Knock. Knock.
"Yingxue, it's Aiyan and Mz. Tina," Aiyan's voice sounded behind the door.
"Come in."
Aiyan and a tall looking tan woman in a bob cut entered the room.
"You both are finally here!" Yingxue said happily. She got up from the couch in her changing robe and went to give the two a big hug.
"Of course, darlin', I would never miss dollying up Capital City's little star!" cried Mz. Tina.
"Then everyone has you to thank!" Yingxue grinned at her.
"Hey, don't forget me!" Aiyan chipped in. She was holding onto an outfit covered in black plastic.
"Of course not! What would I do without your beautiful designs everyday," Yingxue laughed.
"Heh. As long as you know. I have to alter the sleeves a bit to cover your bandages so you get makeup done first." Aiyan walked to the mannequin area and began setting up.
"My gawd, darlin', it must have surely hurt when you fell!" Mz. Tina prodded.
"It's fine. Nothing I can't handle. Aiyan can help hide it as well," she chuckled, shrugging off her wrist injury.
"If you say so. Come, come sit." She ushered her to the chair in front of the mirror.
Yingxue plopped down onto it and got ready to be beautified.
.....
BEEP.BEEP. Yingxue's phone buzzed. She scrolled through her twitter notifications while her hair was currently being done.
'Ice cream before performing? Why not! Can you guess which one is mine? (•⚗৺⚗•)' - @YingxueBunny. Below it was a picture of six hands holding onto ice cream cones in a circle.
"Heh," she chuckled. The replies she got from the tweet were entertaining. The ice cream flavor she had gotten was peppermint chocolate chip. But her fans mostly guessed something more sweet tasting like Aiyan's strawberry, Meimei's cookie dough, Rika's rocky road, Noah's blueberry burst or even Rouhe's cotton candy flavor.
'Our Yingxue is already too sweet. She doesn't need anymore sweetness. It's obviously mint choco chip. (≖ᴗ≖๑) ' – one fan commented. It had managed to obtain quite a number of hearts. While many others disagreed, they still ended up complimenting the nice comment regardless.
She did her best to give hearts to all the replies that got it correct. It wasn't difficult with the low count. 'Congrats to those for getting it right! ৲( ᵒ ૩ᵕ )৴♡*' she commented on her tweet.
BEEP. BEEP.
Aiyan's phone also buzzed. She looked to Yingxue from her clothes station. "They got it right?"
"Hardly," Yingxue giggled.
"Done!" Mz. Tina declared proudly from behind Yingxue.
Yingxue stood up and looked at herself. Her makeup was light and hardly noticeable, besides the baby pink lipstick, but it was made to complement her features effectively. Additionally, a few rhinestones were also fixed in a fluid pattern right beside her right eye. Her long hair had bright pink highlights attached and braided into her normal flowing hair along with some small cherry blossom flowers intricately placed in as a nice garnish.
"Wow! Looks really amazing! Thank you!" she turned around and smiled brightly in return. The smile was so beautiful and innocent, it could have thawed the most frozen of hearts. "You always know what's best!"
"Awe thank you, darlin'. Seeing you happy just melts my heart. There's no wonder why the nation loves you," Mz.Tina patted her chest. Trying to make the young girl look pretty was as simple as breathing. Nothing you could do would make her look bad. After taking some time to admire her work, she checked the time. "Oh dear, it's about time I leave now.. I have to run as usual. You girls have fun now! Make the nation proud!"
"Absolutely!" "Of course!" the two girls chimed. The looked at each other and laughed.
Mz. Tina was beloved and trusted. But with Yingxue's management, even 𝘴𝘩𝘦 was put on a strict schedule while inside Yingxue's room, unaware of the true reason why.
.....
"Ouch! You just stabbed my butt!" Yingxue yelled.
"Hahahah. I barely poked it, Feife-"
"LALALALALALAAAA."
"Oops. Yingxue. Now sit still, will ya?" Aiyan giggled and continued sticking pins into Yingxue's dress. "I'm almost done.. I've altered the sleeves a bit so no matter how you move your arm, the bandage won't show. It even makes the dress look more sweet."
"I knew I could always trust you," Yingxue cheered.
Yingxue was one of the most popular singers in the Huaxia Nation. However, she was mostly centered within the North of the country; her main base of operations being Capital City. Her popularity skyrocketing after her debut 4 years ago when she was only 13, she was known as the young siren, Capital City's angel. Her voice, innocence, beauty and charisma charmed countless people, creating a phenomenon sweeping the nation. However, with too much popularity, came a price.
To get away from the cameras, she and her family lived in a humble home within Bellrose Town, a small suburb by Capital City; a quiet place where she could live a normal life. In truth, Yingxue didn't hate the fame. She loved her fans genuinely and wanted to please them. Thus even when she was in her other persona, she would continue to update her status for her fan base; the Snowflakes.
Aiyan, her cousin, was the daughter of a known powerful perfume industry Lady CEO, Ling Aliya. She wanted to get started as a fashion designer, so with the support and wealth of her family's financial status, she started a new clothing line under the name L.A. around the same age Yingxue started her debut. Ling Aiyan aka L.A. became Yingxue's official designer. Every step Yingxue took was shadowed by the up and coming L.A., making every girl desperate for one of her clothing lines.
As a designer, keeping her identity a secret had never been a problem. Designers were known to stay within the confines of their working space, only showing up during their fashion shows. Even then, with her age, no one could come close to making conclusions about her identity. Thus, L.A. had always been a mystery; a silent mystery.
Now, both have become incredibly famous, using each other as stepping stones, they have reached unprecedented heights; their bonds becoming stronger than steel.
"OOWW!" Yingxue howled.
"Hehe. All done," Aiyan put down the pins in her hand onto her work station, oblivious to the torture she had just conducted.
"Finally.." Yingxue sighed. She twirled in front of the giant mirror in the room.
She had on a long sleeved light pink dress that went down to her knees and a white collar designed at the neck. The skirt half was thick and layered creating a beautiful gradient of pink, with a slit at the side revealing the innermost layer of dark blue. She also wore pink teardrop earrings on each ear and 2 inch white heels with ribbons on. The initials L.A. Fashion were sown onto the side of the dress.
"Wow. It's absolutely stunning. It looks perfect!" Yingxue became starry eyed.
"It looks perfect on YOU," Aiyan joked. Not just anyone could pull off her designs. Her bestie was just that person. "Is your wrist uncomfortable in it?"
"Feels great! Your dress helps hide it perfectly, Aiyan." Yingxue said cheerily. She was positively excited for tonight. They talked and laughed during the final moments until finally, Qilong knocked on the door.
"They're here."
