MORNING came, the rays of sunlight shadowed inside her bedroom, as well as unto her face which awakened her. Selene, although had a sleep for a few hours, she was stayed up all night. Why? Because Reiji texted her almost endlessly.
She caught her phone. As she opened the inbox, lots of unread messages from Reiji shocked her to the max.
How come he also stayed all night long?
As Selene examined his texts, the last message almost wedged her attention.
'Goodnight, my dear. I have no one but you.'
Her heart beats momentarily to such an extent as she read the words 'I have no one but you.' Selene wanted to whack her head since it began to overcast such irrational ideas. His words terribly made her think too much.
Well, blame his impact to her. She's starting to change her feelings towards Reiji because of his actions. Who wouldn't be fell in love with the man whom passionately treasures you?
'Hello.' She finally tapped the keyboard of her phone and commenced a conversation. She hopefully wished he was already awakened by this time.
A minute passed before her phone beeped.
'Hi.'
She eccentrically grinned. D*mn that man for making her lose her mind.
'How are you?' Selene replied.
'I'm fine. How about you?'
'I got dark circles around my eyes. I haven't got enough sleep.'
Meanwhile, two minutes passed since she texted him. But then, she was worried when he didn't respond.
She was about to dial his number when her phone ringed, and Reiji's calling her.
"Hello?"
"Hey, I'm sorry it took me for a while before I called you.'
"It's alright…" she cleared up his conscience.
"Have you got any sleep? Should you rest?" he agitatedly asked.
"Not enough, but I could still manage. I'm just worried about my eye bags."
"Don't worry, you're still beautiful with or without flaws."
She heard some clicking of a mouse and tapping of a keyboard on the other line. An indication that he was at work. "You must have been busy."
"Should I stop this call?" Selene was worried if she's disturbing him that's why she immediately asked.
"No!" he retorted.
"But you're~"
"Don't end this call." Reiji authoritatively commanded. "I've been missing your voice since we were apart last night."
She literally blushed. Obviously, he's missing her. And d*mn her for not pondering it.
"We just met last night, Reiji. Is it possible for you to miss me that soon?"
"You're like a nightingale, Selene."
"Why do you say so?"
"Your voice always brought me in peace. I'm such a lucky man to have you."
Okay. Here comes his oh-so flowery declarations.
Could he stop being so sugary? 'Cause she's starting to restrain herself for spouting her true feelings towards him.
Don't fall for him, Selene. That's an order.
But she already did.
