Necropolis of Heart

Chapter 6

In McDonalds

Anna's PoV

I enter McD and look at my watch. It's only 1:30. It was my habit to be early by half an hour all the time. I look for a place to sit. I notice my favourite seat, the one in the corner with a window on the side is vacant. I guess I'm not that unfortunate even after all that happened.

I go there and take a seat. It was a place for to people to sit.

I take out my phone and start browsing for any books to read. Are you thinking that I'm the typical nerd that always has a book in hand to read? Well then you got me wrong. Actually partly wrong because I do really like to read. But I read on my phone. I like reading books of upcoming authors.

As I sat there reading my favourite story, I did not even notice how those 30 minutes went by. Yeah, I get that engrossed while reading.

I saw a figure approaching me. I looked up to see a gorgeous young woman, the same age as mine.

"Hey Belle." She said

"Come on Yuvi! Grow up. We both know who the beauty is over here." I say to my best friend, Yuvika as all eyes went to her.

Author's PoV

Anna noticed that all eyes went wide at the beauty in front of her as the others stared at her, but what she did not notice was that, the tens of eyes that were staring at her since she entered the restaurant were wider at that time. Yeah she beautiful. She deserved to be called Belle. She was even more beautiful that Yuvika.

With her perfectly toned body, heart shaped face with the tiniest bit of fat around the naturally pink cheeks, that gave her a cute look, an innocent but dead look in her large, black, round eyes, perfectly arched eyebrows, full, cherry like lips and the porcelain like skin with no signs of any flaw, could easily make any man, instantly fall for her. Even though, for some reason, she seemed to decline the fact, even after Yuvi telling her again and again.

They smiled at each other as Yuvika took a seat in front of her.

After the greetings, Yuvika asked her. "So, how's aunty?"

"Fine I guess. I hope. I really hope." Anna says, "She has a hole in her heart. That is what we knew. What we didn't know was that she had a brain tumour too. The doctor says she should be fine, although she will be in coma for 3 years at least. I worried about her." Anna says, on the verge of tears.

"She will be fine. She is a strong woman just like you are. She is YOUR mother after all." Yuvika's words were, like always, very kind and comforting to her.

Yuvika's PoV

I was shocked and very upset now, looking at my friend, who now looked so vulnerable. I have never seen her this vulnerable before. Seeing that she was on the verge of tears and needed MY help for once made me feel like I just had to help her. Earlier, she never used to tell me about her life problems when all I did was wind about my problems to her and she has spent years, consoling and comforting me. Making me feel safe. She did never tell me her problems because I let her tell me. I just kept rambling on and on about all the things that happened to me. For once. Just once, I want to be a good friend to her
