Alice and Lysander were simply too dumbstruck to even respond, Professor Hannah who just entered the class was speechless at the condition of the class but was soon turned into one when she the four faces who were seated in the second column.
She looked at the scene in utter disbelief, but recovered when one of the Gryffindors' knocked down the his quill from the desk, snapping everyone back to the reality.
Professor Hannah cleared her throat awkwardly as she looked at James, Fred, Lorcan and Roxanne in confusion.
Evelina stood up elegantly and smiled at Professor Hannah, as she bent her head lightly and greeted her respectfully.
"Good Morning Professor Hannah" Evelina said calmly as she had a polite smile on her face, which was slightly warm yet distant.
Professor Hannah looked at Evelina and smiled warmly as she nodded in greeting. She then looked at others who were still stunned at the scene before them.
"James, Fred, Roxanne and Lorcan is this you new way of troubling me and the class" Professor Hannah asked in a disapproving tone.
Fred, Roxanne and Lorcan looked at Professor Hannah in disbelief, whereas James looked like nothing happened.
"Professor, it is James who is looking for new ways to trouble us and not us looking for new ways to trouble you and our fellow students" Lorcan complained in a sulky tone with a wronged expression on his face.
"He is the one who dragged us in front" Fred complained in a whiny tone, as he looked at James accusingly.
"Professor, I have decided to reform for good. I will be taking my classes from second column from this year onwards" James said in a righteous tone, whereas Fred, Roxanne and Lorcan looked at him in horror.
"Why are you making this reform from this year only" Professor Hannah asked in suspicion and doubt.
"It is this year only because this is out O.W.Ls year" James said as he looked at Professor Hannah with confidence.
Professor Hannah looked at him for a complete minute and then sighed as she motioned everyone to settle down in their places.
"So be it. Let us start the class then" Professor Hannah said in a stern tone as she proceeded with her teaching.
Throughout the class Evelina was complete focused on the Professor and her teaching she was taking notes diligently all along.
Whereas Alice, Dominique, Roxanne, Fred, Lorcan and Lysander were to busy thinking of the reason for sudden change in James, that they missed more than half of what the Professor was teaching.
On the other hand, James who was the sole reason most of the students inside the class could not concentrate on the class, was busy concentrating on Evelina's each and every moment and reaction.
He was mesmerized by the way her hand fluidly went across the page and a beautiful set of words was printed with ease.
The bell rang indicating that the period was over, all the students except for Evelina and James heave a sigh of relief internally, as it became too suffocating and uneasy when they saw James seated in the front.
Whereas James frowned as he was returned from his rivere and looked at his wristwatch in displeasure and shock.
Evelina and Professor Hannah did not mind what was going around them and were chatting in comfortable way, in a diplomatic manner.
After Evelina was done talking with Professor Hannah she looked at her friends who were pretty shook from the fact that James spent a complete period in one of the front rows, without complaining even once all along.
