Ae Rin found it impossible to make any excuses under his tense gaze. She could not say anything else so she decided to tackle the question and change the topic.
"What are you even saying? I m a COMPLETELY normal human! Anyways, there's more to catch up on than going on and on about some silly topic. So, what exactly happened back there? Who were those people?" She peered at him curiously.
"There you go again....when did I say that you weren't a normal human? You are giving me more hints that you aren't. Look, I may not be someone whom you can trust with...whatever your secret is, but, you are the reason why I was involved into this "drama" in the first place." Kyou didn't seem to back off at any cost.
Ae Rin sighed and her shoulders dropped as if to say that she gave up.
She looked at him with seriousness in her eyes and frowned. She opened her mouth to say, "It's best to show you."
"Wait, what?" Kyou looked confusedly at her as she prepared herself mentally and looked around the room.
Her eyes wandered off to a small piece of paper on the table.
She raised her hands and aimed it at the paper lying on the table.
Boof!
At an instant, the paper was on fire. Another sign, and the fire disappeared into thin air and there was the paper, all burnt up into ashes.
Then she proceeded to show her gravitational powers. Kyou watched as her feet lost touch of the ground and her body was high up in the air.
"See? Physics doesn't apply on me" She crossed her arms with a smirk and descended down to the ground.
Kyou eyes were wide open in shock and his jaw dropped. He was speechless. After all, who wouldn't be? It's not everyday that you see a person flying in the air.
He managed to make out some words, "Am I dreaming? Is this real?"
Ae Rin sighed and rolled her eyes. Her hand was aimed at Kyou and she raised it upwards.
Immediately, Kyou found himself in the midst of nothing but air.
As soon as he realised what had happened, he felt like his mind split into two halves and he screamed for his dear life, "Aaaaaaaaa!!!!!!"
"Shhh!! What are you doing!? What if someone heard you?! They might think I m torturing someone right now!" Ae Rin was alarmed at his behaviour and gently placed him down on the bed.
The impact made him gasping for breath. Ae Rin walked towards him and patted on his shoulder to 'comfort' him, "Come on, It was really not THAT bad."
" 'Not that bad'?! Who does that to a person without any warning?!" He glared at her.
"Anyways..." she continued as she took a chair and sat opposite to the bed, directly facing him, "It's not that I have just these powers. I have ALL sorts of psychic powers, even mind control or freezing anything. Everything comes with a price; now that you know my identity, you cannot go to your own house. We have to stay together because you might face many threats."
He was surprised at first but then nodded slowly as he realised he didn't have a choice in it.
" Seriously? Now I have to live with a girl all ALONE?!" Kyou thought to himself.
"No, you don't have to live with me 'alone'. My brother lives here too but he is on a trip at the moment." she smiled.
He was surprised by her sudden reply and was also reminded of her great range of abilities.
"You didn't say me how you got into all that trouble today. And who were those thugs?" She inquired.
"They didn't really attack me for robbing me or anything. When I reached the park, I saw them seated on a bench and as soon as their eyes fell on me, they were shouting and pointing at me 'that's him!'. And then, one of them ran up to me and punched me in the face and asked me where "Servia" was. I kept denying that I didn't know anyone with that name but they answered me by hitting me with a steel rod on my head. I don't remember anything after that.." He said while he leaned back and looked at the ceiling.
Ae Rin's face grew paler and paler each second and her eyes were wavering. She couldn't stop shaking, "No way...it's them!"
