[Present: Mileena]
I listened to the entirety of the story...Until Rhythian started mumbling at the end. I let out a disappointed sigh. At least I know what happened now. I stood up and scratched my head. Rhythian still seemed curious about something however. So I asked again to see what's up.
"If you have something to say, just say it Rhythian..." I spoke in a sassy tone as I placed my hand on my hip and tilted my head a small bit to stretch my neck.
"..."
This was strange, Rhythian was quiet? This is strange...
"Hey, Uncle Tin can!" I say as I walked over to him and knocked on his helmet. After I did, a soft but invisible aura emitted from him and he soon looked up to me with a confused and obviously questioning expression.
Rhythian cleared his throat and looked at me. His confused expression soon transformed into a worried one. He took a deep breath before speaking.
"What happened? What do you remember that triggered the event?" He asks quietly as I looked at him.
I suppose it is my time to tell the story to Rhythian, seems fair after he told me his side. I sighed and looked at him before I explained everything that I saw in that dark and twisted world. I told him of how I saw my mother's memories, of what my mother has experienced when they were taken away from me. I also mentioned how...she communicated with me in that realm.
After the minutes of story telling, Rhythian seemed surprised while amazed at the same time. On the other hand, I felt...disturbed. I didn't know if it was the fact that Rhythian was right about my parents being alive or the memory of how my mother communicated with me. Something was disturbing me as I thought of why.
Rhythian was soon finished with his thinking and stood up. He looked like he remembered something. He walked towards me and pat me on the shoulder.
"Ready up, we are going on a rescue mission..." Rhythian says in a confident yet slightly quiet tone as he went upstairs. I, on the other hand was both ecstatic and afraid at the same time as I knew that one thing, I could get to see my parent again, on the other...I'm going back to where I was...kept.
I shook my head to erase those thoughts and memories and focused on the mission at hand. I huffed and went upstairs to get ready.
Hours have passed and the sun went under the horizon. The kingdom was gathered around the square. It seemed like there was a festival going on. I could see everything from where I was as I sat on a ledge of a roof. As I observed the people, I thought to myself on how happy humans are despite the fact that demi-humans are suffering beneath their feet. I clenched my fist as that thought ran on my mind for what felt like minutes.
A loud ping was heard as I knew what it was. It was an instant message spell specifically for far-range communications. Rhythian really knows how to prepare for this kind of scenarios, makes me think that he has went through this before.
"Alright draconian, you know the plan"
"I got it, don't worry"
I replied calmly as I went through the plan in my head once more. I were to cause a distraction and catch the guard's attention to me and stall as long as possible. Rhythian on the other hand would use a teleportation spell to get the demi-humans out of there as fast as possible.
I took a deep breath as I was slowly getting nervous. I looked into the crowd and saw the execution starting. The humans gathered around half-dragons who were on huge poles. An announcer started to introduce the execution as he stated the so-called "charges" held against my kin. I grit my teeth to hold in my anger and went into a crouching position and equipped my bow. I aimed carefully and nocked an arrow in. I held my breath and took a shot. The arrow hit the floor board right underneath the announcer.
The man seemed startled and I couldn't help but giggle a little. The man stumbled backwards and looked around. He then pointed to my direction and guards were sprinting with weapons high. The plan was in motion and I messaged Rhythian to start the spell. I then ran on the roofs to escape the guards.
Over half an hour has passed and I managed to get the guards lost in the forest. I sat on a huge branch of a tree to catch my breath. I took deep breaths to slowly stabilize my breathing. I looked around to see if the guards were still there. When I looked, it seemed like they were retreating as the lights from their lanterns slowly faded away into darkness.
I leaned against the body of the tree and tried to contact Rhythian to check in as to what happened with the demi-humans. As I did, nothing came up. I tried again...and again...all leading to the same result. I was starting to get worried so I decided to go around and check for him.
I went to the spot where Rhythian said the Demi-humans were supposed to be. The forest was very dark at the time so I couldn't see well. I waited for the moon to shine upon the fields and in my surprise, I saw Rhythian...captured!
The men beside Rhythian were not part of this kingdom however as they wore hoods on armor. Two people were in front of the magically bound Rhythian and I could only make out one sentence that made me deathly worried.
"Rhythian Yorthebius, we will be taking you into the Majiked Kingdom..." The men removed their hoods to reveal something that shocked me. Elves and Draconians? What are they doing here?
"Why am I bound exactly?" Rhythian replies as he looks around.
"Because I know how dangerous you are..." A woman stepped out of the shadows and I didn't know why but Rhythian seemed afraid.
"J-Jessica!?" He spoke out as the woman stood in front of Rhythian.
She chuckled slightly as she opened up a gateway and brought him through it. This whole situation seemed confusing to me, but one question certainly stuck around as I stayed frozen up on the tree with my jaw wide open.
Who is this Jessica?
