"Dazzlingly gorgeous" Jessica said. "You have an eye for elegance and beauty. I bet you will be lady of the night." I blushed yet flattered. Who would not be? A word from Jessica Alba is enough to boost my self-confidence. I smiled and said, "thank you. A friend help me chose this."
I was wearing a two-toned silver-nude gown. It's simple yet elegant. This gown is me, no special cuts or expensive accents but a play of color. It perfectly fits my body as a second skin and I feel comfortable in it. The silver-nude color plays the trick. As I move, it creates an illusion that colors interchangeably appears soothingly and reflects to light magically. I wore the set jewelry my father gave me on my 18th birthday. A white gold ring, bracelet and necklace. The necklace has an M pendant made of Alexandrite, a very rare (and very hard to acquire) gemstone variety. It suit perfectly to my gown because it too undergoes dramatic color shifts depending on the lighting condition. This is caused by the rare combination of minerals including chromium, iron, and titanium. It is strongly pleochroic which means it changes color as I move. Furthermore, it also changes colors independently of viewing angle under an artificial light source. It is greenish blue under natural light and then becomes reddish purple in soft, incandescent light. The white gold ring also has an alexandrite stone on it. Even the bracelet is accentuated with this rare gem.
Nothing special too in my 3-inch nude-color stiletto except for its price. It's simple and comfortable to wear. It is not even new, my mother bought it for my 18th birthday party and it became my favorite since then. It's a Stuart Weitzman Alexandrite Stiletto and my mother never mentioned how much it cost her but she said it's worth a fortune. She further said that it's a collectors item, the only one in the world.
I said nothing is special in every bits and pieces of what I am wearing because I prefer comfort rather than extravagant items. The gown I wore is actually on 50% off from its original price, the expensive shoes and jewelries are priceless since they were gifts. Except for the make up kits, I can not gamble my skin with unbranded ones so it's quite pricy, nevertheless, it's worth the price.
I am sure, Rona won't dare come near us. She would just worsen her feeling of insecurity if she does so. Plus, at this moment, her feet would now be swollen and painful unless she changed her footwear.
I just realized, we don't need to hold grudges to make people pay their wrong doings. You just make yourself happy, be true in dealing with people, free from pretentions and comparisons. It's enough to kill her softly.... I think when she sees me happy especially with VIPs it makes her world turn upside down.
