Chapter 4 - Trees And Global Warming (Part 3)

We have been talking about how growing trees might help solve global warming.

Since the carbon would need to be kept from burning (or being eaten). We have also discussed launching tree trunks into space. Building solar powered mass accelerators.

It is an intriguing concept. Authors like Jules Verne, Author Conan Doyle, and others might have written that type of story.

Tree trunks attached at ends to create triangles.

Creating a vast sun shield. Or a simple ring to encircle the orbit.

It might take the human work of 'Waldo Operators' to move and arrange those trees. Working planet side, those people would be 'orbital foresters'.

Using slingshot orbits, the trees might be sent to the moon. Stuck into the surface like a pin cushion.

Using the moon for slingshot effect, the trees might be sent to Planet Mars. On hand for the terriforming projects by Mars colonists.

Sadly, a cartoonist's view is best left on paper. The ideas are trashy. Taking our problems and shipping them somewhere else.

It is important to understand. That kind of 'science-ish' fantasy fiction is mostly a century old.

We should grow more trees. We must stop uncontrolled trash dumping. We should not buy products that leave behind enduring wrappings.

In the next chapter, I will suggest that we create Genetic Modified Organisms that would be better than trees.
