It was more than an hour and Adriana was still standing hesitantly in front of the large door with her hands on the knob . Behind the doors was lying a bedridden man who was waiting to see her daughter before going to bed.
After returning from Sebastian's house, Adriana had already set her mind that she'll tell everyone the truth but Richard Estevan, Adriana's father deserved to know the truth first. After knowing this man, Adriana started to regard him as his own father from his heart and she can't bring herself to hide the truth from him .
Due the hypnotherapy Adriana was able to retrieve some of her fragments of memories. It was the painful event which had separated her from her parents forever after. She also recalled that her real identity is not the daughter of Estevan Family but a middle class girl whose world was completely different from her present life. There was a vast difference between her lifestyle she was living now and the one before the crash. But she still was worried about her real identity as what she knew currently was very little to lead her to anything. The only thing that can lead her to her past was the place that she recalled was her home.
An hour ago, Aunt Emma came and informed her, "Ma'm, the master wishes to see you. He wants to discuss something with you". On hearing this she thought that it would be a good chance to tell him the truth as she was already confused not knowing how to broach the topic. But the moment she reached the door, a cold sweat broke on her forehead. Just as she was about to open the door, a nurse came out of the room. She was an all-time nurse specially appointed by Sebastian to monitor any improvement in his father's health. Adriana asked her about any improvements to which the nurse replied, "His health is been recovering at a faster pace after your return. He even started taking his medicines without creating a fuss, so that he can encourage you for taking your own medicines on time."
On her way to her house, she had thought of all the possible ways in which she would reveal the truth to Richard Estevan . He was the first person who held the right to know the truth but after knowing that his condition was getting better and revealing the truth now may lead to detoriation of his health, she changed her mind.
After all she don't want to become the cause of his downfall. She decided to break this news when the time would be correct.
The Old man was sitting on his bed. He chatted with Adriana for a while but after a little while he became silent. He was looking like he was having a hard time telling her something. So Adriana asked him if he wants to say something to which he replied, "Actually there's a party that I want you to attend".
' He was hesitating to tell me this ' she thought being confused as there was nothing difficult in attending a party in her eyes.She asked in confusion, " Whose party is it?". The Old man then saw the confusion in her eyes and immediately took the opportunity and said , "The invite was send to me but as you can see that it won't be possible for me to attend so I want you to go in my stead. I will tell you about the party if you promise me that you won't back out after knowing it". Adriana thought she can at the least attend a party for him and so she immediately replied, "Of course father I will attend it for you. Now tell me who is the host of the party." "Haden" as soon as she heard her cousin's name she taught that meeting him in person would be a good thing but the way everyone awaited her response she immediately knew that the relationship between Adriana and haden must not have been good as he was his second uncle's son and she knew that there is always competition for legacy in high societies. So she remained silent letting the person in front break the ice. "Are you still upset from the incident from before. Believe me that punk is already feeling guilty and he has apologized to me many times". Adriana processed his words and replied " Don't worry father , let bygones be bygones and it's not like I can back down after promising you so I'll attend the party. "
Although Richard Estevan was already turning towards old age but his brain was still working like that of a successful businessman and he immediately noticed that something was off with his daughter's behaviour . However he didn't concerned himself much with Adriana's behaviour thinking that she just now came home from the hospital and was still suffering from the trauma.
After ending the conversation she left the old man to sleep. When she was coming out of the room, she suddenly collided with the maid who was not seeing where she was going because of the huge bouquet of flowers.
Due to the collision the flowers were all scattered on Adriana as she was lying on the floor after the fall. The maid was frightened to the core as she was aware of her anger . She helped Adriana to stand and was waiting to get her scolding when Adriana left her without saying anything.
Moments later Aunt Emma came to Adriana. "Ma'm are you okay. I just now heard from the maid that you collided and she was newly appointed so she didn't knew ....."She was asking her like a worried mother but she cutted her midway saying, "I'm fine Aunt Emma . You don't need to get yourself so worried , okay."
"But you collided with flowers...." Aunt Emma's tone was turning to a worrywart mother when Adriana interrupted her, "It's were only mere flowers not something dangerous so don't worry so much and it's not like I got hurt or something" , Adriana said jokingly to brush away Aunt Emma's worries but not understanding the things that she wanted to tell Adriana.
Aunt Emma was surprised by Adriana's reaction and she felt that something was definitely wrong with her
The next morning she reported the incident to her master. Richard was already suspicious from her past behaviors but he neglected her thinking that they were the after effects of the accident but on listening to the previous days incident he told Aunt Emma that not to tell about this information to anyone until he investigates the case clearly.
On the other hand Adriana was unaware of the troubles that were coming her way.
