Just as I expected; there's not a single dull moment with these guys. I would have grown up with them if my father was not so paranoid about letting me be around boys. Though how that mattered at just six years old, I don't really know. But dad's considered the crazy one out of all the dragon kings, I mean when you think about it, they can't be wrong. He did build the war city and invented the war games, most people would consider that crazy, radical and insane.
Either way that did not matter to me at the moment, because right now, right here and now, something really awesome was taking place....I just wish I knew what. At first Mikey was only glowing softly, utter then the glow seemed to concentrated on top of his head, and a cute lion cub was formed. The lion seemed almost intangible, but I knew it had a physical form, I could see it after all. It's entire body was greyish white, and it had green spirals on it's sides back, and two mini spirals on the left and right side of it's throat, and then i was lucky to notice that on each of it's legs, under it's pads, more of those spirals could be seen.
The spirals looked more like speakers, but that can't right? I would have to run some more tests on the lion to find out what it's like. I moved forwards and got on the bridge that led to the elevated island, ignoring the still whispering Mike and Max. This place was creepy, and it definitely had a history we didn't know off, asked on all of the evidence I've found so far, this entire place was a mystery, and I really wanted to figure it out, and I knew these two idiots behind me would definitely lead me to an answer.
"I can't get anything out of the lion Cub, whatever happened here was so bad that before I contracted his soul, all he had left were grievances and anger against what had happened here. He was moving based on instinct, so basically we don't have any information about this place, so going into the mansion and checking it out seems to be the oyster choice we have." Mike said as he joined me on the bridge.
"or we could just go back you know, that's definitely safer and less creepy." Max said as he carefully got on top of the bridge, almost as if he expected it to fall apart in the very next moment.
I ignored him, and stretched forth my hands in grasping motion, using my limited telekinesis to push them forwards. It was a comical sight to be honest, but both Max and Mike weren't normal, they broke out of my hold in no time at all. They both looked like they were about to start whining again, but the strange looking Lion cub on Mike's head jumped off and made a beeline for the haunted mansion in front of us. We gave each other a look as we followed after our new companion.
Max ran forward as his hands began to glow, then he slammed it on the ground and a weird summoning circle, completely unlike normal ones came into being. The circle flashed a bit, and then out of it a black wolf with silver ram like horns came out of it. I was a little caught of guard, but then I remembered that Max was also a Summoner, he had the ability to call forth spirits from incorporeal dimensions; realms that did not have the same rules of nature and the natural order guiding them.
The wolf was about a meter tall, making it very large, quite bigger than normal wolves. The wolf only took a cursory glance at all of us, lingering a bit on his master's face, before running after the cub, moving at a speed none of us can ever hope to match. It caught up with the Lion cub, and they both went through the wide open doors of the manor.
On the other hand, we ran past dead ash covered trees and rocks before arriving at the entrance, completely covered head to toe in dust. We all stepped into the mansion, and was met with a scene from a disaster movie. The entire building wad scattered and in various forms of this disrepair, there were fired bloodstains on the ground and the smell of mold, dust and rotten wood was prevalent it became really hard to breathe, and then.
*BaaaM!*
I had no idea what had hit the three of us, but we were thrown so strongly off our feet and towards the left side of the mansion's foyer. What ever was left of their chairs and tables and decorations was ripped to shreds as the power behind the attack caused even more havoc than expected. Unlike Max and Mike I was human, well maybe a very super evolved human, but a human none the less.
I could feel bones cracking within my body as one of my ribs and my collar bone punctured my lungs in two different places. I didn't even want to mention my twisted ankles and awkwardly bent fingers, safe to say, I was very much messed up. Luckily for me, my smart helper glasses were still active, and the AI In them went right to work.
{Extensive internal and external damage has been detected, activating cell, tissue, bones and muscle repairing nanites. Deploying basic Genesis Exo-skeleton Armor....armor deployed, commencing on site treatment and rapid regeneration of users body, commencing in 3...2....1}
I felt my entire body covered by a soft armored shell, though it would be unwise to underestimate this armor. It's still a prototype I'm walking on, but it was strong enough to make you walk away from a shot gun blast with a three meter range, with only a couple of bruised or maybe crushed ribs depending on strong your body was. Either way I was safe for now, but whatever fight was coming, I'm totally out of it, it's all up to Max and Mike now, at least for the next ten minutes.
