Though I had a nightmare last night, I decided to get up early to do some stretching and jogging. I think I'm getting heavier each day and I need to burn the extra bulges that is now starting to accumulate in my abdomen. I also have to attend to our garden plants especially the area where my bonsai are located. I got interested in bougainvillea bonsai when I graduated in college. As part of the graduation celebration, a classmate invited me to their home for a party. The party was in their huge garden where every corner was highlighted with spectacular bonsai. I was mesmerized with its uniqueness and that was the start when I collected different kinds of bougainvillea bonsai. At first, I bought live bonsai and done research on how to take good care of it. At that time, I was not yet busy because it was still vacation time and I was not yet employed. I had ample time watching videos including how to do it myself. Google and Youtube were big help. I started doing it myself and did hunting for bonsai roots and trunks. It was not easy at first but when I got my first successful try out, it became a hobby. But since I got hired as a nurse before, much until now, I did not have time anymore so I entrusted the care to our family gardener. He gave updates from time to time and he even added to my collection by doing it himself. He did it with passion, he even made it possible to have the rarest kind. This weekend, I intend to devote my time to them. When I saw them, I was again and again fell in love with it. The bonsai are all blooming with different colors and sizes of flowers. Evidently showing how grateful they are for the care they are receiving. Just like them, I want to be like them, giving beautiful color to life yet with thorns to protect them whenever there are dangerous intruders. I sighed and approached a two-toned bougainvillea flower. It's perfectly blooming. I remember trying this myself when I saw how it was done. Two differently colored flowers in one stem. So beautiful and unique. Bougainvillea is such a tough creation in the garden. I can't complain spending two days in the garden, even if it meant forever, I would be delighted. What a refreshing weekend to scaffold my weekdays work.
