When Itachi and Raiden reached the training ground, they started doing some light warm-up, waiting for Shisui to arrive.
A couple of minutes later Shisui flickered into the training ground and greeted them.
"So what happened to the Chuunin exams, Itachi why weren't you nominated?" Asked Shisui the question he wanted to ask the most since yesterday.
"He said that even if I was ready for the exam my teammates weren't. I protested to the Hokage, but nothing could be done."
"it's okay you're still only seven you can take it next year." Said Shisui, comforting an expressionless Itachi.
"It's okay, let's just train for now."
The rest of the week went by extremely quickly with both Itachi and Shisui leaving for missions before the week ended. Tomorrow was the day, the day he officially begins his life as a shinobi of Konoha.
'I should probably attend tomorrow and not send a clone as the Hokage will give a speech.' Thought Raiden while lying in bed.

The following morning, after having breakfast with his mother they both headed out towards the academy for his first day.
Aino looked at her son, now six years old. He looked like an eight-year-old with his build and height. He had violet hair reaching the nape of his neck and violet eyes.
His face looked very handsome for a child his age, he'll definitely grow up to be very handsome.
She suddenly stopped and looked at his back when he overtook her. 'Even though just yesterday you were that small and couldn't even walk. Now here you are going to the academy. I wish your father was here to see this. I'm sure your back will be one I can look up to, always protecting your loved ones' Thought Aino while tearing up.
Raiden looked behind him when he felt that he had overtaken his mother and saw her tears.
"Ah, what's wrong?" Asked Raiden a bit panicked at seeing his mother cry for the first time in three years.
"Nothing I was just a bit emotional about your first day." Said Aino with a smile on her face now.
After that, they continued onward towards the academy until reaching the gates.
At the gates, they were separated. Raiden went towards his class and Aino went towards the other parents.
Raiden looked around at the other kids and tried to see if there was someone that had actually trained before entering the academy.
Most of the kids were civilians who looked like they never trained before, and the ones that were trained were all clan kids as proved by the emblems on their clothes.
the kids sounded excited as they spoke to each other about how being a ninja is cool. Raiden realised that none of these kids was even close to his level and just closed his eyes and waited for the Hokage to come in.
Aino looked at Raiden from afar and smiled knowing he would do that.
A couple of minutes later the Hokage came in and stood at the podium in front of everyone.
"Future shinobi of Konoha, since this academy was established it has been producing shinobi that came from all sorts of backgrounds, clans, families. but they all had something in common. They were holders of the will of fire. this is what gives Konohagakure shinobi the strength to continue fighting against all odds, building willpower and strength of character. The will of fire was established by our founder, The First Hokage, Hashirama Senju, and has been passed to every generation since. It is what got us through three Great Ninja Wars, It is the basis of life in Konoha. I hope that all of you inherit the will of fire and become fine shinobi of the leaf...."
After talking about the will of fire for ten more minutes, the Hokage concluded and stepped down. while stepping down he gave a quick look to Raiden who had closed his eyes halfway through the speech and then left.
"Ok kids, now that Hokage-sama has left, follow me to your classroom." Said the teacher.
Twenty-five kids followed behind him as the parents also started leaving. While going towards the classroom, Raiden made a clone, sent it to the classroom and hid.
After they were all gone he went towards the academy library. There was nobody in the library as it held nothing but history books and E and D-rank Jutsu that were available in every village, and even those were just copies. All original copies of any Jutsu were kept in the Hokage estate, or so his mom told him.
He asked Itachi if someone was responsible for the library as he had used it a lot when he was in the academy to do the same as him, read about the history of the elemental nations. and Itachi told him that someone came to check up on it once a day after classes ended.
Raiden went inside and started his main purpose for coming to the academy. He started by finding books about the warring states period and read the oldest books available.
This was how Raiden started spending his mornings. He left the library every day before classes ended and went to train with Shisui. On the days Shisui was not there he trained with either Guy or Itachi.
A month into this routine, he found a book about chakra control and finally found out what the next step is in training his chakra. Waterfall walking.
So he added that to his training.
Today, Shisui was explaining his flicker technique to Raiden. "You know about nature transformation right? The Five Basic Natures are the five elemental chakra natures, which are the foundation of all elemental ninjutsu. They are so vital to the shinobi lifestyle that each of the Five Great Shinobi Countries is named after one of the five. Each element is naturally weaker than and stronger than another."
"Yeah, I already know all that."
"So I developed my wind nature by using my chakra to do what happens when you drive your chakra into a chakra induction paper. After being able to split a rock with only my wind chakra, I started to use it in the flicker technique until it became like this."
"Then doesn't that mean that by using different chakra natures you'd get different results?"
"Yes, but before you start training in the change of nature transformation, you'll have to master the change of chakra form."
"Shisui-san how long did it take you to modify this Jutsu?"
"I started working on it right after the war, so I guess three years maybe."
"This is gonna take forever." Raiden whined about training for the first time.
