Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

As time passes Bael stands up to refresh and prepare for a night. Bael through that maybe after good night rest his mind will come up with something. Only if such thing was true for dreams may be gates to lands unknown, not meant for humans to witness. And yet we desire to see them, we desire to know them only to haw eyes closed by our madness, which shield us from the dreadful reality of the universe. And still, such truth is important for if all is mad nothing is mad and so our eyes are opened. Our path finally clear to walk to Ascendency.

After some time Bael has fallen asleep and he saw pith darkness as if the darkest night would lose even its faintest of echos of its light. Darkness was so dark as if one peak would make one's soul fall to the deep pit of despair and horror. And yet Bael felt no fear or despair only peace, calmness and above all pure bliss. Like a child which returned home after a long day of work and abuse where he was safe and in the air smell of freshly cooked bread lingered.

Bael found comfort in an endless abyss of madness infusing despair. And yet as he was looking around he felt missed potential, but what it was Bael was not sure yet. Only then did he become lucid enough to realize he was dreaming. Bael heard about lucid dreams before but never had one before, so he became excited to try things.

Firstly Bael created the heart or more precisely focal point of this pit. He imagined a throne from dark metal with spikes on the backside and skulls for armrests. When bael looked once more he saw a great throne on which he sat as if he was Emperor of all. Then he released his hands and land before he was formed from the darkness. Ziggurats, pyramids, deserts and many more were created and then discarded before Bael stood up and unmade everything.

Once more was Bael standing in empty darkness, when he felt a pull and once more his vision shifted and blurred only to wake up. When Bael looked around him he saw his room, on his desk papers from school and pens in a holder, he also saw his computer, cabinet, and old books which he tends to collect. Next to the window, he had his clock which showed that it was only five in the morning. Sun has yet to come up from behind of forest.

"What was that? Never thought that I would experience a dream like that." Bael smiled as he felt refreshed even when he waked up quite early in comparison to usual." What now." he spoke to himself as he was starting to standing up from bed and left his room for a bathroom to freshen up.

Bael thought about going out as he had still holidays and felt full of energy for some reason. "Ah, walks in the morning and cold air in my lung, what a bliss." As he was talking he felt a familiar smell, not one which he remembered but still familiar as if it was from memory long forgotten. Bael couldn't pass it behind for it piqued his interest. As he follows his nose scent becomes stronger and stronger, and at last, he was standing before an old library. It's three stories high building with seemingly nineteen-century architecture.

"Of course, it is a creepy old library. sight... But still, at least it's not someone's house that would be a problem, so here we go." when Bael opens doors to the library scent of an old book attack him, but he still could follow one from before. As Bael passed through the librarian, who looked like an old lady who teaches first graders math, Bael felt that scant to waver. When he walked to the left corner on the other side of a library he saw a bookcase with many seemingly random books.

There in the right corner of forth from down was a book from which scent was coming. Book had a metallic guard with also metallic eye-like shapes. When Bael took the gray book which was warm to touch. On the front was an imprinted horned skull with seven eyes. When he opened it what he saw was fascinating to say at least. On pages that were made from some type of lather were strange markings were dancing as runes of unknown origin were spontaneously creating and dissolving, while letters of language so heinous and vile that very reality was bending in fear. And yet he when he looked at page more carefully all symbols, shapes and runes stoped and made themselves readable even understandable. When Bael continue reading symbols continued to reshape themselves to create new content.

Bael became immediately fascinated and wondered how such a book got here, someone would clearly see that it is much different than others. As he was in thoughts librarian comes from behind "Hello young man. Those books are one which still awaits sorting out... Ah, I see you have found a book which you like. History of poetry oh my such fascinated book you have chosen not many of young people are interested in poetry these days." Bael looked and hear and then a book in his hands he was at loos but then "A...Ah, yes you are right, hahaha" Bael stated but he didn't correct her, because he didn't understand what just happened but to be safe he agreed with her.

After a short conversation, he left to the cashier to test his theory and to buy that book. When Bael took the book to the cashier to test what will she see, Bael put the book on the counter as his nervosity was skyrocketing, but he needed to know. When the cashier took the book and asked "Good day, would you like to rent or buy?"

"Hello, I would like to buy, thank you." Bael answered as he was staring at the cashier's eyes. He put his nervosity to rest and back up with one sentence "Ok one book about psychological hints of puppies." At that moment Bael realized that this book looked differently to different people. As he paid for the book and took it, he left straight home. Bael was thinking if he saw a real book or only another illusion, maybe it is not an illusion at all but multiple books in one. "No that can't be who would combine some tome with psychological hints of puppies and what was another one? Oh yes, history of poetry. Hahaha"

Bael was weirded out yes but somehow he was also in a very good mood. But as he was nearing home he realizes that maybe he shouldn't show that book to his family, so he hid it under his shirt. Luckily no one was up yet only when Bael entered his room had he realize it only six in the morning. "It is still quite early in the morning and the library was already open, I was lucky when I think about it now." When he once again open the book he was fascinated by its content even when what he sees maybe not true but still.

As he was looking through the book he was in his perimeter some light, as he looked at its source and it was horrifying. Bael saw a mirror. Horrifying wasn't a mirror but what was inside. The most terrifying things are monsters that come from a human base and their form twisted to an unfamiliar shape, because of its familiarity and yet its wrongness creates the unknown in which true fear resides. He saw himself with two glowing eyes, like two darkest pits with irises of that of goat only glowing in blood red.
