Crystal was too terrified to speak. Right between the open door and the wall, the same creature that attacked her, stood there on the wall, on both her her twisted arms and legs, with her head right side up, with a devious smile.
"see!!! she's-- she's-- looking at us!!", Crystal pulled the collar of Andrew's shirt, shaking and pointing at the wall.
"I don't see anything! calm down!!", he hugged her tightly, with her head above his shoulder looking straight at the door. She saw as the creature laughed and walked into the shadow of the door and disappear.
"Calm down!!! please!!", Andrew squeezed her tightly, actually cooling her down, and control her breathing.
Meanwhile....Crystal left Lily in the room, she was fast asleep. A smile grew on her face when she felt someone stroking her head and singing.
"Mummy?", she said with her eyes shut. The voice was very similar to the voice of her mother's, which she watched on videos of her. Lily slowly opened her eyes to see an average height woman with light dark skin and long straight brown hair. Her heart jumped with joy as she yelled.
"Mummy!!", she wrapped her arms around her mother's neck and hugged her tight.
"You came back!"
"Yes Lily... mummy is back...".
Her mother's name was Ruth. Ruth slowly put her hand into Lily's gown pocket and pulled out the charm bracelet. Lily slowly moved away from her mum, with a bright smile.
"Lily... I wasn't you to always wear this", she slipped the bracelet into Lily's hand, who kept smiling filled with happiness."Yes mummy".
"Come...", Ruth said in a low tone, walking towards the door.
After some minutes, Crystal was finally calm in Andrew's arms. "It's okay I'm here! It was just a bad dream", Andrew brushed her hair away from her face with his fingers."Let me get you something to drink". He then stood up and walked to the sink, to wash a cup and fill with water for Crystal to drink. Crystal knew what she saw was real, but didn't understand why Andrew couldn't see it. She immediately noticed the bed room door open. She kept her stare locked on the door. Slowly the kitchen door started to slowly close, but Andrew was too busy looking for the washing sponge her didn't notice. As Crystal stared at the bedroom, she saw the same figure which led her into the kitchen in the first place, walking out holding Lily. It stopped and turned it's head at Crystal the continued walking to the main door. But she couldn't see it's face, it was just the heavy thick dark cloth covering the face.
"No. No. No. No..Lily!!! Lily!!!!", Crystal crawled on her knees moving towards the door screaming on the top of her lungs. Before she could reach about two feet to the kitchen door, it slammed and locked itself. She continuously pulled the knob crying and screaming Lily's name.
"What what!! what happened!!", Andrew dropped what he was doing and ran to pulled Crystal up from the ground, trying to pull her away from the door. "Crystal stop!!", he successfully pulled her away.
"Lily!?!!!! They'll kill her!!!!!".
Andrew heard her loud and clear, then ran to the door, trying to pull it open, but it was useless, it was locked from outside. "The-- the.. back door!!", Crystal yelled pointing at the door behind them.
Andrew ran and continuously kept pulling, but it didn't open."Key! Key!! Key!!!", Crystal yelled, reminding Andrew he locked the back door. He ran like a mad man to the fridge and picked the key on top of it and ran back to the door.
Crystal looked through the window, seeing the being holding Lily, who was smiling and looking up at the dark being and walking closer to the ocean. "Lily!!!! Run!!!", Crystal slapped the window screaming. "Open!", Andrew yelled as he ran out of the door. Crystal jumped and followed him outside. Andrew looked at Lily's direction, but could only see her standing and lifting one hand up and smiling. 'She's alone... who would kill her???'. Crystal ignored him and kept running towards her.
Meanwhile to Lily, she was holding her mother's hand and they stopped few feet away from the waters."LILY!!!!!", Lily turned to see Crystal running towards her, then her father behind. She turned back and looked up at her mother who was smiling. Her mother slowly carried her index finger up to her lips and gestured to Lily to be quite. Lily nodded and smiled.
Crystal ran as fast as she could, but could see the creature holding Lily turn and look at her, then back to Lily. She screamed Lily's name again with tears running down her face. The creature moved closer to Lily and hugged her. They disappeared into dust. Crystal stopped and fell on her knees. She couldn't believe what she just saw and blinked her eyes repeatedly.
Andrew felt his heart skip a beat, as he just saw it daughter vanish into thin air. "Lily!", he shouted and fell on his knees. He saw Crystal beat the sand and broke into tears, "Noooo!!! Lily!!!", she screamed with all her might.
"Dad...???".
Crystal rose her head up, while Andrew froze after hearing Lily's voice call out his name. They both turned to the house and saw Lily standing by the door, with her Teddy bear in her hand.
"Lily!!", they bother shouted, getting up on their feet and ran to her. Crystal grabbed her and lifted her up in her arms and hugged her tight, at the same time shedding tears. Andrew stood behind trying to hold his tears in while panting, he then moved in and grabbed Lily and squeezed his in his arms.
"Dad... your squeezing me!". Andrew dropped her and wiped his tears and smiled. "I'm so glad your okay!"
"Uh.. Daddy why are you two crying?... and of course I'm okay".
Crystal subbed then squatted near Lily. "Are you sure? did he hurt you???".
"Who's he???... I was with mum!", she said with a bright smile on her face.
Crystal and Andrew exchanged looks. Andrew only saw her walking on the beach alone lifting one hand, and then disappeared, while Crystal saw an inhuman creature holding her the disappeared when it hugged her. Crystal couldn't understand noor explain what she saw, but was just happy Lily was safe.
"She's alseep now...", Andrew said walking up the Crystal at the dinning table, after setting Lily to sleep on the couch. Crystal nodded and looked down. Andrew cleared his throat and pulled out a seat next to her.
"Crystal... I know you don't talk much, but can you tell me what happened to you in the kitchen? and what you saw that was so terrifying you said it was going to hurt Lily?".
Crystal took in a deep breath and looked up at Andrew. She opened her mouth and tried to speak. "Uh... i--- Uh..."
"It's okay.. don't be scared, talk to me..."
"I... I saw someone... Or something...", tears started to drop from her eyes. "Yes yes... and?"
"I saw something strange... dark... evil (Sobbed), and definitely inhuman...". She drew her nose and wiped her tears.
"What?... um... Okay... explain when and how you saw it from the first time".
"You won't believe me", She squeezed her fingers. "I will...okay ... just tell me", he patted her back. She gulped in her saliva and took a deep breath.
