Oh fuck it Ill just do a pros and cons list.
Luna lightly chuckled to herself at her foul languaged thoughts and blamed Sienna her eldest cellmate for it.
That girl had the most colorful language.
She cursed in delight and cursed in disgust, and it never ceased to throw off Luna until she started cursing herself.
Even though she had been huffing at puffing at Haemin's remark directed at Hyun, she still couldnt get it off her mind.
She would never admit it out loud but his words made her think, and quite possibly the fact that this was the first time Haemin was so serious had grasped her attention.
So, she took out a notebook from her bag and started listing the pros and cons of Hyun Kim.
Pros:
1. He thinks Im pretty.
2. He's handsome.
3. He dropped his friends very quickly for me.
Cons:
1. Yubi doesn't seem to like him.
2. He dropped his friends too quickly for me.
3. Haemin warned me about him.
Before she could assess the data she had made, her phone pinged, it was Yubi.
'I didn't tell you earlier because I wanted to provide solid proof for you. Hyun Kim is an insensitive player and nothing else. He has dated over 14 girls in one year and hes the one who dumps them every time just because he "feels" like it. He's human trash.'
'I cant change your mind and its your decision but as a friend, this was my duty'
Luna swallowed and clicked on the pictures Yubi had sent her. They were all posts from his instagram and sure enough they had almost a month's difference in the dates.
She gasped when she saw girl number 13, it was Yubi.
She got another message and it was from Hyun.
'Hey, why didnt you come to the cafeteria today? =('
Luna replied,
'I had work to do and also.. Hyun, Im gonna have to cancel our dinner tonight.'
She put her phone down and dreaded another ping, she knew he was going to ask why and she had no idea what she was going to tell him.
She couldnt tell just tell him the truth, he might try to defend himself and Luna didnt know his past well enough to provide a reasonable argument.
And just like she knew it would happen, Hyun texted her asking why and if everything was okay to which Luna replied,
'My boyfriend wouldnt like that.'
She smiled in satisfaction and put her phone down.
That'll scare him away.
And sure enough Hyun didnt message her again and she didnt see him waiting for her in the hallway when her classes ended like she usually did.
But her smugness was quick to subside when her phone didnt ping again even hours later, when she didnt see him waiting for her after class, when she had to walk to work alone.

"You know if you make something in such a bad mood, it'll effect the food." Han said while rolling out dough on his counter infront of Luna's counter.
She didnt look up at him, "Im not in a bad mood."
"Oh yeah? Then dont tell me that you "accidentally" over whipped those eggs and now they cant be used." He retorted.
"Im sorry."
He sighed.
Han was a good man. He was happily married with two sons. He was a compassionate chef and an amazing mentor but sometimes he used his father instincts on Luna and it slightly annoyed her.
"Im not scolding you, Im just asking whats wrong." He said softly.
Luna looked down at the bowl of batter she was working on, "How do you make true friends?" She muttered.
Already expecting this kind of question Han was not at all surprised.
"Well, first of all your goal should not be true friends, its should be simply friends."
Luna put down the spatula, "Then how do you know who is honest with you?"
"You dont." He stated, "Its like when you're buying fruit, you go for the best looking ones but they dont always turn out to taste good and may even be infested."
Han put down the steaming tray of tart shells, " Look, freindships, relationships, betrayals, and heartbreaks are all stepping stones on the path of life, some crooked some perfect, you cant avoid them or else or you'll be stuck in one place forever. You HAVE to step on them."
"You're basically telling me to just suck it up because theres no way around it! That cant possibly be right."
"Yes that is exactly what Im saying. But like I said, some crooked, and some perfect. Wait for the perfect ones, and you're young so there'll definitely be perfect ones too. Im sure of it."
"But what if someone's path only has betrayals and heartbreak?" Luna asked, almost pleading for a solution.
"Then the problem is you. Most people don't realise how pessimistic they're being and end up blaming depression."
Luna looked down at her hands,
Is that it? Am I being too negative all the time?
"You need to find joy in the little things kid, you'll learn to let them light you up." He told her calmly, " Now put down that whisk before you over whip those eggs too."
Luna instantly put the whisk down and smiled, embarrassed.
Yubi walked in the kitchen to get to the staff room in the back but she halted when she saw Luna.
"What are you doing here? I thought you took a day off for the date."
Luna smiled, "Yea well I called it off. Turns out that prick played with my best friend's heart."
Yubi chuckled, "Best friend?"
Luna's face dropped, "Sorry, I just thought-"
Yubi laughed and swung an arm around Luna pulling her close from the side, "Oh please, to be my best friend you and I need to go shopping first, preferably for make up because I cannot let you disrespect those gorgeous features of yours."
Luna grinned and nodded.

Luna carefully picked up another shard of cooled caramel, and placed it delicately on the frosted cupcake.
She picked up another one and put it parallel to the first, her hand shaking slightly but she managed to decorate the last cupcake for this batch.
As she smiled, pleased with her work, Yubi rushed in, "Hey Luna! Tiramisu is here, hes asking for the recipe of those strawberry shortcakes."
Luna looked at Hans.
Am I supposed to give a customer a recipe?
Hans smiled, " Its just Tiramisu."
Luna smiled in amusement over the relationship this café had with a customer.
Yubi grabbed her hand and dragged her outside to the counter.
"This is her. She made those cakes. Isnt she pretty like a doll?" Yubi told the guy but Luna couldnt hear her, her mind went blank when she saw the person infront of her.
Haemin.
"Wow. I didnt know you would be so talented in the kitchen." Haemin smiled.
" He is the sweetest and kindest guy you'll ever meet. I swear even his words are sugar-coated but not in a bad way. Yet he always orders a venti iced americano with ice and no water with 4 extra espresso shots and thats why our manager once called him Tiramisu as a joke and it stuck ever since."
Luna remembered the way Yubi talked about him, affectionately and she stared at him her face void of any emotion except shock.
"Oh right, you two go to the same university right? Yubi asked.
Did Yubi want to ask Haemin for information on Hyun and I that day? Did both of them discuss this? Is that why he warned me?
" Actually we have three classes together aswell." Haemin replied.
Have I really terribly misjudged him?
Haemin isn't Little Finger or Gossip Girl, he's Tiramisu.
She opened her mouth and closed it, what would she say? Where would she begin? She had completely misunderstood him.
And instead of facing the problem for once, Luna did the one thing she always did, avoid it. So she turned around and excused herself saying that she needed to check on the buns in the oven and escaped.
