Yu sighed as he walked on to the school grounds. When the school had ended Yu had gone home right away and spent most of the night thinking about Musical Sky. He'd never been against joining a band club he just never really had the time to visit one. He finally decided that he didn't have a reason to not join, so he decided to accept May's offer at lunch.
Suddenly the conversation of a nearby group of girls caught his attention. He moved closer so he could hear them properly.
"...Yeah. Someone heard a really good voice coming from Musical Sky's music room."
"Do you think they finally found a lead singer?"
"Probably, But who do you think it is?"
"The people that heard the singing said that they didn't recognize the voice."
"Some people tried to ask the manager, but she said that it wasn't official so that she couldn't tell anyone yet."
"So that means that they DO have a new lead singer!"
One of the girls caught sight of Yu and waved shyly. He smiled and waved back before he walked off to class. The mysterious singer was the talk of the whole school. Yu did his best to act interested, but really he just wanted them to stop asking questions since it sometimes felt they were questioning him.
A lot of people had guesses on who they thought the singer was. But nobody seemed to think it was Yu. He guessed that was because nobody at school had heard him before May. At the bell for lunch rang Yu walked towards the music room and quickly stepped inside before anyone noticed. As he walked in, he ran into Yoku, the silent boy who had told him he was good at the guitar.
Yo nodded to him and walked over to a shelf full of snacks. Yu walked over to May who was reading something, he realized it was the lyrics folder he showed her yesterday. She was reading one of the older songs that Yu had been writing.
When she saw Yu approaching she put the folder down and smiled. "It's good to see you Yu, so..." She leaned forward and rested her elbow on her knees. "Will you join Musical Sky?"
Yu stared at her for a second before sighing. "Sure, why not," he said as he shrugging.
Yu and May disused the detailed and decided that they'ed tell everybody who their new lead singer was at their first concert. Then they threatened Koamki that if he told anybody it was Yu they would take away his guitar. Komaki being over overprotective about his guitar, wisely kept quiet.
Finally, Yu met the last member of Musical Sky. The official practices were Tuesday and Friday, but the others were almost always there since it was the only place the could escape the other students. Yu learned that the last member was actually a rising singer at a popular music company called, "Musical Talent." Yu knew somebody who worked there so he visited. He didn't tell May though.
Yu was stretching on the stage as he waited for the last member to arrive. Komaki was sitting on a couch eating a bag of chips that Yoku had given him, and May was reading one of Yu's songs. Yoku, as usual, was sitting on the couch next Komaki staring at him. But Komaki didn't seem to notice.
Yu heard the sound of the door clicking open and somebody walked in. Yu hopped down from the stage and walked over to May who was still concentrating on the song lyrics in front of her and hadn't heard the door open. "May, I think someone just came in." He said as he sat down on the couch on the opposite side of Komaki and Yoku. May put the folder down and turned to the door.
