Jacob said weakly, "Good you're dead. An existence like you shouldn't exist."
"What happened inside?"
Miguel asked curiously, The ghost lich started to look paler. Pale in the sense that he appeared to be fading. Perhaps that move Jacob used was something much more strenuous, it must be noted that the apparition had only awoken a few hours ago. It could be accurate to say that after awakening, Jacob was at his weakest.
The stronger a ghost was, the more likely it would be possible to disturb the physical world. Ghost lich Jacob had proven that he ain't no weakling but his actions showed that his poltergeist effect took a toll on him.
"Find out yourself, okay!" The ghost even in a weakened condition didn't want to suffer alone.
"No ways, I don't want to experience what you did."
"Ah! W-what's that?" Lydia who arrived now shrieked at the pulp of flesh on the ground.
Lydia wasn't able to fully identify what was in front of the doorway, it was dark out at night. She was only able to make out it's presence because of the torch light emanating from the house, Cloud who came along also brightened the environment. Only a bit, though.
Lydia was a smart elf, she knew well that something had died. The closer she got to the Chosen Champion, the more reluctant her approach became. The sight in front of the doorway was not a thing a girl should be eyeing. She finally chose not to come any closer.
At the time, a figure from inside the living interior appeared at the doorway. This person too, was half naked. Wearing a top but no bottom. The difference this being showed, was that a hand covered the crotch area.
"There's no need to interfere with other girls when you have me."
The person at the door spoke, it was obvious that that figure had no clue about what went on outside.
Miguel was taken aback, He finally understood what went on inside the wooden house. That figure at the door was the elf he had seen enter with the two bandits, the problem was that the elf was not female.
Miguel cringed looking at the swamp elven man. He felt lucky to not have seen what Jacob did, he didn't want to know what the purple phantom saw.
"KYAAAH! N-N-NEGI, PUT SOME PANTS ON.!"
Lydia recognized the male figure at the doorway. Blocking her eyes with her hands, she yelled at the elf named Negi.
"P-Priestess!"
Negi knew the voice of Lydia from his home, following the trail from where the elf girl's voice came, he found the daughter of the swamp chief. He used his hands to gesture to the priestess, he wanted her to leave or hide or something.
Miguel, who went unnoticed, who stood at the side, by the doorway. Witnessing the elf revealing his manhood by removing his hand, Miguel felt disgusted. Remembering how Jacob reacted when he peaked in the house, he knew this guy before him was voluntarily doing mischief. Miguel swung his leg forward, kicking between the elf's legs.
Negi didn't know what hit him, more precisely, he didn't know how an extremely painful feeling rose from his balls. His eyes rolled back, hitting the ground hard, Negi fainted.
"Good, you should kill that bastard too!" Jacob let his thoughts be known.
"Hey, J. Are you going to collect these bodies as well?"
Miguel pointed at the dead beast man and the deformed body on the ground, He guessed that the ghost wanted them.
"Take this one. Leave that one."
Jacob pointed out. After the first experience, Miguel learned how store and draw from the 'Ring of the Dead. Understanding the nature of a lich, briefly. He knew Jacob would use them to raise an undead army. What the army is going to be used for, Miguel had no idea for the time being.
Miguel wasn't like the seventeen year old youth he had been previously, he was a man who remembered more lifetimes than one. Understanding the workings of the adult world, Miguel felt lucky to have met the ghost lich now than in the future where he could be a threatening enemy.
Jacob continued, " I'll be taking a little rest, I'll be back in no time and stronger than before."
The purple ghost spoke his piece then disappeared, he hadn't really gone anywhere. Actually, he was still in an aware state of mind, Jocob simply returned to his phyalactery.
Miguel went to the body of the dead beast kin. Raising the 'Ring of the Dead', Miguel stored the corpse. He ignored the mutilated body that the phantom left behind as well as the elven man on the ground. Miguel turned and glanced at Lydia who stood their with her mouth gaping, she was certainly shocked to find that Minerva's chosen inflicting unruly pain to a believer of the Goddess.
Miguel's glance upon the elf priestess was brief, he turned away from her and stepped into the wooden cottage.
Inside the shelter, the interior was vastly different from the way he had last seen it. The furniture inside had been rearranged, as well as, it had been aged. The only thing Miguel found to be the same, was the carpet at the center.
Miguel came over and kicked a pair of pants off the carpet. He didn't know who the clothing belonged to and didn't care, Miguel then crouched to hold the edge of the carpet. He flipped the carpet away from it's position.
There were things that Miguel left behind when he headed off to meet Trina. At the center of the single room house, a hidden space existed beneath the wooden floor. Miguel gently lifted the loose wood, he didn't want to forcefully reveal the hidden area if it wasn't already compromised.
It didn't take long to open that hidden compartment but it didn't give the result Miguel was looking for. That secret space was empty. Miguel lived here for six months, he couldn't fathom anyone knowing the wooden cottage's secret place.
Miguel did not get angry, he was just a little disappointed. Looking around the room, it seemed that the bandits had been living here for a while.
'That's impossible,' he thought.
Miguel went to a corner that caught his eye, a few weapons just lay there. Weapons cost money, he knew if he sold them he could recover his loss plus make a bonus. Whatever seemed valuable, Miguel would store it away in the 'Ring of the Dead'.
Finding nothing of value any longer, Miguel decided to leave. The next place to check was the carriage he passed earlier. Coming to the doorway again, a naked ass faced him. Miguel was not impressed seeing Negi. Miguel, without hesitation, kicked the poor elf in the nuts again. He then left the vicinity only to meet with Lydia who stood there motionless.
Lydia was shocked, she did not expect Minerva's chosen champion to kick Negi. Just like herself, Negi was devout follower of the Goddess of fertility. Lydia witnessed many times, serious prayers voiced by Negi. He always wanted to be on the righteous path but the result of the man's devotion turned out different from what she expected.
She saw the Champion come out of the house then she shivered, Miguel kicked Negi again. She new that Negi was inappropriately dressed, but was it really that bad for him to be kicked there? Lydia started to feel self conscious.
The swamp chief's daughter lowered her head. She stared at her breasts, inspecting the material that she used to cover them. Her bosom was certainly well covered. What about below her waist?
The material used to hide her sacred place, covered the privates well. Both the front and back were secure. However, she gulped when she realized that much her skin remained exposed. This was normal attire if you lived at the swamp. All the swamp elf woman dressed like this, Lydia never had to think about it before. But with the presence of Miguel, she was becoming more and more self aware.
"Are you daydreaming during the night?" Miguel asked, he called out to Lydia a few times without a response from her.
Lydia gasped, "Uh... Ah, Milord!"
"Are you okay?"
"I'm fine, I'm fine Milord."
"Are you sure?" Miguel asked again.
"I am... Ah, yes, Milord. My companions are locked in a cage, we need a key to free them." Lydia remembered the tree girls in the carriage.
"Okay, let's go. A key won't be necessary." He said.
Miguel lead the way and Lydia followed him back to where they found the carriage.
When they got there, Miguel was the first to enter. He startled the elven girls inside. They became fearful because it wasn't their priestess, Lydia.
It was quite dark in the carriage, nevertheless, the darkness is no obstacle to his eyes. Miguel aimed for the cage gate, using his strength, he broke the lock open. Miguel didn't say a thing, he scanned the rest of the carriage and stored anything he found to be of use. He turned and left the carriage when he was done.
Lydia was just about to climb into the carriage when Miguel jumped out.
"Ah!"
"I'm done." Miguel said.
"Um, ah... thank you Milord."
"Okay, don't disturb me. I'm going to take rest."
Lydia astonished, said, "Here!"
