Chapter 2 - CHAPTER zero

2 days Later, Wangkim Street

An expensive black Veyron stopped in front of a medicine shop which was half closed, but seeing a rich customer the shopkeeper hastily opened it again. The customer was a man in his thirties and was wearing harbour grey coloured business attire.

Inside the car

"Reo, I will be back in two minutes" Ken said. The charming 6 year old nodded his head as he heard the door close. Reo was left alone with his thoughts.

Korea was so different. Even though he could speak English he felt like a complete stranger here. He looked out of the window to still his mind. This street had a few traditional styled houses unlike skyscrapers which he was used to. The road was deserted. After 10 minutes of waiting, he decides to get out of the car and look for his father. Barely a day in Korea, he was feeling desperate to go back to Japan. This street gave him a peculiar feeling.

Inside the shop

The shopkeeper took his place behind the counter. It seemed that he had seen the man somewhere before.

"Can I get a pack of Aspirin?" the man says in a slight foreign Korean accent reaching for his wallet when his phone starts vibrating. He pays for the medicine and goes out of the shop. When he exits realization strikes the shopkeeper, he had seen him on the news broadcast. He was no other but the legend Kyong Ken.

"Sir, your meeting is going to start in 50 minutes. I have sent the compiled data to your e-mail. Please review it before the meeting." Ken's secretary says as he picks up the call. Just before he is about to reply he becomes terrified. The car was empty. REO WAS NOT IN THE CAR. His heart started to beat in his throat. "Cancel It. Find Reo. No Information Leak." He says and cuts the call before his secretary could even say a single letter. Reo didn't know Korean. It was his first time in the country. Where could he probably go?

Reo's POV

I begin searching for father. It was already evening. I wanted to go back to the hotel. I keep walking in the hope to find him. I find a signboard. I try to read the Korean text but the more I tried, the more confusing it got. Using my watch, I call my father but there is no signal. I now begin to search for a shop, where I could call my father.

A man in his late 20s was walking on the street. He was dressed in an old-fashioned casual round neck top and discoloured jeans. He knocks a rock lying on the road which hits the signboard saying "Songdo Street, 30 km to Seoul". He mumbles in frustration, "Why does it have to be me? I hadn't done anything wrong. I just told him that he was wrong."And as he rolls his eyes he finds a child innocently looking at him. The child was dressed in an attractive blue coloured suit.

A few seconds pass with Reo and the man starring at each other. The man then breaking the silence, says, "Stop looking at me like that". Hearing that, the child lowers his head and mumbles in a strange language. After a few seconds the man starts smiling smugly.

The man crouches down to the kid's level and asks politely in English, "Whath iz yor neme?".When the child doesn't answer he starts looking for something and his gaze falls on the child's bag tag. "Hanzo, izn't it?" The man says. "I am Evioso". Reo couldn't understand what the man just said but assumes that it could be the street's name. The man offers his hand in an assumption that Reo would shake it but he doesn't. Becoming friendly suddenly did not digest Reo, especially when his father had told him that Korea is not straight forward to strangers.
