Chapter 6 - It's Not Elsie

As she was going over the last few details, something happened. Another ghost appeared, but it was indistinguishable from Elsie. Peyton got in front of me and we both prepared ourselves. I was trembling all over, I was terrified. My head was still killing me but I tried to deal with it. I didn't want to follow through with our plan until I had one major question answered. I turned to Elsie to ask her why the ghost was the same as her, but when I turned, what I saw horrified me. It wasn't Elsie.

I don't know what it was but just the thought of it sends shivers down my spine. I tried saying Peyton's name to get him to turn around but I couldn't speak. Peyton started asking me questions to make sure I was okay and prepared, I couldn't respond, I was in shock. When I didn't respond he turned around to see the exact thing I saw, whatever it was. It looked like some sort of monster, it's face seemed melted almost. I can't describe it.

Peyton turns back towards the other ghost, "Who are you?"

"I'm Elsie Nelson," she looked at us with that same look that makes you want to cry. She started telling us the story of how she died and how she can leave.

Peyton and I were both confused but I still couldn't talk. Peyton stared at her for a bit, then said, "But I thought we already met Elsie." At first, she looked really confused, but then her expression changed to pure terror.

"Oh no, oh no," she looked at us and opened her mouth to speak, but before she could get a word out the creature behind us jumped at her.

I finally snapped back and prepared myself to fight the ghost that we thought was Elsie. I started running towards the danger but Peyton grabbed my arm and asked me what I was doing, "I don't know, but that thing is not Elsie, and I have a feeling that we need to do something about, well, that." I pointed towards the ghost, which was now chasing the smaller one.

He let go of my arm and we followed through with our plan with a bit of a twist.
