"It's who? I don't get it....." Kyou frowned.
Instead of replying to him, she grasped his arm tightly and looked at him in the eye with a frightened yet angry expression, "Look...whatever happens, DON'T dare to get out of this house for as long as I say! They might not be targeting you. They are searching for 'Servia' which...is me"
"WHAT!!?!!" he was shocked and perplexed at the same time.
"You see..." she continued, "They might have been keeping a close eye on us. They know everything about you; from your profile, social status and background to every movement you make in your daily life. We should be careful..."
"Wait, wait, wait! Hold it there. Will you stop saying things in riddles?! I don't get it at all! My head is painting just by listening to this..." he complained while massaging his temples with his fingers.
Ae Rin sighed, "Ok fine! I will make this as short as possible. Basically, there is an organisation called
"The Crew Of Death". The people who attacked you were also probably one of them. They are sort of like a cult but have great influence. They are the most dangerous and secretive organisation as far as I know. They worship the Demon of Calamity who is... let's say that he is in a deep slumber now. Their motives are to awaken him and rule over this world. The only way to awaken him is to perform a ritual which includes sacrificing someone in his bloodline..."
"Ok, so what does that have to do with you?" he scratched his head in confusion.
"You still don't get it, do you?" Ae Rin smiled sadly.
He pondered for a while longer before coming to a realisation. His eyes were wide open as if it was about to pop out, "D-don't say me that you are...!!"
"Yes, I m the daughter of that demon, Servia Aamon." she replied calmly.
"Does that mean you are a demon as well? And do you have another form?" he asked curiously.
Ae Rin was taken aback by his reaction. He didn't seem to be afraid of her at all, instead, he showed more interest into it. She knew he was different from the others. If anyone else had known about her truth, they would have been 100 miles away from her.
"I am a demon and I do have another form..but you wouldn't want to see it...." She looked down at the floor with contempt, feeling shameful to be a sinner's daughter.
He let out a soft laugh, "Hey...you don't have to feel bad about it. It's not like you actually killed anybody right? You are a kind person, as far as I know."
Her eyebrows shot upwards in surprise. She raised her head to meet his welcoming eyes. Instantly, she felt warmth enveloping her and her eyes lit up.
She smiled at him widely.
Kyou noticed her reaction and turned his head away instantly, a bit embarrassed by his sugar - sweet words.
"That's the first time I saw her really smiling and...that's because of me..?" the thought of her smiling like that made him slightly happy.
After they had their little moment, Ae Rin got right into business.
"Ahem...back to the topic." she said awkwardly.
He was shaken back from his thoughts.
"So, my brother is going to come back after some days. I m going to inform him about everything on the phone. When he returns back, we will discuss what will be our next move." She said.
"Is your brother a demon too...?" he asked.
"You are totally clueless, aren't you? If he was my REAL sibling, he would be the organisation's target rather than me! He is my step brother. It's, uh... complicated. And please, use your brain before asking a silly question!" She sighed.
Kyou glared at her in response, annoyed by her rude comments.
