Chapter 12 - 12 Rejuvenation Magic is Better Than Coffee!

Man, I needed a coffee. I could ask for a reboot from my System, but resetting also makes me woozy, since my reset body has to instantly absorb all the memories since my last save point. I was a little to worn out to even design a coffee in the VMD after that instant download on top of reset sickness.

"System," I called out. "Tell me there's a mental rejuvenation magic in that massive info dump we just got." If there wasn't, then Spagetti and his colleagues were dumber than rocks.

"Never fear, Father." A gentle sussuration of voices whispered in my head. "Here is the ability you want."

I felt something in me change. New knowledge appeared in my head like, well, magic. "Also, System, please create a new save point for me. In the future, we should automatically save when we apply new changes to me. If many changes are made in the same day, overwrite the last save point of the same day so that our save files don't get too numerous."

"Acknowledged, Father."

Remembering the new knowledge in my head (man, what a weird sensation), I realized that the magic was better than coffee. Rather than acting as a stimulant to increase my energy levels or prevent me from getting tired, it actually gave me the biological equivalent of a full night's sleep. It was a rejuvenation that worked on the molecular level.

Quickly using my new power, I realized the one problem with it. It didn't cure mental fatigue, though it did lessen it by removing the biological burden. While it didn't remove the need for sleep entirely, I now could go on for much longer without it.

Spagetti was still out cold, so I walked over and gave him a dose of rejuvenation as well. He stirred groggily and muttered something about trucks. A thought occurred to me while I waited for him to fully wake.

"System, have you been doing your daily backups as well? We did just get a nice info dump."

"Yes Father, don't worry. I've got my daily backups setup already. The Kraken biocomputer is only being interfaced with by me for the sake of security. However, I do feel that you should appoint a steward over it to keep watch and make sure nothing happens."

"Feel free to do that on my behalf. In fact I'll make it official."

I strode away from the recovering Spagetti and through the portal to my new world. I reached out and personally commanded the world's laws to change. Everyone in the world now knew that the world was called Heaven V1.0, that the System was a part of me and could speak with my voice, and that I was the final boss.

"Father, why didn't you have me make the changes? That's what you created me for! Do you not need me anymore?" A sad sussuration is quite the experience.

"Hush System," I said. "First of all, for an important, official announcement, it's better if I personally make the changes, as it would lend more credence to my decrees if they actually came from me. Secondly, the mental struggle against nothingness and chaos, and the domination of it to create is beneficial to exercise my mental strength. I need to keep my hand in it once in a while to stay sharp." Especially if there were world eaters that could destroy my world. I can't rule out the existence of a much scarier, real life Alduin, especially if there were multiple worlds out there.

I felt Spagetti's presence appear in my world. "Hey boss," he said, wandering up to me. "Wow, that law you put in place is pretty solid. It rivals the one on all created worlds that makes their creator be instantly recognizable as a god. Anyways, we need to get a move on with the Heroing. I took a peek at my world, and it's not looking good. There are enough demons that when the assault on humanity starts, the world will fall in a week."

I nodded, and started up the VMD once more, throwing Spagetti a mental link to watch what I was doing. We needed full diagnostics on these Hero blessings he offered.
