Chereads / Rufus: The killing bear / Chapter 9 - Chapter 8: Becoming Human

Chapter 9 - Chapter 8: Becoming Human

It has been a full 48 hours since Carlos has been turned into a sheep and he still didn't understand how he became a sheep, so like the pathetic person he is, he went to sleep and was going to think about it in the morning. Carlos woke up to a feeling of familiarity but brushed it off as " I must be getting used to being a sheep" but however this was not the case. Carlos stood up went over to the neatly stacked books.

"Hmmm, I could atleast have a look at the names of the books, I should be able to manage atleast that with these hooves," Carlos slowly walked over to the books, and reached out his hand and he relised that what he had was not a hoove but rather a bear claw.

"YES I CAN FINALLY READ ALL... all of this info,"

Carlos didn't exactly like reading so having to read twelve books was way more than enough reading Carlos needed, so he came up with a plan. First he would check the titles of each book and atleast one of them had something to do with a system inventory, right?. Secondly he would store the twelve books into his inventory in alphabetical order so it was easy to find what booke he needed at that time. Thirdly whenever he needed to know some info about the system he could just check the books rather than asking his "annoying system" that would probably either repeat something or say nothing at all to him.

Carlos missed being a bear but he missed being a human even more so he hurriedly checked through each twelve book titles. The book Titles consisted of only one word so if what he needed to know was inside kne of the books but wasn't a title he would have to make an accurate guess of which one had the jnfo he needed.

The Book Titles:

- Affinity

- Blood

- Beasts

- Items

- Language

- Levels

- Magic

- Points

- System-Data

- System-Secrets

- Transformations

- Ultimate

Carlos noticed that there was non labeled "Inventory" so he decided to focus on becoming human and then just go get a bag from the near city to put all the books into. Carlos grabbed the book labelled "Transformations" and took a look at the contents, there was four chapters including:

1. Abilities

2. Appearance

3. Absorbtion

4. Level

Carlos flicked through to the first chapter, the chapter had three paragraphs.

Abilities

When user absorbs a beast or drinks the blood from a living animal, if the mentioned has certain abilities then the user will be able to use those abilities to his hearts content. For example if user absorbs or drinks the blood of an "Arkranium Bird" he would then gain the ability "fly" however after recieving a skill the user will have to stay as the beast for a minimum of 48 hours in order to get accustomed to the skill and beast.

Even though the user can use the abilities to his heart's content, that is not always the case as certain beasts would have skills that were linked to that animal species, these are called Linkedln skills. If the user was to absorb or drink the blood of the "Arkranium Bear" whilst running there would be a skill the user could activate called "Bear movement" which would increase the speed of the user by 120%.

Every boss beast has their own unique skill different to the rest, if the user were to absord this beast then the user would gain that beasts linkedln skill to use freely aswell as an additional skill that would allow the user to gain a wish from the system.

Carlos was a sheep for the last two days which was what the equivalent of 48 hours was so Carlos was excited to see what skill he got. Carlos learned a few things whilst he was a sheep, such as how to open his stats.

"God, open my stats," Carlos whispered

The screen opened up infront of him.

"Damn, I hate that you are so useless, yet arrogant enought to call yourself god,"

Apon seeing his stats, he was glad everything went up. Aside from that, he was excited to use this new skill of his so he quickly exited the cave and screamed in his mind "ENERGY CONVERSION!" then suddenly all the grass around him vanished into a white light. The white light charges at Carlos in almost an instant so Carlos couldn't react in time but he felt more refreshed then a new born baby. Carlos wasn't happy about this new skill of his as he thought of it useless and a waist of time because "how could i use this ability inside of a cave or literally anywhere that doesn't have grass," Carlos re-entered his cave with an angry "huff".

Carlos sat back down and opened the Book to Chapter 2.

Appearance

When the user absorbs a beast the user will take the shape of the beast for 48 hours before turning back to your original form. After returning back to you original form you will then have the ability to freely transform to different beasts at will.

When the user changes his "form" he may be able to change at will but in order to activate "LinkedIn" skills the user must stay as the beast for atleast four hours. It is possible to use "LinkedIn" skills as other beasts, however this can only be achieved by beasts that have similar blood lines.

Carlos put down his Transformations book as he thought that it was just about the actual transfornations and wouldn't hold any information on how to become different beasts so he grabbed the book titled "Blood".

Blood

-Beasts

-Local beasts

-Magic

-Summons

Beasts

The user has different amounts of blood stored away inside the system inventory. The Blood of the user van be transformed or changdd in certain ways. The blood vould be combined to create a new beast, it could be adddd together to make the beast stronger or could be used to level up the user himself.

The blood of the Beast can be used to identify exactly what class it is, the rarity and the level of it. When the user has collected enough blood of the beast the user can then transform into the beast.

That information was enough for Carlos for two reasons, 1. He understood that in order to become human again he needed the blood of a living one and 2. He had enough of reading.
