Carlos woke up and almost immediately sprinted for the city nearby but was stopped by the sight of something half the size of a two story house.
"S...System, wh....what is that?" Carlos stuutered from the fear he felt from the large creature right infront of him.
"That is a Nature Class beast, level 47 and is commonly known as The Hunting Jip,"
"The Hunting Jip is a legendary beast that is rarely ever found due to the number of times it's species was hunted, the beast was hunted regularly as his coat was incredibly soft and also had the effect of healing any sort of injury or disease, this has caused the beast to rise highly in price aswell as almost double any amount of it, if captured alive,"
Catlos ran back and hid behind a tree., when Carlos peeked out from behind it he saw the giant mammoth looking beast turn away from him and started to leave. Carlos let out a *sigh* as he was glad that the beast wasn't aggressive in anyway. After this encounter he continued cautiously towards the city of Graywood. Once Carlos reached the outer edge of the city he released another *sigh* of relief as he didn't run into any other massive or dangerous creature.
Carlos was now feeling a but more calm but he had a problem.
"how am I supposed to get living human blood wothout everyone thinking that I'm trying to eat?"
Carlos spent a few minutes thinking but he couldn't think of anything as no one understood him, but there was one idea that struck him.
"What if I used one of the books to see if I could communicate to the humans,"
Feeling proud of himself for coming up with such a great idea he strode carelessly through the forest to his cave and this time he didn't run into the Hunting Jip.
Once Carlos returned to his cave he had a look at two different books "Beasts" and "Language". He looked at Beasts because it would have some info on certain beasts maybe even what language they spoke, he also looked at Language but he had less hope for it as this seemed to be more of a what languages are in this world kind of book. Carlos decided, he was going to go through the Beasts Book.
Beasts
-Local Beasts (Update able)
-Beasts Quests
-Levels of strength
Local Beasts (Update able)
Graywood
-Human
A beast of small body proportion compared to other beasts however a "Human" has the ability to grow more powerful than a beast ten times thier size. (English 0-105)
-Hunting Jip
A mammoth like Beast that is rarely found in this era due to hunting and high demand of thier healing skin. (Unearthly Beast 0-70)
-Xerself
A humanoid beast that is actually extremely similiar to Humans however they are superior as they have wings made of light that they can control at command aswell as almost triple times in natural strength. The Xerself is also known as Zero Elf due to thier pointy ears but the Zero part of the name is due to a mental feature rather rhan a physical one. If any race were to save or somehow make the Xerself owe you thier life than they would have full Loyalty to you amd No one else including thier own King, therefor Zero stands for the fact that they have Zero doubt or loyalty issues to thier saviour. (Earthly Beast, English 0-170)
Although he wasn't finished reading the book he nearly had all the information he needed. Carlos very quickly went over two lines inside of the "Languages" Book and that was part of the remaining information he needed.
There is two types of Beast languages, Earthly and UnEarthly. Earthly is a Language used by intellectual beasts such as Arkranium Bears, Xerself or a Mutated Human whilst UnEarthly is used usually by beasts with almost no intelligence such as Hunting Jip or a Cow.
Carlos understood that if he could find a Xerself he would be able to talk to one and become a Xerself himself. (Whilst Carlos has spent time with the System he has learned a few things about it such as, in order to access anthing like his stats he needed to call it God, another thing he found out was that he has 3 weekly questions he can ask)
"System where can I find Xerselfs?"
"Xerselfs are a race of superior humans that live in the dark however they only prefer to but they can still live where sun shines but it is more likely to find one inside a cave,"
"How many Caves have Xerselfs inside of Graywood?"
"One Hundred and forty seven,"
"Where are these caves?"
[Asking this question will provide a random number of coordinates that will lead to different caves, do you still wish to ask this]
"Yes,"
"You will recieve four different cave coordinates, they will show inside the Quest Log,"
Then a small blue box appeared at the top right of his view but like his stats ge could inly see when he closed his eyes. He focused on it and it opened up with a Quest named "The Five Caves of Freedom," When Carlos focused on this it showed the following.
Quest Name:
The Five Caves of Freedom
(Path of the Cave Dwellers)
There is a total of five different caves with different races that are holding Xerselfs hostage. Your mission is to find and eliminate all of the Invaders and save the Xerselfs.
(possible) Rewards:
Favor of the Xerself
Sword of Filo
Scroll of Teleportation
Scroll of Information
Kings Command
Carlos was originally intending on just becoming a Human then figuring it out from there but he didn't expect this to be anything like a game and give him "Quests". This Quest seemed difficult for Carlos as he had nearlt no power in general so he couldn't kill a cow even if it could save his life. Plus there was no garuntee that these four coordinates were even 4/5 of the Quests required ones, for all he knew 1/5 of them could've been the Cave that started the Quest but the other 3 he had, would have nothing to do with the Quest.
Carlos didn't actually know how strong a power level of 8 was so he went to try it out on a tree.
"UARGHHH!!" Carlos punched the tree with all his might and surprisingly the tree went flying until it could no longer be seen so he tried it again but this time the only thing that happened was a bear hurting his hand. Carlos remembered his skill Energy conversion and how refreshed he felt after using it so he ran to a nearby grassland and used his skill. To his surprise all of the grass turned into a white light, and when all of the grass turned it was ALL of the grass, the 137 km radius of Grasslands was all turned into a white light then rushed into Carlos's body. This time Carlos didn't feel refreshed however he felt so much more than refreshed, he felt like he was a warm summers breeze, just extremely
So once again he walked up to the nearest tree and gave it a punch with all his might. The time the tree vanished, it literally just vanished all that was left behind was a hole where the roots used to be. Carlos sill had a little amount of energy left after that blow. Carlos now understood that after using this skill of his it would increase his stats temporarily by ten folds, he could use this to his advantage in order to "eliminate" his enemies aswell as the races that are keeping the Xerselfs hostage.
