Chapter 12 - Chapter 9

Ayana-

Each of us got out of are seats heading to the train doors. The man who directed us in the train showed up 5elling us to get off and watch our step. Each of got off our eyes widening at the sight in front of us.

We were literally in the middle of nowhere. The train was stationed in front of a gray house that was in the middle of a big field. As I looked around i could see their was nothing for miles.

We all had our bags in our hands as we walked to big gray house. We stopped just at the porch looking at the tall building, taking it in.

"Wow."

"Cool."

"Eh...I've seen bigger."

We all turned to look at Sarah with a seriously look. "What, I have seen bigger.", she said. I shook my head looking up again. The house was big to say and nice. There were big glass windows and you could see couches and chairs inside.

The front door opened and out stepped a man in a suit. He looked young-ish maybe in his thirties. He had slicked down brown hair and eyes just a shade darker.  He walked down the front steps toward us spreading his arms wide.

"Welcome to you safe house. My name is John and I am your mission advisor. For the rest of your mission if you have any questions please come to me and I'll help in any way I can. I am happy to be working with you all."

He seemed like a teacher who drank way too much coffee in the morning. We all stood their looking at him, waiting. After a few minutes he cleared his throat, "Um...please come in."

I struggled not to laugh, but couldn't help but smirk as we walked past him in the house. It smelled fresh as we walked in like it was just cleaned.

Right when you walked in their was a living room with a flat screen TV and couches around it. There was a dining table to the side and in the back you could see the big stainless steel kitchen.

"Rooms are upstairs, so go upstairs and unpack then come back down so we can discuss the mission." John walked past us heading to the kitchen.

Their were stairs leading up the house  and all of us went up following a hallway to a row of gray doors. They had numbers on them but they were all out of order: 1, 20, 56, 74, 22, 8.

While I was standing there everyone had already called dibs on their rooms. I walked to the end of the hallway to the last door #8. I opened and was surprised when the door squeaked creepily. I walked in to a big room that had a queen sized bed and white dresser with a mirror on top. Across the room their was an open closet. On the other side their was a bathroom with a glass shower.

I sighed pulling my suitcase on my bed unpacking. After a few minutes I had put most of my thing away. I don't bring many clothes unsure of the time I was spending here.

I opened my room door just someome across the hallway opened theirs too. Tristan stood in his doorway looking at me. I looked down the hallway seeing the other four already heading down the stairs. I ignored his eyes following behind them. I could hear his footsteps close behind.

She. We got down we all sat down in the living room looking awkwardly at each other. I couldn't stand it so I looked out the window seeing the sun shine down brightly on the grassy field. It must have been about twelve in the afternoon.

Just then a delicious smell came from to us. We watched as John came in with three boxes of pizza. We allstared waiting in anticipation. He turned to us smiling, "I brought pizza!"

We all got up in a trance heading toward the boxes. I had to admit it was bit early for pizza but I wasn't complaining neither was my stomach. When we all had plates we sat back in the living room eating quietly. I noticed Tristan sat on the other side of the couch I was on.

John sat in a chair by us. Waiting to we were all done.  "So before we start anything anything we need to pick a team leader." Everyone stopped eating to look at him.

"During this mission someone will have to take charger and make decisions if needed."

"And you won't do that," Sarah asked.

John shook his head, "That's not my job. I'm just and advisor. And as your advisor I think Ayana would be the best choice."

My eyes widened as everyone turned to look at me. "Why," I asked.

John smiled, "Well because you're the best fighter and even though you don't show it you are a quicking thinker. You are the best qualifified to lead."

Surprisingly everyone nodded at his words even Sarah. Despite my better better judgement I kinda agreed with them.

I sighed, "Fine I'll be your leader."

John smile widened somehow, "Great, now we are going on a trip."

"Where?", all of us asked.

"The place where the six teens first disappeared."

As we left the house John have us big winter coats with boots to put on. He said we were going somewhere cold.

Outside their was two trucks parked outside with two drivers already at the wheel. Lily, Alex, Sarah and Taylor got in the first one. Me, Ayana, and how in the second one.

John sat in the front while me and Ayana sar in the back. The whole ride she only looked out the window watching as the scenery changed drastically from spring to winter. We were nearing the White border it was always cold around here.

We stopped an hour later in a snowy forest, am the tree's were bare and snow all over like a blanket. I quickly put my coat jumping out the car. Everyone was out, looking at the forest before us.

"Okay this is the place where it happened, "John said.
