"Well, looks like I'm right with my premonition…"
"Stop it, sis. It's not like that."
"It was like that. Don't deny it, Selene."
The contingency of being caught by their arrogant CEO doesn't matter to the two ladies sitting on their relaxing position beneath the tree. It was a wonderful and sunny-brightening day which Fumiko thought of an idea to go outside their building. Besides, the Katashi Publishing House has a place where they were able to see the beauty of nature. There's a mini park nearby the infrastructure.
Selene and Fumiko never minded the time they were spending while talking about things they're interested. They almost forgot their tasks to do for that day.
"You said to me earlier that Reiji's a gentleman right?"
Selene nodded to Fumiko's confirmation.
"Why won't you give him a chance?"
She bowed her head. An impulsive realization threatened her to speak, yet she doesn't want Fumiko to wait for her to reply. "He's my bestfriend, Fumiko."
"So what?" Fumiko said with conviction. "He's also a man, Selene."
"Yeah, but it's…" Selene stopped for a moment, fear occupied her. "It's complicated, Fumiko. I don't really know what should I feel."
Fumiko tapped her shoulder, gently. "Love is like a puzzle, Selene. Always remember that in order for something to be whole, you need to assemble its missing pieces."
Selene thought Fumiko's right. She was thankful to have her as her friend. There's someone she could talked to.
Then, Selene caught Fumiko starring at her, like Fumiko's thinking about something else.
"What?"
"I may be wondering, would you prefer Sir Ken instead?"
The sound of cold breeze was the only thing she can hear as she dropped her jaw. Selene couldn't possibly absorb what her friend just said.
"Fumiko, how did you~"
"Selene, the whole crew already knew that he had his eyes on you. Everybody assumed his strange moves was for you."
"But~"
"And speaking about Sir Ken, he found us."
Selene's heart jumped in nervousness. "He already did?"
Fumiko pointed at the direction where a figure of a man walking towards them. "Yeah, and looks like he's coming through here."
Before Selene could react, Ken was already behind her.
"Sir, we're sorry for~" she was about to say something when Ken blocked her.
"It's okay. I believe it's a great place to stay either." Ken gazed his eyes around the scenery. "I don't think I should forbid you for visiting this place."
Selene then wedged her tongue. Thanks to Fumiko for saving her from silence.
"So, is it okay Sir if I also join her?"
"Sure, her friend is also involved with my consideration. You can also visit this place unless she wanted to."
"Why are you doing this, Sir?" Selene retorted with a bit of hesitation since he's more authoritative than her. Besides, she's his employee.
"How many times should I tell you don't call me sir?"
"But~"
"As I've said last time, your special to me, Selene." Ken flashed his jaw-dropping smile. "I don't care if someone already owned your heart. I won't give up until you become mine."
Fumiko was stunned to witness their boss' confession. Selene couldn't believe what just happened. Fumiko just saw how their arrogant and hot-headed CEO declared his feelings to a lady like her, which was beneath of his high position.
Selene wanted the ground to eat her alive.
