Finally after about thirty minutes of falling, standing, fear and hesitation, Lily and the strange woman finally made it to the outside storage room. Lily set her down to sit on the floor and sat next to her.
"So what's your name?". She stared at the woman, who was confused. "Hmmm I'm guessing you don't have one, or forgotten it..."
Lily pinched her chin and then smiled brightly lifting up her finger.
"I got it! I'll call you Damis!". The woman stared at her shocked at her sudden reaction.
"Hmmm your right it's to shady and I don't even know what it means... Hmmmm hold on a minute!". The little girl ran out of the store and shut the door behind her.
"Daddy!! Daddy!! dad!"
"Yes sugarcake!", he answered not moving his head and composing his fustration from the set denied employment applications.
"Daddy... what inspired you to call me Lily?".
His expression saddened and he let out a sigh and slowly turned to the little girl behind him.
"Your mother! she did, she inspired me to... She loved Lilies a lot!... the day I came to the hospital, I came with a bunch of lilies, and unfortunately when I heard the bad news, I was still holding the lilies, and then I set my eyes on you. You were as gentle, soft and pure like the lilies, so I names you Lily". He tapped her nose playfully and smiled.
The little girl thanked her dad and ran out. As she ran, he looked at her then looked at the locket on his neck. The memory of his late wife started to flow through his mind.
"Hey hey hey hey!!", Lily ran in panting while calling out to the lady.
"I know what your name will be!"...
"White!... no... that's too cheesy." She paused then added, "How about....", she opened her eyes and mouth. "CRYSTAL!".
She opened her eyes and stared at the woman like a child waiting for a treat. She thought the lady couldn't understand her, or was unable to talk but she till looked at her waiting for a reply through her expression.
"Crystal... ".
Her eyes opened wider and she gasped, "You can talk!!!!!". She was shock to hear her whisper the name Crystal.
She looked down and moved back a little, "Yes..."
Lily smiled and hopped continuously, shaking her hands in the air like she won a prize.
"And you were quite all THIS TIME!!!!", she yelled. The frightened woman moved back in quick speed, as Lily's movement gave her a big fright.
"Oh oh oh I'm sorry... sorry..", she said lowering her voice and gesturing to her to calm down.
The lady took a deep breath and looked down, still a bit nervous and scared.
"Phew... okay okay!", She fell on her knees and crawled in front of the lady, "Why we're you quiet all this time?"... Crystal replied with a weak low voice, "I was scared..."
"Well don't be okay?... by the way, do you like the name?", she tried to hold in her excitement.
"Yes ...", she mumbled and still looking down.
Lily jumped up and shouted, "Crystal it is!... Thank God! I thought it was gonna be like in the movies when I have to feed, change and train you, and you'll be like my Human doggy pet!... No offense though".
Crystal just rose her head up a little and looked down again. Lily again ran towards her, spooking Crystal and said out of excitement, "We're gonna be besties (Stands up and starts talking to herself), and we're gonna do what all besties do... what do besties do by the way?... nevermind we'll do our own thing and we'll---... Oh silly me!", she turns to Crystal, realizing she was talking to herself, and walks closer, "Don't worry I'll teach you everything you need to know okay?", she held Crystal's shoulders and kissed her cheek. Crystal stared at her shocked and asked in a low tone, "What's that?"...
"It's a peck, it a sign of love and care". Crystal still asked, "love???",
"Hehehe not like that, but like a sister because from now own your gonna be like my big sister... or besties whatever one goes. I always wanted one!", Lily hugged Crystal tight and said sighed out of relief. Crystal being unsure, slowly pit her hand over Lily's back and hugged her too.
"Thank you!", Crystal heard Lily whisper as she tighten her hug.
Lily then moved back quickly and gasped, "I almost forget, You have to meet daddy!".
"Who?...", before Crystal get a reply, Lily started to pull her hand, making Crystal quietly obey and follow her, as Lily added, "We'll go through the back and get you some good clean clothes... then you'll meet daddy, since you'll be staying with us from now on."
Crystal remained quiet, and followed the girl out of the store and to the back door.
Lily's father was still busy on a call in the living room, so he didn't notice when she entered, Lily gestured to Crystal to be quite and tip toe with her. They tip toed behind the sofa which Lily's dad was seated on, and into the bed room, without her dad, Andrew noticing.
"Here try this!", Lily yelled as she threw a flare top to Crystal, who was on the floor, struggling to pull up a jeans. Lily heard her groan and turned around. "hahahaha you wearing it the wrong side!, come on give it to me!". Crystal pulled out the jeans quietly and handed it to Lily, still looking down. "Here! this is how you wear it!", Lily adjusted the jeans to the right side and held it out to Crystal. " don't worry I'll help you, put your foot in". Crystal slowly took a step closer, and put her one leg on to the jeans. " Now the other", Lily added. Successfully, Crystal put her two legs into the jeans, and stared at Lily, waiting for the next instructions.
"Good! now pull up from the waist here!", Lily held the top of the jeans as Crystal slowly grabbed it. As Crystal was slowly pulling up the jeans successfully, Lily looked at her and laughed, "Hehehehe, is funny how my mum's under wear could fit you so perfectly". Lily turned back to her mum's box filled with her belongings, in such for another t-shirt.
About twenty minutes later, Lily had successfully dressed Crystal with a dark blue skinny jeans and a sky blue flare top.
"Look at you!", Lily yelled as she pulled Crystal in front of the mirror. Crystal looked at the mirror surprised at seeing her self. She wasn't surprised about her looks, but what was showing her looks. She moved closer and placed her hand on the mirror. "Is this me?"...
"Uh yep! and you look fabulous. What? never seen a mirror before?".
"M--i--rr--or", Crystal slowly pronounced as she kept her hand on there mirror. Lily noticed her curiosity and added, "It's use to show yourself or reflection".
Crystal locked her eyes on the mirror, then slowly looked at her dressing in the mirror. Lily saw she was very intrigued by the mirror, and didn't want to interrupt, so she stood there watching her.
The door then was pushed open!
