"It is fine, stop teasing my poor grandchildren. They are finally turning over a new leaf, no need to make a big deal out of it" Grandma Molly said as she smiled warmly towards the kids seated.
All of them nodded in a grateful manner and beamed her a cheeky grin. Grandma Molly waved her hand and sighed as she smiled helplessly towards them.
"If you are all hungry then come, dinner is ready" Grandma Molly said as she ushered everyone inside the dining area.
After dinner everyone was seated in the living chatting and discussing amongst themselves in small groups.
Evelina felt a small tap on her shoulder and looked up to find James standing near her. He waved at her lightly and asked her to follow him silently.
Evelina frowned lightly but followed what he asked her to do, she stood up slowly and exited the living room without anyone noticing her.
As the duo were seated in the corner they could easily evade all the eyes and get out of the house without any hitch.
"Why did ask me to come out or should I say sneak out" Evelina asked in a calm tone as she looked at James curiously.
"Consider it the way you see it fit, I brought you out to fulfill my commitment to you" James said as he quickly grabbed her hand and pulled her behind the house.
Before Evelina could object him for holding her hand, she was dumbstruck by the view which greeted her.
There was a pleasant sound of the insects which perfectly synced with the cool night breeze and the sound of river flowing. The beautiful night moon illuminated the calm river flow, little fireflies flyed from here to there giving out a magical view.
"Do you like it" James asked as he looked at Evelina with a warm smile on his face.
"I love it" Evelina said as she breathed out in awe, she was mesmerized and spellbound by the beautiful scenery before her.
"Come" James said as he slowly pulled her towards the river bank, he sat down and pulled Evelina down making her sit as well.
They sat there in silence as they enjoyed the night breeze comfortably in each other's company. James looked at his side were Evelina was seated with her eyes closed, her serene expression gave James a peace of mind unknowingly.
"Whenever I was conflicted with something or angry with myself I came here to calm myself down. My every problem had a solution when I came here and thought it through again" James said as he admired the moon warmly.
Evelina looked at him calmly, her eyes conflicted and uncertain. She was heart was a mess because of the turmoil brewing inside.
James noticed her calm face yet conflicted eyes, he faced Evelina with a warm smile.
"Though we don't know each other since long but I hope we can be good friends and share each others problems" James said as he directed a warm and sincere smile towards Evelina.
The latter was shocked and looked at James in confusion, she was not sure what James meant by his statement, which was completely out of blue.
"What do you mean by that" Evelina asked in a calm tone but confusion evident in her eyes.
"Rose, from the first time we met I had a feeling that we are similar in some way. We both are shouldering responsibilities which we wished we never had to yet things don't go according to our wishes and we will have to shoulder them no matter what" James said calmly in a mature tone.
