Chapter 2 - The Hogwarts Express

She turned around and pushed her luggage facing to the wall. She stopped and looked back at the man whom she still do not even know the name suspiciuosly.

I am not stupid to follow all the instructions of a stranger. Even his son did the same so why shouldn't I?

Not included in their calculations, the two were pushed with strength children could not withstand. Clearly the objective was to make us move faster towards the wall.

Oh great, this is what I've got in return for trusting him? As expected, one should not trust strangers.

She was about to vent anger towards the boy on her side when she noticed she did not bump into any wall. The wall that the two thought to be a joke of his turned out to be really where platform nine and three-quarters is.

I was right about trusting that man. We're here already. The bloody platform nine and three -quarters.

She then inspected her things, rechecking if she had forgotten to bring what she needed, and looked at her ticket, forgetting that she was angry about the push and was about to vent her anger to the unknown silent boy that she really hardly associate with the word 'human'.

All human are social creatures. They rarely not interact with each other. And this creature is already on Ezereath's imaginative boundary between human and a thing.

An object that is at rest stays at rest unless and external force acts on it. He do not initiate talks and do not talk if not necessary. He talked earlier, so she placed him on the 'humanity" side but only a few inches away from the 'object' side because of his indifference.

Seeing the train and the departure time, she immediately pushed her luggage towards the entrance, but did not forget to look at her now companion.

You keep on being silent, but I do not care. Your father helped me, so I'd return the favor by being your temporary travel companion even if you do not want to.

"A pure blood, half-blood or a muggle-born? Which family are you from?" the girl near at the train asked. She is wearing her uniform already.

Blue stripes. Ravenclaw.

"Uhm... Is there a heirarchy in Hogwarts for students to really have to know?" She was brought up by her parents being taught about both wizard and muggle world and having one witch parent, she did not like the idea of one being superior if one is a pureblood. One can excel if they do their best and not let your weaknesses eat you up.

The boy on her side did not answer too.

"Oh, another students who do not answer my questions. But, it's alright. No heirarchy in Hogwarts is not impossible, but house rivalry prevents those to go overboard. Just be wary of a few Slytherin students. They're the ones who usually looks highly to pureblood families." She smiled and led them inside.

Not seen by the two girls, the boy change his expression awhile ago when the ravenclaw student told them about Slytherin. But this change was miniscule and his face went pokerface again, and no one saw this change.

They were late compared to the other students so there were only two rooms available. But the other one was already occupied by two students and the other seats were 'reserved' by them so they do not have any choice but sit together.

Before the train started, another pair entered. The two smiled and took the available seats.

During the ride, the trolley lady improved her way of selling. There was a menu-like tablet pc and if you want to buy, all you need to do is to press the button and the trolley lady would knock on your door to deliver the snacks.

Having given by her parents pocket money, both wizard currency and muggle ones, she is a bit carefree and bought what she wanted from the trolley lady.

Having bunch of zeroes following the number 1 on her bank account in her phone, she scanned the QR code and payed for what she took. She did not even took note of how much money she spent.

That was just for today. I'll try not to spend a lot in school. Consider this a reward for finding my way to school by myself... ughh... without the help of mum.

Munching on her snacks, sharing it to her seatmates while talking about random stuff is quite a good way of passing time while travelling.

Because they were new students, they exchanged information about what they know abouy Hogwarts. And of course, they told their names.

The redhead boy is Vale Potter, and the blonde girl is Miya Lovegood. Apparently, the two were childhood friends, having their families close since their grandparents' time. They have other friends too, but they sat in different rooms because the two were late.

The two even have the most probable house they'll belong: Vale in Gryffindor and Miya in Ravenclaw. It runs in the blood, they say.

There are exemptions, of course. Like the son of Harry Potter, Albus Severus Potter, who went to Slytherin which was unexpected because his whole family is a Gryffindor. But it is also without any reason. Harry Potter can speak Parseltongue, which is the ability of Salazar Slytherin of the House of Slytherin. It was said he got the ability because of Vol--- you-know-who, and the Sorting Hat also wanted to put him in Slytherin for his talent to flourish at first but he stubbornly hoped for him not to be placed in Slytherin.

Rumors.

The talk continued. It varied from the different houses to the spells mastered and to the mysteries of the school.

Their side was lively.

It is just that only the three students were talking and the other one is staring outside the window, staying silent as if he was mute.

If I haven't heard him complaining to his father earlier, I would have thought he is mute.

Being talkative and encountering such silent type person, she really regretted not getting a few liquid luck at home.
