Chapter 19 - Chapter 19 - A Date?

Days have passed into the rebuilding of the Majiked kingdom and Rhythian and I have worked hard to help in this process. Rhythian's job of collecting materials is going smoothly as they have managed to supply the town with months of supplies with the help of Rhythian's magic.

However, things haven't gone any smoother on my end of the job. Ever since I've met the so-called Legendary Warrior of the kingdom, I haven't had much focus on my job. This would be because he would follow me anywhere, bringing his crowd of fans behind him. I don't know what was his deal, but it was certainly irritating me...

Hours into the day, while I was working, Dylan approached and tried to talk to me yet again...in his way of introduction of course. He leaned against the wall and flexed his muscles as he flicked his hair backwards. Does he actually think that makes him cool?

"Hey beautiful rose..." He spoke out in a clearly changed voice. I cringed in the thought of him trying to actually make a move on me, while feeling anxious at the time because the girls in the crowd behind him shot fiery glares at me.

"Why don't we spend the day with me? The Legendary Warrior Dylan Wylde" He shot a wink at me which caused my spine to turn cold. I shot him with a glare as I carried the materials for the next job I was about to do. Despite his concussion, he is very persistent.

Dylan, ever since we met, have tried to get me to spend some time with him, a date he calls it. Time and time again, he would stop my job just to ask me out. I would either reject his offer or ignore it most of the time, but this today...I gave up and decided to ride along with it.

I dropped the materials I had and pat off the dirt that were on me. I rested my hand on my waist and looked at him once more. He was showing off his look while waiting for my answer. He managed to make me cringe once more, how does he manage to make a person cringe so many times within the hour? I let out a long sigh and spoke out.

"Alright Dylan...I'll spend the day with you-"

"I knew you would-" He interrupted.

"But! Only this time. So don't get the idea that I liked choosing to do this instead of helping..." I clarified things as he looked very excited to hear my answer.

He walked off in a jolly mood as he yelled out the time we were going to meet, Tomorrow, early in the morning. The fan girls seemed disappointed and started following Dylan, asking him multiple questions. I let out another deep sigh and went along with my day.

As the sun started to set behind the mountains, I lay flat on the bed in my room, stressed and tired from all the work I had to do and dealing with the town's "Dream boy". I yell rants into my pillow as I kicked the air.

A few knocks were heard from my door, and the sound of it opening after it. A pillow was still on my face so I didn't know who it was. The person sat on my bed, making a few sounds of metals sliding on each other. As I heard this, I grew a blush. The pillow that was covering my face was soon lifted up and as I looked, I saw Jessica waving at me.

Jessica has been in action ever since she was healed using magic, she was still suffering from internal damage though. She was able to manage the defenses of the Majiked Knights despite her absence. It looked like she went to check on me again...

"Can I ask what's wrong?" She asks as she puts aside the pillow she was carrying. I took another one and yelled it out. Jessica took the pillow again and had a smile on her face.

"I can't hear you, can you speak up a little bit?" She joked, cupping her ear as she leaned closer to me. I let out another sigh and finally opened up.

"Dylan asked me out on a date and I accepted..." I spoke out quietly. Jessica paused for a moment as she looked at me. Seconds later, she burst out into laughter.

"W-wait...Dylan? Dylan Wylde? The one who calls himself as the warrior of our kingdom?" She asks in between her laughs.

"Yes, that Dylan..." I respond sarcastically.

"Oh man, you are in for a treat...Good luck!" Jessica teases as she looked at me, wiping the tears from her eye.

"So, what are you going to do about it?" She added as she looked out the balcony window.

"I don't know...I guess I'll just have to deal with it just this once?" I answered as I lay back down on my bed, putting a pillow on my face. Jessica took the pillow and put it aside once more.

"That's a good choice. I have to warn you though, he is quite handy" Jessica noted as she stood up and walked out of my room with thumbs raised. I sat up with an irritated face as I looked at her walk out the door. I took a pillow and slammed it into my face as I lay back down on the bed, slowly drifting into sleep.

As the morning came, so did my "Date"... I walked down the busy streets of the town, wearing a tan crop top,a jacket, and my normal lower outfit which are my common pants and boots. Jessica also told me to clip one side of my hair to help with my outfit. Darn that Princess General...

Dylan was waiting by a fountain, sitting by a bench. He then turned to look at me. He stood up and waved to catch my attention. I let out a long sigh as we officially started the date.
