Evelina smiled at the question as she expected this question from either of them. She looked at all three calmly as she quickly framed her answer.
"I lived with my Granny back in France and now she is a bit sick so she moved in with my Uncle's family in USA, so I moved back with my parents and decided to continue my studies over here" Evelina said as she smiled.
She said half-truth to them, it was indeed true that her Granny moved in with her Uncle's family for her health purpose but that was not the sole reason Evelina returned to England.
"I can understand why you miss your Grandma so much, you spent more than a decade with her and now you are away when she is sick" Alice said as she looked at her with empathetic gaze.
Evelina smiled sadly as she nodded, she indeed missed her Granny a lot. Though she is not severely sick but still her health is weak and this is the first time she is away from her Granny when she is sick and weak.
"Why don't I see any of the boys, what are they up to now" Roxanne said as she looked around anxiously.
"I am literally in no mood to be pranked right now" Dominique said as she huffed in frustration.
"Prank.." Evelina asked as she looked at the trio with confusion and question mark on her face.
"Well, the boys love to prank all of us, this is the major reason why every holiday is a nightmare for us. Even today they tried to prank Roxanne with a colour changing shampoo which ended up on Aunt Angelina" Alice said as she chuckled at the memory of bright silver hair on Angelina.
"Fred was getting scolded by Aunt Angelina when he fell down and James entered carelessly, he did not notice Fred on the floor and hence ended up falling on him and that is when you came in" Dominique said as she was stifling her laughter.
Roxanne was already laughing like her life depended on it, her eyes were watering slightly, Alice was also giggling in delight and amusement.
Evelina was not sure what to say or react as she was utterly at a loss for words. Even though she already guessed it was some kind of unavoidable situation, still she wa stunned when she heard the cause.
"What are you guys laughing about" Fred asked as he entered the living room along with James, Lauren, Lorcan and Lysander.
"We were discussing how great James's luck is lately" Alice said as she smirked, sarcasm crystal clear in her tone.
"Why did I become a topic of your discussion" James asked slightly annoyed as he glanced at the girls.
"Well...it started with your first love and then changed to various topic before coming back to the ultimate fortune you received today morning when Evelina just entered" Dominique explained making Roxanne burst into another round of laughs.
"M-my first l-love" James stuttered as he repeated the key words in Dominique's sentence, unconsciously his eyes wandered towards Evelina who was seated calmly, while smiling at their conversation.
"Don't tell me you don't remember you first love, Gryffindor" Roxanne asked as she stared at him wide eyed, acting as if she was beyond shocked.
James relaxed lightly as he sighed internally, he did not know why but he was nervous when they brought up about their first love in front of Evelina.
"Why are you so tensed about it, by any chance are you really in love" Alice asked as she looked at him seriously, there was no sense of humour or joke in it.
