Juda didn't really mind the glares much but he didn't know the exact reason for their dislike and hatred of him. Of course it could only be that they either knew he was from the slums or that they were being dumb and were instead pissed off that he was walking near the girl they were all oogling. That was another thing he failed to understand.
While Haruna was indeed beautiful, probably one of the most beautfiul girls he had ever seen, it wasn't to the point of just stopping to stare. From the way these guys looked, one would think that they had never seen such a cute girl before which was highly unlikely as his dad said that the ratio from boys to girls was 1:2 with there being a much higher percentage of girls then males. Of course, why all the females were also oogling was anyone's guess besides they could be lesbian or just admired her grace and beauty.
"So, whats this family crest you were talking about earlier," Juda asked as he walked a bit faster until he was next to her. "Its the second test right?"
Haruna nodded without looking at him. "The crest only forms for those with substantial magical power so if you don't have enough then you can't enter into the school. Additionally, you'll be needing a crest for identification purposes if you wanna enter or leave the Academy and it also serves as a way to duel others."
"Duel others?" Juda asked as he gazed ahead at the approaching buildings. "I get the fact that the crest can be useful in identifying people but hows it good for dueling?"
Haruna was on the verge of answering when someone grabbed Juda's shoulder and yanked him backwards. "Hey Haruna, whose this?? I thought I told you not to hang around any guys anymore!! How many times do I have to tell you this??!!"
A tall muscular guy with ripped pants and a rather tight shirt obviously meant to show off his muscles pushed his way past Juda and stood next to Haruna who looked back at the guy with an emotionless expression. The guy had black hair and a piercing in his left ear along with acne littered across not only his face but also his neck. The young man wasn't exactly bad looking but he definitely wasn't winning any beauty contests.
"That isn't it Jakeem," Haruna said with a deadpan look. "I've been assigned to watch him as he's the new guy. He's from the slums so there's obviously nothing going on."
Jakeem sneered as he grabbed Harunas silver hair and yanked it upwards. There numerous shouts of protests from the onlookers but not one person stepped forward as Harunas face twisted in pain, her hair being yanked by Jakeem to the point where she had to stand on the tips of her toes. Jakeem didn't even seem to care that she was suffering, in fact it seemed he was enjoying it as he smiled down at Haruna with a sick twisted grin.
Juda, without any hesitation whatsoever, pulled his fist back and slammed his fist into Jakeems jaw with enough strength to shatter a regular persons bones. However, even using all of his pure physical strength, Jakeems face didnt move even a little which was rather surprising to Juda as he figured it would have at least caused him to stumble. Jakeem merely moved his eyes from Haruna's pained expression to look at Juda whose fist was still planted firmly on his jaw.
"I thought I was being kind by letting you off by ignoring you, you slum rat," Jakeem said as he let go of Haruna's hair. "I don't want to dirty my hands so go play somewhere else and I'll forget this ever happened. This isn't any of your business so kindly move your hand before I remove it for you."
Juda's eyes glowed in anger as retracted his hand. He could already tell that this guy was on a whole different level from the other two nobles he went up against. However, even knowing he would probably lose, he refused to back down.
"Haven't your parents ever taught you basic manners?" Juda asked with a sharp glare. "You should always treat women with respect whether they're weaker or stronger than you are. If you have anything you want to say then say it to me and if you just want to cause pain then I'll be happy to take you on."
Jakeem looked at Juda with a smirk before his body vanished and reappeared in front of Juda. "I'll take you up on your offer then." A fist slammed into Judas jaw so fast that he wasn't even clear what had hit him, sending him flying past the crowd and into the wall of a nearby house.
Severe pain became Juda's whole world as he struggled to remain conscious. To think that a single punch was enough to nearly knock him out, it showed just how much of a disparity there was in their strengths. Of course it didn't help that Juda's magic power was still too low. As a matter of fact, the only reason Juda hadn't passed out or broken any bones was due to him not only putting up a small barrier of magic while he had been talking to Jakeem but also because of the bag on his back cushioning the blow against the building.
"You done already?" Jakeem asked with a smile on his face. "I shouldn't have expected anything more from such a slum rat. Come on and fight some more...I thought you were take me on so I can spare the b*tch. I'm nowhere near satisfied yet!!"
Jakeem was about to step forward when Haruna grabbed his arm and attempted to pull him back. "Jakeem, you've already proven your point. If you go any further without ut being a proper duel then you'll run the risk of being expelled."
Jakeem looked towards her, his smile changing into a look of anger. He raised his hand and without holding back any ofnhis strength, he slammed his hand across her face, causing her to stumble backwards. "Get off me stupid b*tch. No ones gonna care what happens to an ugly rat from the slums. I bet I could even kill him and get off with only a warning. Besides.....this is the most fun I've had in a while. I needed a good practice dummy."
"Hey, moron," A rather soft voice said that was just loud enough to be heard over the now whispering crowd. "I thought I told you to treat her with respect. I'm not finished yet....or are you just tired?"
Jakeems face morphed into a cold smile as he turned away from Haruna to look over at Juda who was now struggling to rise to his feet. There was blood oozing from his mouth and his legs were wobbly making it clear that he was just barely managing to get off the ground.
Juda wasn't even sure HOW he managed to get to his feet. His jaw hurt worse then hell when he talked, he could barely see straight and his whole body felt like it wanted to shut down and call it a day.
Before coming into this school, he had grown a little too overconfident from beating the Fantasia, the cloaked man, and the two nobles to the point where he was just taking things in nonchalantly and feeling like he would do just fine here. However, this was a much needed wakeup call that told him exactly what to expect from this school for the next 4 years. To the school he was just trash and could be crushed at any time, his magic power and physcial strength were meaningless in front of true power. He was just another straw in the haystack, just like any other commoner and slum dweller that thought they could make it in the big leagues. He was just another piece of garbage.
However, even with him coming to this realization, Juda still refused to back down. He had been raised to stand up for what was right, like stopping the rapists before they could commit their act, and he would be damned if he was gonna let some deliquent wannabe take him without a fight. Even if all he did was manage to pop a pimple on Jakeems stupid face, then he would be satisfied. He stepped up to help Haruna and now he had to see it to the end.
"Come on Jakeem," Juda said with a taunting gesture of his hands. "Is that shirt cutting off your circulation or are you just dumb." He wasnt the best at taunting but he figured a dumbass like this loser would figure it out.
"I have an idea," Jakeem said as he smiled viciously. "If you can stay CONSCIOUS after the next series of attacks, I'll forget this ever happened and I'll even put in a good word to the principal so you can stay in the school. How does that sound?"
Juda just smiled and gestured for Jakeem to come over while giving a few nods. He could feel the bloodlust rolling off the tall youth in waves as he prepared to attack. Truthfully, Juda was feeling a whole bunch of things like pain, fear, anxiety, and wanted nothing more then to just run away. However, if all he had to do was remain conscious after the attacks then he would do just that.
"Here I come," Jakeem said before his body disappeared once again, a blast of dust the only indication he had even been there in the first place.
Juda didn't even have enough time ton prepare himself as he was slammed back against the wall by a blow to the chest. He wasn't sure what happened next after that, not the number of attacks nor the amount of time Jakeem spent beating the crap outta him. He only knew that he had to hold on to his consciousness as the pain kept on rising. He was probably being thrown around like a rag doll while Jakeem enjoyed every moment of it.
After a few minutes, the pain stopped rising but it was unclear to Juda, who was hardly able to breath due to the immense unbearable agony, whether it was because he had reached the maximum amount he could take or if Jakeem had stopped. His vision was red and he could hardly feel his body but he raised his arm anyways while still being unable to see.
"I'm still alive," Was all he managed to say before passing the hell out.
