Edward exhaled in frustration. Another pail of question poured in his head. It seems like there will be more questions than answers in this ridiculous conversation. He looked at Conrad and was surprised to see a different look in his eyes. It's as if he now knows what is going on. He's a doctor after all. He just needs to trust the old man to do his thing.
"Hmm. I see. How often does she allow you to open that window?"
"Sometimes."
"Can you tell me more about Grey?" Conrad knows that this is a tricky and dangerous question but there is no other way of finding out how acquainted 'Grey' and this person in front of them. This is very important in uncovering the type of relationship they have and will be the basis for the treatment.
"…"
Another wave of silence swept the room. The young woman raised her head and looked straight at Conrad. Her gaze was piercing like a tigress on a hunt for a precious prey, carefully calculating every move.
"You're asking too much. What do I get in exchange of such valuable information?", she asked in an amused and arrogant tone. Her meek and innocent expression gone. Another shift in personality, so smooth and suave like a pro racer changing gears.
