Chapter 27 - OUTCASTS....

She stood up and went towards it without saying anything, surprising others and especially Lysander who wa quiet all along.

"What happened Eva don't tell me you are offended by it" Fred asked in shock and worry, as he did not want her to get offended on the her first visit itself.

Evelina looked at everyone, all of them looked worried and surprised only Lysander was the one who understood why she was approaching in his direction.

"She is coming over here to look through these books" Lysander said as he pointed towards the stack of books beside him.

"Another point to be added for why James and Eva are polar opposites" Dominique said as she grinned making others laugh in amusement.

Evelina simply ignored and picked up the first book on top of the stack, she quickly skimmed through the pages of the introductory chapter and found it interesting.

"Whose books are these" Evelina asked as looked behind to face the girls while she pointed towards the stack of books.

"The books you find in this house is either Teddy's or Rose's, other than them no one else is interested in reading books. Aunt Hermione likes reading but her books won't be here" Roxanne said as she shrugged simply.

Evelina chuckled and nodded in understanding, they were not the only ones who hated reading things. She lived enough to find many like them daily across her life, she as now come to accept the fact that the people who like reading are the outcasts among others.

She is fine being an outcast as long as she is allowed to read her fill. She took the book she flipped through and returned back to her seat. After settling down she started reading the book page by page calmly, simply ignoring all the shocked and weird gazes thrown her way.

"Rose darling, how about you read that book afterwards and talk to us right now" Lauren asked her in a coaxing tone.

Evelina paused her reading and looked up indifferently at Lauren, her gaze plain without any emotions.

"Your idle chat is everything but informative, I'd rather read this book than participate is that chat. You guys continue you won't disturb me" Evelina said calmly as she resumed her reading without further delay.

Others were left speechless and dumbstruck, Alice and Lysander shared a look before they also grabbed the nearest book and started reading as what Evelina said enlightened them.

The ones who were yet to pick a book felt like a bucket of cold water poured on them. They looked at the three busy figures immersing themselves in their own land of reading and then at each other who were idly wasting their time doing nothing.

"Kids, when you are hungry make sure to eat. I am going back to my room to rest for a bit" Grandma Molly said as she entered the living room after completing her work in the kitchen.

"Sure Grandma" everyone said in unison as they offered her warm smiles, Evelina nodded thankfully as well and earned and soft chuckle from Grandma Molly.

"Such a sweet child" Grandma Molly said as she lightly and affectionately patted on Evelina's head who seated at the entrance and went back upstairs.

Time passed by, the adults and the older children who went out for their work and training respectively returned one after another. Every single person who returned was stunned to see the scene in front of them, none of them ready to believe it.

All of them gathered near the fireplace silently as they were simply dumbstruck by the scene they were currently witnessing.
