In all my awkwardness I forgot my meeting with a certain, "Chicken Soup!"
", Wait I didn't say that out loud, Did I?..."
Bass laughed hard to hit the ground while barely being able to breathe...
"Chicken soup, You say...Hahaha, What's that?" "Doesn't matter, where is Lena?"
I even forgot that he doesn't know her, since it sometimes felt as if we knew eachchotherr since forever.
"Are you talking about the girl which accompanied you, before you beat me up?"
"Ah yeah, exactly!"
"She already left..."
"My poor chicken soup..."
"But she just left a moment ago Eri, if we run now, we might still make it!"
What does he mean by we? He gripped my arm and started to run while keeping on pushing me forward.
"Bass...." I heavily breathed cause I couldn't keep up with his pace at all "Bass I...know where she lives... You must run that fast, I can't keep up with you!"
"Ohhh! Sorry, I didn't mean to...I will keep it at your pace than" He smiled brightly at me and yet it kinda pissed me off, he's looking down on me, isn't he?! "Humpf!" Now it was me who ran off, I shall never lose to the likes of you!
In the end, we still ran all the way...
I took a step foward to ring the bell and Lena's grandma opened the Door. "So you still came...Wait who did u bring with you?" Lena appeared behind her and answered in my stead:" Her boyfriend, what else?", she stupidly grinned, like she knew everything about me...
"He's Not!"
"Yeah, yeah you can say that all you want but you give off this couple vibe."
I started blushing and I wasn't the only one who did so, Bass blushed too and it made me want to mess him up, how can somebody be so adorable!!!? I can only see him, nothing else is in my mind... Just him and THE CHICKEN SOUP!
To change the theme, I asked if they already started to eat the soup. And they answered that they hadn't but were about to, so they asked us in.
"I just expected Eri to come not a young man too, that surprised me!"
"Ahh sorry, I didn't mean to... But I heard it's chicken soup...?"He nervously looked around as if he was unwanted and should escape any second...
"The young man must like chicken soup very much huh?, just like our Eri, huh?"
"It's not like that! I mean, Eri is important to me but..."
I already knew about my chances being zero, but it still hurt a bit.
"I talked about liking chicken soup, not one another, pfft." She gently smiled, as expected of Lena's granny...
His head exploded this moment and we could feel the awkwardness in the room...
I am glad she served her famous chicken soup at the right time.
The soup is so DELICIOUS "Ahhh I am in heaven, granny" She gently smiled at me and said: "I am glad you like it Eri"
I glanced at Bass, What about him? And I was staring at him while having my mouth wide open.
"How come you already finished the bowl?!!!!" He looked up and in my direction. "I couldn't help it, it was too delicious, I shouldn't have laughed at you before because you suddenly screamed chicken soup...
" Oh god, why is he bringing that up? "Haha, I know right? This soup is just awesome." His eyes were sparkling and he rushed upon his feet, like that was a victory, pfft.
"Hey guys, we are also here..." Lenas Voice took me out of my daydreams and they got me back to a place called earth.
