The car started moving and the windows were wound down as the couple thought she might feel more comfortable without the AC.
The warm summer breeze blew into the car as it left the orphanage. Her long hair was being blown around and she liked the feeling of the wind on her hair.
The road ahead seemed like a tunnel as it was covered with leaves which grew over each other from trees on the both sides of the road .
"Dear, have you ever been outside the orphanage before "
the man asked her.
"No " she said simply. They would be driving from the northern to the southern part of the city which would take about 1 hour 30 minutes .
City A was a really big city.
Shen Yue couldn't help but look at Xinyan she had waist length ink black hair with large dark blue eyes that were shining right now .
She had pure baby pink lips that were small and looked like they were always pouting. The girl was so beautiful.
After a while, they left the outskirts into the highway , she saw different types of cars and buses she saw billboards and tall sky scrapers.
Her eyes were shining as she looked from left to right . It was lunch time and she was getting dizzy from turning her head too much.
Her stomach let out a sound that she didn't pay attention to although her parents heard it .
"Are you hungry ?"
Both her parents said simultaneously. They looked into each others eyes and smiled at how much their thoughts were linked.
"Yes I'm hungry"she said. She felt awkward and her voice was tiny and she was shy. She didn't want to sound needy, she needed her parents to love her so she was going to try to be perfect in every single way she can.
"Alright then" the woman said politely. The car took a turn and now they were heading for a restaurant .
It didn't take ten minutes for them to reach the restaurant. They got down from the car and she looked around the parking lot . They were so many cars since it was lunch time . As they went into the restaurant, they took a seat by the window . A waiter came to ask for their order but Mu Yinan told him something and they were led to a room by a man that didn't look like a worker. He was wearing a suit unlike the other employees she saw . They got to the room which had an air conditioner and had 6 chairs around a table. The man left the room and then a waiter walked in with the menu. She was very excited about what kind of food would be served.
The food was placed on the table . And a shy smile appeared on her face . The food looked and smelt so good. It took a lot for her to not start eating immediately she saw it, she wanted a bite of everything.
Mu Yinan felt so bad and guilty . Shen Yue also felt the same way .
The waiter on the other hand looked at her with disdain. He wondered where the My family had gotten such a girl who hadn't seen the world.
Finally some real, well made food. Xinyan thought.
And they began eating and she ate very well, albeit, not as well mannered as a young lady should. She wasn't thinking about that though, she was hungry, it was way past lunch time but she was trying new food. Xinyan couldn't be happier.
Mu Yinan couldn't eat much . He felt so regretful .
