The woman in front of us sat on the branch of the tree and her minions started attacking us. She was only laughing evilly while she watched us fight with the enemies.
"Fem ev Uiynk… cuiy zr sxui." Dionne used an earth spell and while she was raising both of her hands, the rock floating above her hands started to double its size.
Klein was attacking the two beast-like machines so he would deal with the snake-like machines later. I thought Sai's hand was only made up of steel but he also had the ability to make any part of his body turn into steel. He turned both of his hands or feet into steel from time to time.
When the beast-like machines would come to him, he would punch them. Whenever they come back, Sai would tell Klein what to do. Klein would cut off four of the enemy's legs so they would defeat the machines quickly.
I thought this was a training! Why had it gone too serious!?
I shook my head from my thoughts. I closed my eyes and thought of a spell to use. I should be helping them, too. I was told that I am the main character in this last part of the book but now that I assess myself as a character, it seemed that I am more of the supporting character.
"Fyinbn zu ncu seqyuy… ne zicu zd kezyimup nayuxupp," I whispered to myself while I was thinking of what I wanted like having longer stamina for this battle so we won't easily get tired but when I thought of it, I suddenly stumbled on the ground.
This is tiring than I thought.
"Cevin," Dionne said my name. "Are you okay," she asked and I was surprised with what I saw. I saw some yellow light surrounding our bodies.
"What's that yellow light surrounding your bodies," I asked and Dionne's face looked puzzled.
"What light," she asked and because of what she said, I knew that I was the only one who could see it.
While Sai was attacking the enemy, I saw him smiling at me. "Didn't you notice that we were not even tired battling the enemies," he asked and they all looked at me.
"Cevin… your spell worked," Klein said enthusiastically while he was attacking the enemy and smiled. "It's like I have unlimited stamina," he added and even though I was tired, I smiled at them because little by little, I was starting to understand how my powers work.
I stood up and thought of thinking of making a new spell but I was surprised when I saw that the yellow light was slowly disappearing, like the duration of the spell only lasts for a specific time frame.
Yeah, of course... it's not permanent. It's just a boost. Typical RPG game characteristics.
"The light surrounding you guys are disappearing," I said and Sai replied.
"I think there's a time limit to every buff. If you can, why not think of other spell buffs to boost the team up," Sai suggested and I nodded. I realized that as the battle goes, the light will completely disappear.
"Fyibn zu ncu sequy… ne zicu zd kezyimup qancpnibm scdpakix mizifu," I whispered to myself while wishing for my comrades' defense to go up.
It made me tired again, though it didn't make me sit on the ground like the last time. I looked at all of them and just in time, the yellow light disappeared and my second spell worked. Now they seemed tired and they sat on the ground knowing that their defense is on high. Sai and Klein sat for a span of one minute. The enemies attempted to attack, but because of my spell, they weren't able to go near them. There was now a green light surrounding them.
"Thanks," Sai and Klein thanked me and rested before the spell completely disappeared.
Dionne also noticed that they had some bruises on their body because they had no protection a while ago so Dionne decided to sing. She stood up, then closed her eyes.
"A pabf ncap pebf vey reo (I sing this song for you)
Ne syufubn reo vyez coyn (To prevent you from hurt)
Oh, Polum, fahu zu sequy (Oh, Polum, give me power)
Nu pihu ncuz vyez ncu coyn (To save them from the hurt)"
Dionne sang the continuation of her song yesterday and when she sang, I noticed that Sai and Klein's bruises started to disappear little by little. When their bruises were completely healed, I looked at Dionne.
"Dionne! Throw your earth spell at the snake-looking beasts so they won't multiply," I suggested then Dionne stopped singing. She looked at the enemies and she raised both of her hands.
"Fem ev Uiynk… cuiy zr sxui," Dionne shouted and suddenly there was a meteor shower from the big boulder she made from her earth spell.
It fell on the bodies of the enemies and they all weren't able to multiply. The only machines left were the beast-looking machines but we were not attacking them just yet. The woman in front of us was surprised, but she still smiled at us evilly.
I closed both of my eyes. I will become more serious this time. The battle will end soon. Once the battle ends, we will be able to attack the main enemy in front of us.
But I know it won't be as easy as it seems.
